Went in to get my tires checked. They told me only 2 needed changed and they would rotate them. Called me back and said they couldn’t rotate them (which is fine), but ended up charging me for it and i didn’t notice until later. One of the tires that they said was fine ended up having a hole in it.
They claim they’re slammed packed for days but all three employees just sat in their little smoke shack and side eye anyone who rolls in. Crappy phone communication, rude employees, even as a last resort don’t take it to Walmart.
I didn't like the customer service. But the mechanic's were excellent. I called them the day before I got a quote when I got there they gave me another price! I had a appointment I told them that and the line was long and customer service person said we will get to you when we can. And myself and another man both had an appointment at the same time! We both thought that was odd. Over all I won't use their service again.
They said they didn’t have the right tools to change my oil so I left and went to vaveline and WALMART FORGOT TO PUT MY CAP BACK ON AND OIL GOT EVERYWHERE!! The manager just said to come back and he’ll clean it up but that doesn’t fix it, he needs to be fired!!
I made an appointment and was told that it would a 2 hour wait. Then when they finally got my car they could not get my bolts off. Went to the other Walmart and they were able to complete everything. This place is so unprofessional. When I set up my appointment the manager talked about his new job and how he checked out of this one. I think all the employees have checked out. DO NOT GO HERE
Very unprofessional. Called three times during normal business hours and nobody picked up. It auto-transferred me to Customer Service, who then just transferred me back after I explained what was happening. It then went back to Customer Service again and then she basically told me there was nothing she could do and to just schedule online. I used to go here for every oil change and I will never be back.
I brought in a flat tire on the rim and asked them to take a look at it and plug it if it was possible, they came back after about 10 minutes and told me that they couldn’t fix it, and that I needed a new tire, so I said well what do you have, he searched on his computer and said that he didn’t have any tires in stock, and would I like to order one, I said no, I immediately took it over to Budget Tire in Holt… they fixed my tire and didn’t charge me a dime!!! I drove on that tire to Middleburry, Indiana… and it’s still going!!!…. No Good!!! And Beware!!!!
Wow your lucky your getting one star. Old guy at the counter was very rude . As soon as we walked In at 530 , we asked if they could switch my tire put real quick I had the rim already and off the car. The guy persisted they were too busy and couldn't that I needed to make an appt , umm no?? I do have to get to my own job in the morning. I attempted to leave and go elsewhere my husband was persistent and got them to take the rim they close at 7pm let's see if it gets done . But the old guys attitude was very very unpleasant. Don't go here !
Worst customer service. Had a tire with a slow leak. Took it to the tire center for Help. They had the car for a few hours just to later and inform us that they won’t work on the car because the tires are eight years old. Then they left early without returning the keys. And left us running around Walmart trying to find someone to help us get our key back…
If I could give a zero star I would but I can’t. First we scheduled an appointment for 7am. This appointment was confirmed, we get to the tire place and some to find out they don’t open until 8 am. We leave and come back now at 8am the guy who came to the counter told us that the tech isn’t there. So we wait longer 6 and a half hours later for an oil change and new tires being put on. (They were working on the car the whole time) we it our car back. A week later my car is making a really weird noise, I take my car into a shop and they tell me the lug nuts were so loose they could unscrew them with their hands. Come to find out they were supposed to tighten them after 50-80 miles (Walmart never told us this). We tried to call Walmart to discuss this and the employee on the phone demanded we tell him why we needed the manager so he can give him a heads up. We were placed back on hold and asked to speak to any manager the person on the phone said they would get the store manager, 20 minutes later of being on hold no one answered the phone. This is very frustrating and unsafe considering we put children in our cars.
I had to make 4 trips there because they never could fit me into the schedule. I needed to charge/test auto battery and was told to be there by 4:30 but when I arrived at 4:20pm I was then told that was not enough time. Another wasted trip. I bought a new battery but was sent home with the wrong one which caused me to be 2 hrs late for wrk the following day. I do not like their policy of scanning the battery as their means of receipt. To many options could go wrong. I could say more but overall I'm just happy that my vehicle will not die in me in the middle of winter.
completely terrible, these people are SOOO lazy and will do anything to get out of actually doing their job. I’ve called about 10+ times and i’ve been sitting there while the phone rings for 2-3 mins. After i finally got them to answer, they literally just hung up on me. NEVER GO HERE, the okemos location will do you right. LAZY BUMS
This place is a joke. I had a flat tire that apparently was covered under the insurance. That I paid when I got my new tires put on. They tried to charge me for a not only that, but they left me outside in the cold. To take my own tire off my car put a spare on. ... Do they Kept my tire for 2days And actually made me pay for a brand new tire and service. Even though they didn't put it on my car. I had to take it to another tiger center where low a d be hold. I wasn't supposed to pay for a new tire at all and the Walmart. Tire center out in okemos fixed me up right thank God. Lazy slobs here
Last week I had such a pleasant oil change experience. I called 40 minutes ahead to make sure oil change services were still available for that day. I pulled in at 4:40 and the man in charge was apologetic that I'd have to wait about an hour for my oil change because the day crew was getting ready to leave (I was already expecting to wait, so this was not bothersome to me at all, but I thought his being apologetic about it was incredibly kind). Then he came in the waiting room to tell me the day crew could change the oil in 15 minutes, so it would be ready sooner than expected. On top of that, one of the crew members who changed my oil rang me up at the register and was so friendly! I figured most people would be disgruntled to do one more job at the end of their shift, but she had a happy demeanor and was very pleasant. I definitely think this crew went above and beyond and I wanted to commend them for their excellent customer service!
