I called ahead to make an appointment after learning from a dealership that my car needed a fairly large repair. Firestone took care of the repair efficiently, kindly, and for a much more reasonable price than anywhere else had quoted me! My car is working incredibly well now, and I will definitely come back to Firestone for future repairs if ever they are necessary.

Dakota was SO helpful!! The air valve cap on one of my tires got stuck and he fixed everything for me so quickly and was very kind about it. Don’t buy cute after market caps, people.

Parents of college kids stay away from this place in east lansing! This was an auto shop that couldn’t get the car out of the bay it was in??? Stay away!!! Because of this I lost out on a tow from AAA and when I asked to have them pay for it, I was denied! My kiddo had to uber all back home and My spouse had to send you tube videos to the managers! Also beware even if you pay by credit card , they will not simply place your refund back on the card, you have to wait three weeks for a check! And forget the customer service line, they say someone from district will call you within two days - it’s been over a week! Their loss - I was going to purchase 2 sets of tires for the winter worth over $2000k. It’s a very very shady company so needed to spread information people may not know about. If I could give no stars I would have!

What a great experience!!! I cannot say enough about Brandon and Dakota! I was traveling out of town in the E. Lansing area when my car reported cooling issues. I arrived at the Firestone location with almost no coolant in my car. The test they ran suggested it was a thermostat but before they installed and charged me for an entire thermostat unit, they filled the car with coolant and ran additional tests. They were unable to confirm that was indeed the source of the problem and were reluctant to do the work and charge me unnecessarily. They were very conscientious that I had an hour drive back home and it the thermostat was not the problem, they did not want me stranded on my return home. We agreed to fill the reservoir with coolant and take the car closer to home. I arrived home safely, and they even called me to make sure I made it home. These men were honest and trustworthy. They went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations!! Firestone should be very proud of this location and the men working there. They are outstanding humans!!

I personally would recommend to avoid this location if you can. I’ve been going here for years and it’s been getting increasingly worst. Today was the last straw. I was patiently waiting for my oil change in the lobby when i look down and saw a literal colony of ants at my feet. Just disgusting! Not to mention the staff was rude but I can let that go because everyone’s human.

i had an exceptional experience with the service and crew at this firestone location. to provide a bit of information, i had booked an appointment for a diagnostic test because i couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my break pedal, as it felt a bit loose and i was consistently having to pump it to get it where it needed to be. when making my appointment, i spoke to Garen on the phone ( he was very kind and personable) and he got me booked for the day or two after, which i appreciated. when the day came time for my actual diagnostic and the quick service was done, both Garen and Brandon both separately broke down the logistics of my diagnostic test and explained to me what needed to be fixed as well as why it needed to be fixed. i genuinely appreciated it, because it’s one thing to read words on a paper, but it’s another to have someone explain to you what exactly is going on with your vehicle in human terms lmao. when it came time to get the work done (i went in for rear break drum replacement) i was pleasantly surprised to see that the master cylinder was replaced instead! (this was a necessary job!) and not only was it replaced, but these guys were generous enough to give me the fix for a discounted rate! so so grateful, because i’m literally a broke college student so thank you garen for the amazing work! overall, it was stellar service. they were very kind throughout entire process, and it took less than 5 days overall. my car is riding so much better and my breaks are phenomenal. i really appreciate how personable everyone was, especially brandon. i really appreciate it because most mechanics/car shops are a bit condescending, especially to people (like me) who know little to nothing about cars. i hope i don’t need to be back but if i do, ill be back to this location!

I am from out of state. You always have fear that you'll be taken advantage of. Not here at this Firestone. My dad turned me to Firestone decades ago and I have always been treated like a king. Or you could say the opposite, that I was a popper and in desperate need of help out on the road all alone having been beat up an bloodied by people and life. These folks have treated me like Christ would have! Thank you so much !

Blew a brake line and got trapped in Lansing. Firestone got us in in a timely manner. They were kind and understanding of our predicament and got us the best deal they could. 10/10 would highly recommend.

I have been taking my car to Firestone for almost 30 years. There are two reason for my being a loyal customer: excellent service, and trust. Dakota, at the Firestone located on Grand River Ave. in East Lansing, has always been so welcoming and so friendly, and the rest of the staff has done the same. And the work that is done on my car has been excellent—consistently—and that is why I trust Firestone. I know every job is done well, and I will be on the road in a safe and well maintained car. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

I have a very bad experience. I called them to make an appointment to inspect my car for UBER. The guy to tell, okay, you can come on Monday, it takes around twenty minutes. When I went to the shop, my name wasn't on the list. They asked me to come back after two hours, and we will call you. After 10 minutes, they called me and asked again why your car is here?! I said for UBER inspection, the man said ¨"I am sorry you need a form from Uber," and went back and took my car. The waste is all day!

The people here are always polite and helpful. If i ask a question they don't brush you off like some would do. I appreciate there swift working even if there backed up on work orders or short staffed. I've been coming here for a while now and will keep coming back.

Customer service and communication was very good. Things didn't go perfectly but they did their best to get my vehicle serviced and back to me. There was a delay in getting the correct parts. Once they did all seemed to be fine. Thank you

Garen did a great job on my 2020 Colorado. I had the cooling system and transmission flushed and reset. Appointment was easy to make and customer service was great. Very competitive pricing, too. I will DEFINITELY be going back. They also emailed me a regular maintenance estimate that helps me plan my upkeep on my truck.

Went to get a pre-purchase inspection done on a car I was buying and was told it needed all new brakes and rotors around the car. I bought the car, bought the brakes and rotors and went to fix them. When I took the tires off it all looked brand new, I could still see the antiseize from when they last did the job. The brakes were as thick as the new ones. Never going back

I had a great experience at Firestone getting the oil changed in my work van. The staff was friendly, professional, and got the job done quickly. They took great care of my vehicle and made the whole process easy and stress-free. I appreciate their efficiency and great customer service—definitely coming back for future maintenance. ***they wanted to pay me to not write this*** Had a radiator replaced, and the job never quite got done. First thing I caught, after they said it was done, was ducting that was removed for the install sitting loose under my hood. With the fasteners spread around along the edges of the hood. I took it back (whilst getting some other work done) they gave me a discount on an alignment to make up for it and I thought it was all good. A few days later I hear rattling under the hood. It was my radiator cooling fan hanging by the electrical cables loose and rubbing against other components. There were no fasteners attaching it to the radiator and I could move the radiator back and forth with one finger. Took it back and when they said it was fixed I took a look under the hood before I left the parking lot that time. They did install the top two fasteners but the bottom of the fan housing was hanging loose with no mechanical connection. I was then informed that they just didn’t install them because the radiator was aftermarket and different from the original. So because it was the wrong part they just left it half installed. They never contacted me about any fitment issue. The mechanic rushed to fix it in the parking lot, looking for a screw that would work. When he was done I was told he “made it work”, on one side but there wasn’t anything to attach to on the other. So 1/4 of my fan housing will now be hanging loose. After all this I talked to the manager and worked out a deal for a partial refund. I would have to sign something that said they weren’t liable and I would get some money back. When I got there to sign, it was basically a gag order. I wouldn’t be allowed to “publish” anything about this interaction if I took the money. I asked for a copy so my lawyer could review the document and was told that I could not have a copy of it until I signed it even tho it says in the document that I could have a lawyer review it. They did send a copy to my lawyer eventually, once they realized I had one. So they were willing to pay to not have this story told. And they were scared for me to have a copy of their gag document. Anyway I hope they didn’t forget to attach anything else… All in all, would not recommend.
