I've used Kamins many, many times in my life and they've never done me wrong. This is truly one of the Original Auto parts stores from long ago. Before any of the big chain stores were even thought of. I've always known that they hire the best people that have great knowledge of automobiles of all kinds.
It feels like family when you're there.
They have what you need to get you on your way. 5 Stars for sure for 40+ years of service to the community.
Friendly and knowledgeable. Way better than going to any of these box part stores. These people know what you're talking about even if you don't know what the part is. I always go to Sid he always helps me out.
I got the urge to change out a sensor and I only wanted to use genuine gm. Amazon had bad reviews for the part but was the cheapest, none of the big stores actually carried the item and were twice the cost. Autozone had 2 in the state it seemed and I didn’t want to wait. I was shocked this place had one in stock, and they set it aside for me. The cost was pretty much somewhere in between of Amazon and bigger chains. Happy to be able to get my project done.
One can always expect expert help and fair prices at Kamins. These guys been around a few cars. Everyone is kind, knowledgeable and they don't treat me like a girl.
Best prices in town for auto parts, puts the big names to shame. Staff are super friendly and very customer service oriented. Did not try to pressure me in other stuff I did not need to buy, which is nice plus being a female shopper! My fan belt works fantastic!
I called about a heater core for my Jeep, the guy gave the price, I forgot to ask about warranty, I called back to ask about what kind of warranty the heater core had on it, the same guy said he didn't know he thought a year, I guess he didn't want to look it up a sgain, so I said you don't know then, he began to get really rude at this point, I asked if he remembered the price hegave me ,really got rude,
,thanked him and hung up, I ll never go there for parts, strongly recommend anyone else NOT go there either
I talk to one of the associates two days about a part and the price. The second day ask them to hold it for me and what was the total price including tax. He told me $32.04. When I went to pick up the part, he told me that would be $51.97. I said I talked to him about the price twice he said he didn't remember that and he didn't have for the price he quoted me. He said that this was the cheapest one they carried and he was somewhat rude about it. I will never go back there again.
I don't get downtown often, but recently went to Kamins Parts Plus to get a Motorcraft plug wire set. The service was great, they had the part in stock, I didn't need a coupon code, or to wait for UPS to deliver it. I picked it up and had it installed the same day. There is a lot to be said for a good stocking local dealer, and in Lansing, Kamins is it.
Bought several parts here, service is great, parts come in quick if needed to be ordered and pricing is v competitive w online prices. Thanks for being there.
I went in for a couple parts, ended up purchasing front and rear wiper blades. I ask the salesman if he could possibly put the blades on for me. With no hesitation he said yes. He replaced the windshield blades with no problem. The hatch blade on the other hand was an issue. Needless to say, he broke it. This happened on a Friday night about 5:50 p.m. now the part that is needed they dnt have so it needed to come from a salvage yard. I DID NOT GET MY WIPER FIXED TILL THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY. I DID NOT HEAR FROM NO ONE ABOUT THE INCIDENT NOR DID THEY HELP ME FIND WHAT I NEEDED. I STAY ON THE EAST SIDE OF LANSING AND THE PLACE THAT HAD MY PART IS IN MASON. I DROVE THERE, SPENT THREE HOURS RETRIEVING SAID PART AND REMOVED IT FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE. WHEN I RETURNED WITH MY RECEIPT THE ONLY COMPENSATION I RECEIVED WAS THE AMOUNT FOR THE PART. NOTHING FOR THE TIME SPENT CALLING AROUND FOR THE PART, THE TIME SPENT DRIVING THE 20 MILES TO GET THE PART OR THE THREE HOURS IT TOOK TO FIND THE PART. NEVER MIND THE FACT WHEN I WALKED INTO KAMINS, I WASN'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED OR REMEMBERED. I HAVE NEVER BEEN MADE TO FEEL BAD ABOUT SOMETHING SOMEONE ELSE DID! I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED!

IT IS FRUSTRATING WHEN DRIVERS FROM THE 6 OR MORE STORES WE ORDER FROM COME IN AND JUST SET PARTS DOWN NEVER ANNOUNCE THEY OR THE PARTS WERE DELIEVERED, NOT THERESA SHE HAS LITERALLY ALWAYS BEEN RIGHT ON THE BALL! IF EVERY PARTS DRIVER IN AMERICA COULD TAKE A LESSON OUT OF THERESAS BOOK OUR JOB AS A MECHANIC SHOP WOULD GO A LOT SMOOTHER.
