Stopped in here randomly while trail riding- was a great unexpected surprise. The volunteers there were extremely nice and knowledgeable. Highly recommend stopping by to learn about the mining history!

A very detailed explanation of how the mine hoisted rocks out of the ground and crushed them into small pieces sorting copper from poor rocks. The tour guide made you feel like you were watching the hoist run in the 60’s

What an amazing hidden gem! The Champion Mine Ruins is a beautiful place to visit. There are tours offered on certain days here. No one was around for tours when we arrived, so we did a self guided tour around the area, and made a donation in the donation area. There are so many abandoned mines in this area, and I had no idea this one was even here. There is so much history here! And the photos you can get are just stunning! Stepping back in time and wondering what it must have been like when this place was fully operational! It's a must visit!
