Worst customer service ever received at Copart facility. Very bad attitude, unprofessional, when speaking to one lady others were all contradicting what their costumer service representative said. Got there 4:15 pm on Friday and they decided that it was too late to bring a lot outside.

My vehicle was totaled and Allstate assigned them the task of clearing the paperwork. The email communication and reminders were disjointed and their instructions were not good. They asked for a title release without saying it had to be signed anywhere in their directions. Dealing with them was frustrating and time consuming. Not very happy with Allstate Insurance using them.
If I could rate a negative number I would! My daughter’s car was taken here after an accident, was considered totaled but we chose to keep the vehicle upon arriving back to me we noticed many things missing. I did call to see if anyone had taken anything out of the vehicle in which they mailed the items to me for them to arrive and have no where near the amount of items missing! From car vent clips, air fresheners, lotions, paperwork cleaning products and even going through her “personal product” purse and taking the items but returning the purse! When calling they stated it was their policy to clean the cars out and got zero assistance.
There's 10 people setting and not doing nothing here and only 1 person helping 6 people in the line so unprofessional and + they are rude it takes me 1 hour and 20 minutes to take my car keys
My car was brought here by statefarm on the 27th of January. On the 30th my car was declared totaled and I got there within an hour of that being decided. Upon arrival I was informed my things were moved to my trunk due to their procedures but that my glove box should have been untouched. Upon seeing my car I immediately noticed my glovebox was open and empty. I found a bag in the trunk with my things and closed it realizing my license plate had already been removed which was also strange. After getting my plate back I began looking through the bag and realized half of my things were missing. When I attempted to find out where my things were the woman at the desk became hostile and blamed the tow company. The tow company did not touch my things and even offered security footage of where my car had been at prior to getting taken to copart. We only got cooperation whe. The statefarm agent called and the woman he spoke to said my things were likely thrown out. No offer to find my things, no replacement just thrown away. When I filed a police report I was informed this is not a one off incident with this location. Stop touching people's things if you can't be responsible with them. I had an item from a deceased relative that I cannot replace and now will never see again. Thanks copart.
Requires escort to look at cars. Can only tow vehicles out, so no use of in repair transportation plates. Can't do any legal stuff for the vehicle right away because they take forever to process paper work through secretary of state.
Definitely stick to Wayland, Detroit or Lansing if you plan to buy from copart.
Received an e-mail from them asking for my claim number. Entered the number and was told it was invalid. Checked with AAA and was told it was the correct number. Called Copart and they didn't take my claim, but tried to talk me through it doing it online, but the program still claimed it was an invalid number. The person I was talking to gave up, and said that if they didn't receive an online response they would send a paper check, it has been over a month and still haven't received the check or made any attempt to contact me.
Bad customer service the “females that work there will give you an attitude for any questions…. I went there at 1:30 pm to pay for a vehicle and for some reason I couldn’t use my debit card so I drove 40 mins one way to my bank to get a check which copart wouldn't accept my check and I got my debit card working around 4:35 and the female working gave me a big attitude about how it was about to close im from Detroit it was a 2 hour drive to even get there and they are telling me I have to wait 3 weeks for me car to be delivered to Detroit
It was my favorite auction but now they made it very difficult to preview a car . They said they can bring the car to see it which is nice of them but I was waiting for almost 40 minutes and they didn't show up . I was standing on my feet they didn't even leave a chair for people to sit and wait . I am really not happy with their service .
The most incompetent employees can never solve a problem, even if you are 5 minutes late. It’s like they work in a Swiss bank, it’s just a landfill with a lot of metal
The bidding and buying and different ways you can pay compared to IAA is great. However, the loading at this auction is very slow. Usually at IAA I can be in and out in 20-25 mins tops. Here today there’s only 3 of us in the loading area, I checked in 45 mins ago and still haven’t been loaded. What gives Copart?
Won a bid on a car with clean title and normal wear (no key) with 150k mileage how did they figured out the mileage without a key? The mileage on the engine is different than what experian autocheck says 180k. What I get is a car with engine problems; oil on spark plugs and with crancking sound. I believe the changed the engine. You need to have all eyes open when buying from this place!
The flint office tries very hard and are very good. sadly however the corporate entity behind the company leaves very much to be desired. They make any dealings an absolute headache. Even after going to the local yard where they helped me and were very nice then I would get an email from corporate with some sort of document change that even the yard was not aware of forcing me to jump through even more hoops. It has taken me over two weeks for simple document verification because they continue to want something done differently than previously stated often times contradicting previous emails and demands. Flint yard 10/10 . Corporate Copart .5/10
Slow, update on the rest. I asked for three things out of my van. I didnt ask for the chicken nucket trash and the happy meal toys. Thats a funny one. Also let your guy know he thinks he can just take someones sunglasses and get away with it. My wife got her glasses and they decided to keep mine, oakleys sunglasses. Im happy that they gave the key back. Not surprised i didnt get my oakleys back. Thats cool though no hard feelings right. Hope they enjoy them.. let them Know they were a gift from my wife. I know they found them. They made sure to give all the socks from the kids and the few shoes. Tell them try having seven girls. Thanks for your service again
They work very slow. It has been a week since I have got into a wreck. No form of contact from them to let me know what’s going on.
It’s sad to think im a full time college student, with a full time job, AND a part time job who is busy 7 days of the week and haven’t heard anything. I have been without a car, they picked up my car 3 days ago now and haven’t decided whether or not it’s totaled.
SCAM!! You get a ridiculous 7 days to decide whether the membership $200-$400 is worth it or not, by the time you realize what a waste of money it is between paying for it and the first vehicle of interest (which was posted with false and misleading info) it's too late, you've thrown away your hard-earned money. STAW AWAY!!
Today on the 27th of January 2022 they loaded a truck as pictured for my driver to haul 3 states away. Got ugly with my driver after he asked them to please load the truck with the engine to the front, did not reload costing us $200 more to have a local tow company to come remove the truck from trailer and reload it correctly! Absolutely uncalled for and unprofessional. I will spend no more money with this location.
Take this advice if your traveling from a distance with a trailer! They don’t care!!!
Excellent service from the front desk, to the fork lift operator. I arrived early in the morning to pick up a vehicle and received service promptly. Will definitely be back to pick up more vehicles. I give them an A+!

