Very prompt response time. knowledgeable owner and provided tips for post wreck cleanup. Personable and was awesome to work with. Provided above and beyond care for my truck while I worked with insurance to decide what autobody shop it would go to. Allowed me access to their facility while I collected my personal belongings and wrapped my truck before taking it to the autobody shop during rainy weather.
Life happens. Tie rod end separated at a local gas station during the morning rush. Response time was very fast and they gave me a great rate for the tow service. The driver “Tennessee” was great! Very good at his job, professional, and very helpful with EVERYTHING!! Thanks American Towing! got my old car towed by by this company today, the guy who did it was amazing 10 out of 10 super funny super friendly just a fun guy to be around. The company has very good prices. Everywhere else they wanted to charge me over $100 for 2 mile toll while this company only charged me 75 if I ever need them again, I know I’ll call them 10 out of 10 Would recommend
I ran out of gas on 69 near 127. Dispatch was efficient, they beat their ETA, pricing was fair and half the price of other quotes. The driver was pure customer service and even followed me to the next gas station. Awesome job American towing!
They went out of their way to coordinate pick up of belongings from a horrible crash my son was in. They were compassionate and kind. 4 kids passed in the accident and the car was uninsured so they took a major loss but remained courteous and helped us. Thank you American Towing!

Great, fast service, even on a busy night during a horrible snow storm! My 18 year old was driving home from college for winter break and ended up in the ditch off the highway. They were friendly, fast, and let me pay by phone for him. They did NOT inflate their price, which they could have given the circumstances. They even helped him merge back onto the highway traffic and be on his way. 10 stars!!!
On 2/6/20 I was driving on the highway in a snow storm and hit a big piece of steel,which blew out and shredded my rear tire. I called American Towing,and they were out within 20 minutes! John the driver put my spare on,and I was back on the road in almost no time. I would recommend them to anyone...fastest,and nicest company around. 5 stars!
Was quoted 60 to 90 minutes. 4 hours later they finally arrived to pick the car up. I understand things happen but I definitely felt like they could have been more transparent about the time it would take instead of telling me its gonna be a half hour 3 different times when I called to check the status of the tow truck every hour.
Over charged me and no longer a good company to myself and friends...No insurance is why I got towed 1 block away..650 for 4 days. Northside towing is the Best!! They towed me home from American suicide I mean towing. Half price.. No caring bones in their body.. Money! That's all they care about..

Charged $265 for towing my car for 14 miles then tried to give me kittens in the lobby. Completely unprofessional company and gouges prices. No 14 mile towing should ever cost $265. You will get a better quote any place further in Lansing.
Recently I had a breakdown while traveling to work on 96 just outside of Lansing and American Towing was there very quickly!

They charged me for 2 days worth of storage, when my car was stored for 17 hours. Immoral business practice. They are not a 24 hour business like they advertise. Unscrupulous.

They are very nice and helpful. Try to do what they can to help if the police let them. Laws hold them back on a lot of what they can and can't do. But they try thier best to help and are very respectful!
I had been waiting hours for another towing service to come out that said they could be out in an hour, and then whenever they didn't show up, wouldn't answer the phone so I called American Towing and they were out right away!
Regular tow is $50.00 get in an accident and multiply that by 4.
I don't know why it's okay to take advantage at people when they are already at their worst. Cost me $300.00 to sell my car for scrap at $150.00. And just because it's normal doesn't make it right or ethical.