One star for store manager.

I called the auto center this morning and was able to get an appointment immediately. Courtney and Jen made sure I got a great deal on 4 brand new tires. And I was in and out in about an hour which gave me time to do some shopping. I couldn’t be more happy. Thank you!
Came by two different days at 4pm and 5:30pm for an oil change and both times was told they could not help me, despite advertised hours being 7am-7pm. The first time I called ahead to confirm services provided and hours of operation and when I arrived they were closed. The second time I tried to get an oil change I was told they could not help me because they were working on one car and had another customer already in line. When I asked what times they would be open the following day I was told 7am-7pm...
Don't waste the time or gas, go somewhere else.
The store botched up the tire installation, and my tires kept leaking slowly. Went to them twice and they denied anything being wrong at all. Afterward, I went to a different store and they found the issue within minutes, which was due to improper tire installation. It was a simple issue, and to fix it, all they had to do was clean the rim and reinstall the tire.
They put all manner of flags and cones up where ALL the parking places used to be outside of the auto center. Three employees were standing in the doorway, not looking very busy watching me. When I pulled up no one would say where I could park. I would really avoid avoid avoid this location.
Called them several times. Phone rang off the hook. 3rd time i called someone finally akswered the phone. After she asked what i needed. I started telling them employe. I was then told i needed to call back in 15 min. Because she had to help Someone standing at her counter. When i called back i was placed on hold for 15 min before hanging up. I will not call or go there for tires again!
I’m giving one star to this specific store because I arrived at 2:30 PM on a weekday and literally waited for five or 10 minutes at the service counter while employees walked by me without even acknowledging me. When a manager finally walked by and greeted me I was told they weren’t doing any more oil changes for the day because they had two other cars in the bay. What? It was only 2:30 PM! You can’t add me to two other cars being serviced? Now that was forgivable because who knows, maybe they only have one technician and the two cars they had were big jobs or something. But I was directed to the website where supposedly I could set an appointment for tomorrow and it doesn’t seem to exist. If it does it’s very hard to navigate or offline. This is the reason for my poor rating.
When I first realized the value of getting my car serviced at Walmart I was stoked! I don’t know what happened recently, but Walmart auto service centers have really gone downhill. I literally stopped at three different Walmarts looking to get my oil changed during a road trip and none of them could service me without at least a three hour wait. Maybe they need to hire more people or something, I do realize there’s been a shortage of workers lately.
Came up there at 3:30pm and the people working there didn't want to change my tires although they didn't have any cars they was working on in their garage. their was 2 people working in the auto center,but yet they claimed that they didn't have enough people there to replace my tires. How does people this lazy get to keep their jobs
Any time I need service on a tire OR I need to buy a new tire...I come here for the most part! This visit I had a tire that was losing air fast & often.
I had bought the tire @ Walmart in 2018. I figured it'd need some kind of new seal...turned out that the tire was in really bad shape. There was a bulge in it due to some radial tire wire (let's be honest... that part, the wording, I know nothing about...), so the tire needed to be replaced. Because I bought the tire @ Walmart, it had a warranty, so a new tire was prorated. So this was a $102 for $30. Super happy! Great guys!
We were hit with an early snow storm in November in Michigan, and I had to replace my summer only tires in a hurry. The only place where I could replace the tires quickly was Walmart. I already had my tires from last winter. It took a few hours because the Walmart shop was lacking employees, but they swapped the tires eventually. Drove on the highway and the car was vibrating pretty bad. Finally took the car to my regular mechanic shop and they find that the tires were not balanced properly. Apparently the Walmart technician, has not removed the previous weights and added new ones to balance the tire. Most likely the Walmart mechanic was missing basic training. I will try yo get back and talk with the manager. He applied the same procedure not to one but all 4 tires.
Went to get a new tire because mine had a hole in it. After charging me $85 and an hour and a half later I drove home. Next morning I woke up and my tire was flat again! When I went back to have them look at it they refused to help me! Way to sell someone a lemon for $85+. Bad customer service and decision on my part! Will never go to Walmart again for a tire. Discount Tire has always treated me best and better prices. I will stick with them for now on!
Staff are blatantly racist and rude upon every visit. After standing in line for 10 minutes and finally making it to the front, I was asked if I was really next or was it the (white) lady that came after me. After she nicely agreed that I was next, I still wasn’t helped because my 10-15minute oil change would put the servicemen beyond their desired clock out time. Keep in mind it’s 2:30, they close at 6pm. They have bad customer service in general, but especially if you’re a person of color. I usually go there because of the convenience of the location but I’m never going back.
Had headlight restore done and they were very sloppy with their polisher. They ground the paint off the bumper below the headlight and even on the quarter panel all the way down to bare metal.
I can't believe they even gave me my keys back and pretended like it was done!
When I asked about it, they said go get a quote from a body shop.
Their insurance company payed a very expensive bodywork bill.
Lots of hastle but in the end it was taken care of.