The folks that are on the Flint co-part office are great people and do a nice job. As a matter of fact most of the offices that I've been in are full of accommodating people. I cannot say that about the Detroit copart location, they treat their customers as an inconvenience.

The service of this location is very disrespectful, forklift drivers works very bad, they don't load the vehicles as you ask, do not fulfill the slightest request. Manager unfriendly.
Excellent place to do business. I actually live 15 minutes from the woodhaven Copart and I’d rather drive the 1 hour 30 mins to this location just due to how much better everything is ran here. The staff here and manager here’s is extremely polite, helpful and their customer service is A+. It’s actually faster to drive the 3 hours here and back and spend up to 1 hour maximum waiting then spend 5-6 hours at woodhaven waiting alone outside then get told at 5pm they aren’t loading anymore cars for the day due to being short handed or too busy. It’s just night and day differences I can’t believe they are both the same auction “Copart” but this 1 in flint is ran 1000x better and nicer than the one that’s is unfortunately right down the street from us.

Not sure what the problem is with this location, have purchased a total of about 5 items from this location the first 4 great over all experience, even got in touch with this location when i was having issues at a different location and they put me in contact with people who could help, but my lastest experience with this location has not been so nice, I have no title for my recent purchase and keep getting the run around and the we will call you back answers, went in and looked at a couple new items and when i went to get keys they were the wrong keys, and nobody knew where the right keys were, which in turn worries me about how many other items have the wrong keys they are shipping out, and if i was to buy anything else if the right keys would even be with it, or if Id ever get a title.
Overall not at all happy with my lastest purchase and not having a title for it, which seems to be a company wide thing as ive had this issue before with different locations.
Flint, Michigan office staff are very helpful and personable. I would love to see LESS "minimum bid"/ "seller's reserve"/ "on approval" sale status and MORE "pure sale" cars. Last time I checked it was an Auction, not a sales lot. Took me 4 weeks to win a 14 year old, Salvaged title, Chrysler mini van due to the "seller reserve" status. ( I know it's the Insurance Company's policy and not Copart's directly..still annoying)..... No real complaint's tho on behalf of Copart. Otherwise the process is seamless.. Been a buyer for years.
My insurance company had my car towed to copart after i hit a deer. I was told it was ok to keep my plate on the car. When I came to pick up the car i was given back a mangled plate that was tore off the car. They then picked up my car with a forklift very violently! When the car was 2ft inside the gate and could have easily been driven out! Then proceeded to drop the car very hard when set down! I will be talking with management to get trunk repaired! Also making a formal complaint with insurance company!
Like comming to this copart location. Not very busy and the staff is very friendly. You have plenty of room to load your trailer and its not all crowded like other places.
