It was my 1st time here. I brought in clean copper, dirty copper, and dirty brass. I was givin a very good price and they treated me very friendly and helpful. They get a 5 star review and I will be returning for sure! Thank you guys
Best scrap yard in the county. Great people. Anyone that comes here and has a bad experience doesn't know what they are doing and did not ask first, are disrespectful or have set their expectations to high. Not to mention the yard is all concrete and they make an effort to sweep the whole thing often. Probably the best scrap yard I've ever been to, honestly. Ask questions, understand the answers and you'll have a good experience.
Peice of paper in the window in an obscure spot is the only thing that tell you that you need a michigan ID to scrap here. Walked in to talk to the guy before unloading and nobody said anything until after we unloaded and went to get paid. 3k lbs of steel and got nothing in return
To the people complaining "they're rude" or "they yelled at us", it's not their job to help you unload your scrap and when I'm waiting in line with people behind me while you take your sweet time, you have to understand why they would get angry. You're making their job more difficult and wasting mine and other customers time. There is an etiquette at scrap yards. If you have more than 1 person with you, have 1 person taking care of nonferrous metals, while the other takes care of ferrous. Don't dilly dally, it's rude to the rest of us! And grow some thicker skin! They've yelled at me before too ...but only when I first started scrapping and didn't know what I was doing.
Scrap is down,it shouldn't never be down. Helping clear up this state is a full time job. So now your only half of what your worth. And you put in all the work.
While the money was good, they were rude and disrespectful. They watched my boyfriend struggle to pick up two transmissions by himself, didn't even ask him if he needed help, just stood around. As he was picking up the third one, which was bigger than the first two, someone came out and sat there and watched him struggle with it for a few minutes, he eventually got help with the last one, but they could've helped him from the very beginning instead of sitting/standing around. He walked away with scratches and bruises all over his arms from struggling by himself. Also they didn't know how to give clear instructions, and got irritated when we misunderstood what they were wanting us to do. They would tell us one thing then say we were supposed to do something else instead. Unprofessional and will avoid going there again.
This place claims to take running vehicles for scrap, the don't, even if they say they do on the phon. Saturday hours say open until 12. Last week showed up to scrap a car at 11:20 and the staff was leaving. This Saturday called ahead of time and they said they are open until 11am. Showed up at 10am and that is when they decided that they cannot take a car that still has a gas tank attached. Not sure how you can get a vehicle to run without a gas tank but I guess that is the only way they will take a "running" vehicle. Terrible customer service over the phone and in person. Take 5 more minutes and go down the road to Complete Scrap. They were super nice and helpful.
Their scales are right on their family nice people I take copper aluminum over there and Brass they got good prices there I asked questions will tell me what this cost this and that and they're very fair and honest people
I wish I could give zero stars since zero is what I got for my metal. I took a catalytic converter from my 2004 Suburban there on June 9th. There was no clear process so I just went along with the others that were turning in large loads of metal. Once I was finally able to get assistance a guy took me in and checked out the converter and said I'd get $40 but they don't pay directly you get a check in the mail. He took my license and put info in the computer. Now, I should have gotten a receipt but didn't ask for one so that's on me. I'm not a scrapper so I don't do this all the time and didn't think about it.... I called today because I hadn't received payment and lo and behold they have no record of me in the system... I'm fairly sure the guy just took my metal and never recorded it properly or maybe even gave my converter to someone else to turn in....
Lesson learned here. If you're going to deal with them make sure you get a receipt but if It was me I'd just keep on going down the road. I know I won't be back.....
Me and my husband came here to recycle 2 shelfs and a deep freezer, when it was time to cash out they told us to go pick the deep freezer up, would not tell us why. When we called and talked to someone they said it was because THEY THOUGHT it was full of food. A bag of hashbrowns and a bottle of grape jelly, WOW!!!! Yep it was full of food with those 2 items. Attitude is nasty, the entire place is rude is disrespectful.
