My car would not start today. I figured it was my battery because my car is a 2016 malibu with original battery. They replaced my battery in 2 hours. I want them to know that I appreciate this service. Their staff were great.
Recently found out they destroyed and never replaced my tire pressure m9nitor inside my tire and cross threaded all my wheel studs so can't get tire off my car....never will I use this place again. They hid it from me...not impressed at all

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Been doing business with Art for 20 years. I won’t go anywhere else. The main thing I like is that it’s always fixed right and that’s what counts. Honest and dependable. Down to earth people who love cars.
Went to have a tire fixed was leaking air. Said it would take 2 hours.... 3.5 hours later I get a call to pick my tire up. Next morning tire is still flat ...charged me 25$ to put air in my tire! did nothing. Then when I take it back up there to confront them they insist to fix the problem but proceed to take a lunch with only 1 hr left of there shift. Unprofessional children scammers.

Grand Ledge Auto and Tire is a fantastic Auto repair shop! Art and his total team have done everything they could to fix my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, plus they drove me home while they worked on my Jeep. Who does that anymore? I was having a check engine light problem that kept coming on. So I used my handy dandy FIXD device that you put into the port under the dash. The app was telling me there was a Po300 code which needed to be fixed asap. So I called GL Auto and Tire up, and Art said begin it right over even without an appointment. Amazing because no shop that I have used in the past has ever said that to me before.
So they had Jaydin drive me back home in my Jeep so that I wouldn’t have to sit around and wait while they looked it. Who even does that anymore either? They did keep my Jeep for 2 days which was fine with me as long as the problem got fixed. Even Art himself worked on it the next morning because they had to wait for parts, and I was getting antsy to get my Jeep back because I had appointments that I needed to take care of.
Anyway, as far as I’m concerned Art, and his team at GL Auto and Tire did right by me. Even the cost for the repair wasn’t that bad considering all they had to do to get her fixed.
Would I use them again, absolutely I would. Beginning new to the area because I moved down here from the UP, and I don’t know anyone here or any of the repair shop to take my Jeep to. So I called my insurance agent at State Farm, and asked them if they could recommend a repair shop in town. They are the ones that sent me over to Grand Ledge Auto and Tire , and that says a lot to me coming from your insurance agent.
Moral of the story is, Grand Ledge Auto and Tire are now my go to repair shop for all my repair needs!!!!!

Thought I would try GL tire based on some positive reviews and a personal recommendation , boy that was a mistake. Took my sons ‘07 Subaru for a check engine light and some other minor repairs on a Tuesday. Told him the battery might be dead and had to be jumped twice to get the vehicle there , Art said that wouldn’t be a problem. He’d let me know by Friday what the issue was with the check engine and a quote on the other repairs.
Late on the following Monday he finally calls to say that the battery is dead and I need to buy a new one before he can diagnose anything. Of course he could do a new battery for $270, more than $100 for what I actually purchased the same battery for from a retailer. After repeating that I had told him this when I brought the car in and his reassurance it wouldn’t be an issue. I asked why he didn’t have a spare power supply for diagnosing issues in events just like this and he looked at me like I had two heads. So faced with either getting ripped off by them for the battery or the inconvenience of having to replace it myself just so they could do what I asked them to do, I realized they don’t want my business.
If that is Arts idea of problem solving and customer service then they suck, I don’t care how nice a guy he might be. Terrible customer service, zero problem solving skills and simply here to rip you off. GL Tire blows. If you like mechanics who are slow, don’t problem solve, have the right tools to do the job and would like to price gouge on products then GL tire is for you.
Gas up or get a quick fix. The inside is set up like a well curated vintage art collection. While waiting for our headlight to get fixed we played old arcade games and took a Time Machine back to the 90s.
The owner Art really goes the extra mile to help his customers out and is extremely patient and kind. Had my vehicle fixed a couple times by the guys here and everyone is so friendly and honest. Recommend!
The owner of the shop basically called my fiance a liar this morning. I went to go see him by myself so she wouldn't have to deal with their nonsense. I dropped my car off on Saturday, and they told me originally they'd have my car done by Monday, but they got it done on Tuesday instead. I had work on Tuesday, so I told them that my fiance would have to pick it up. I specifically said fiance and not wife. They called her at 11:03am to tell her they got done installing all the lights except the 3rd break light above the back hatch. They asked her if they should fix it, and my fiance said she didn't know. At 11:15am they called her back to tell her to come pick it up. She was charged $276.51 even though I assumed they'd do it for free since they never gave me an estimate and I offered on several occasions to show them the video I took of my lights working no more than 10 minutes before I originally took my car into them to get other things done to it. That means that any wiring issue with lights were caused by them. I also offered to show them the screenshots of the phone calls my fiance received from them to prove they are claiming they rewired multiple lights on my car with about 10 minutes. They claimed the first time they called her was to ask my fiance to approve the work to be done, which she didn't. It takes a lot longer than ten minutes to do all they work they claimed they did in that time. The owner told me that my fiance did approve the repairs and told me she was lying and that two of his employees claimed they both were on the phone with her at the exact same time even though she only talked to one person per phone call. The owner claimed that I told his workers that my fiance is my wife even though I never said the word wife to them before this huge argument. He also claimed there's no legal difference between a fiance and a wife even though I don't have a marriage certificate yet, we haven't had the wedding, and my fiance isn't on the title of mycar and therefore if she did approve the repairs, even though she didn't, she wouldn't have had the legal right to do so. As I was trying to talk to the owner about most of this. He had his back turned away from me and was singing "LA LA LA LA" as a childish attempt to ignore me. We at least got a $225 refund, but we shouldn't have needed to pay for any of the lights or wiring to begin with.
I came in having issues getting my Motorhome started because I let the battery die over the course of the winter. The gentleman who was there was more than willing to help me out and giving me a jump start and gave me some great advice about what precautions I could take to prevent issues in the future. Highly recommended! I definitely appreciate their willingness to go above and beyond to help!
Art and his crew took amazing care of me and my car. They were transparent, quick, and very affordable. As a young woman, some places can be predatory but I did not feel this way at all here. Thank you!!
