0 STARS! I purchased a tailgate from this business, which was described to me as an "A1 part". The order arrived the following day, however. the part had noticeable damage. I immediately contacted the same guy, the representative placed the order with, to explain that I was told the part would be very clean and free of damage. Unfortunately, the response I received was unprofessional, disrespectful, and not in line with the level of customer service I expected. 0 STARS
These people are scammers i bought an engine from them for $3000 . They told me it has under 60k miles and it comes with 45 days warranty I installed the engine, it was knocking i called them they said it's not their engine .
0 STARS! DONT SHOP HERE. buy a transmission was told 90 day warranty at the counter get it put in in on day 70 after an injury and the transmission is smoked. Called and they don't care that they robbed me off 925$ at all saying now the warranty is 45 days. Absolutely bs scammers
Initially I was just going their too scrap some copper 20 pounds or so ride my pedal bike up and I did see a sign said no walk ins I asked one of the employees if it was okay for me to ride it in technically I'm not walking that way I get up to the office building and I started to tell the other gentleman I called up earlier and was told bring it in and they will check it out for me .e rudely interrupted me yelling saying hade to have a vehicle and leave ... Buddy on technicality a person on a bike is a cyclist and has to share and also follow certain laws on the road when riding I was not a walk in ... You shouldn't turn any business away from your company I also worked at the Auto salvage yard on dort hwy last year I can do your job just as well if not better than you .
Bought a car from this company that they were putting back together for my son and they wanted to make sure that everything was fixed on it B4 I got car, because they knew he was taking it away to college out of state and didn’t want him to have any issues while away at school. We agreed on a price and prior to car transfer, they found a couple fixes that they fixed on their dime and still honored the price agreed upon prior. Would recommend Sandi and Dale to anyone to do business with. Top notch!!
These guys were the only place in either Genesee or Tuscola county that had the rim I needed. I got there, they pulled the part, gave me advice on how to clean the grime off, and even loaded it into my car for me! I was in and out in under 20 mins!

Their people at their scrap yard are horrible....almost as bad here.
They're know it alls.
Told me twice I didn't know which "exact" radiator I had/needed.
So I took the damn thing in with my mechanic to prove them wrong.
Then they gave me the wrong wheel bearing three times in a row ...with incorrect knowledge again
Had to take the part and mechanic in again...

I can't remember the man's name, but he was incredibly patient while I was trying to get the right donut picked out. Prices for parts are pretty good here.
There always, ALWAYS seems to be an issue with RICK, their cashier. Recently we have an opportunity to scrap a couple mobile homes. We were astonished when we happened to go to Don's after a couple trips to Flint Auto City Recycling, weight could have been one factor but we received almost 2xs the cash from Don's. Today was the last straw. Rick was out of the office out in the yard and he turned us away. They close at 2 on Saturdays gates close at 1:30. We were there at 1:15 he told us he didn't have enough money to pay us because"the banks close at noon. They close every Saturday at noon. It would have been possibly close to $100. I will never go back and have to put up with his sour attitude and the minimal pay you receive. Good bye Skinny City Auto Recyclers
Owner is very rude and complains if you make to many trips... I thought they would be happy with more I guess not?!? Second time there very arrogant and disrespectful
Told me they had the part then after I sat up here waiting thirty minutes for them to find it was told they don’t have it. So idk how u can double check before u get there so good luck
Always great service from Tom. I was in a rush a while back and sent a driver 71 miles to a competitors yard. My guy returned with a beat to death pile of junk that we could not use . I had to wait for this yard to remove one and drive back down. Part was perfect and waiting. I will never call the other guy again ( as 2 workers ignore me while smoking next to their " no smoking" sign ) . Don't waste your time, just call these guys and not the tachometer store! See, I was nicer than the way they treated me.
They over priced you can buy parts brand new cheaper they charged me $159 for a mirror for a 2018 Malibu then I look online they brand new $85 and they say no cash back refund and I never used the part not to mention he had a attitude
The employees were friendly and helpful. They even tried to pull the part we needed while we waited but the car wasn't in the garage. When we went back to pick it up they even loaded it up for me. (it was a gas tank so I was really thankful)
Very polite and helpful staff. I came in looking for a rear seat for my 2010 Silverado 2500 that came to me with a drawer system in place of the rear seat. They had several according to a quick inventory search. A worker printed a list out and had another take me out to show me them. The first one was in a truck that they had already brought up to pull something else from and was in very nice shape so I decided to get that one as it was good without even checking out the others. Then they pulled the seat after I paid and had it ready for me to pull around back and pick up very quickly. I think the whole process took less than fifteen mimutes. My experience here was excellent and I will be highly recommending them to anybody I know looking for good used vehicle parts at fair prices with great service.
These guys are great! Anywhere else I would've paid double and had to wait for a week. They had my part pulled in 3 hours!! Very friendly and helpful staff!
A hidden gem in Flint. The staff are very knowledgeable and eager to help. I was surprised to see them be so patient and never act condescendingly. I felt comfortable with their input, suggestions and advice and appreciated the assistance when it came time to install.
This place is a joke, went to order a door you have to pay for it first fair enough right? Wrong! The man on the phone told me I'd have to drive there to pay for it I asked if I could pay over the phone and no can do. to drive to my shop to drive back the next day taking 200 miles and essentially wasting a day. They do not know how to run a business and I only hope this place is shut down soon so someone else can buy it and make a legitimate business.
Presentable clean, tidy and organized office, organized neat and clean yard. Polite sociable employees. A hidden gem in Flint.
Office wasn't certain if the part i was after was in the yard or not but took the time to take me out to look, confirm and verify condition of the part with me before pulling.
The part i was after was pulled within 10 minutes and i was out the door on my way.
If we could give it a negitive 5 star we would. The owner is a complete and utter dick. This place is worthless. The workers are a**holes and he has no respect for his customers. My hubby wanted to beat him bloody. But he wont come out from behind his glass. All he knows how to do is run his mouth. Power hungry S.O.B.
The owner of this business is the most obnoxious and rude person I have ever met in my life. I just wanted to buy a 17 inch rim and I clearly said 17 twice and he gives me a 15 inch rim and decided to argue with me saying I said 15..then to top it off he has sighn clearly posted saying he accepts visa and bitched because I was using it....never go there
