Yeah, I called in earlier today for a tow and the lady was super rude and super short with me on the phone. There’s too many tow companies in this town for her to think that I have to go with them.
I was told that my request to be towed was denied by “higher ups”. I was on the shoulder of I94. I understand it’s a dangerous job and I was in a dangerous spot but it’s part of the job. I would put 0 stars if it let me.

I was stranded at the mall in Battle Creek, and not one single person—not in the stores, not in the parking lot—would let me use their phone. I was in serious trouble. I had no help, no way to call anyone. I ended up walking this entire area if stores, hoping someone, anyone, would give me a break.
Finally, someone at AutoZone—bless them—let me use their phone. I called for help. I even tried contacting mall security. The police showed up, I waved them down… and they just drove away. Left me standing there.
But then came Matt and Tara from McLean’s Towing—and everything changed.
These two are the definition of real ones. They showed up with compassion, kindness, and professionalism. They treated me like a human being when the rest of the world turned a blind eye. I don’t say this lightly: if it wasn’t for Matt and Tara, I might not be here right now.
There are a lot of bad people out there. These two? They’re the exact opposite. They restored my faith in humanity that day.
If you're ever stuck, scared, or stranded—pray that McLean’s Towing picks up the call, and that it’s Matt and Tara rolling up. Because that means help is truly on the way.

I called to have my car towed from my drive way, to the repair shop. Upon arriving, the guy tried to charge me a extra $35. When I asked why, he got an attitude, saying he would have to remove my tire to tow it. and If I didn't want to have him do it, have somebody else try to do it. I told him I didn't like his tone or how he was talking. I then told told him, he could leave and I'll call another tow company. That's when he tried to act confused as to what just took place. But the whole time I had his dispatcher on the phone and she agreed that his demeanor was un called for and she would talk to him. I called Tigers towing. Not only did they tow my car without having to remove the tire, he was much more professional.
Everyone I talked to was very nice. They said 40 minutes and the tow truck was there exactly 40 minutes later!
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I was quoted a price that was not accurate- the lady I spoke with on the phone said she was new and had forgotten to charge for something, which increased my bill by quite a bit.
Every time I've needed a tow truck (which is thankfully only 4 times or so) McClaine's has been the way to go. They are incredible, always helpful, and I truly feel that the drivers go above and beyond. My interactions have been amazing, and I think tow guys are heaven sent angels.
McClaine's was patient to explain everything to me, helped me figure out what I needed to do for insurance, and have been the sweetest and kindest people I have met in Michigan!
They see people during what is a scary time for them and make sure that they are safe.
I will recommend them to anyone who ever needs help if their car is down.
We were in town just for the weekend camping and had car trouble. AAA and no one else quite understood how to help us. Scott came to tow our car and offered his advice on how to handle the situation we were in since we had to get back to Chicago the next day.
He dropped us off at our camp site and took the car to the mechanic for us, he let us know what time to get there to ensure we got our car back in time.
Scott was so kind and helpful, he definitely went above and beyond to help us and we are so grateful for his help.
Long story on how after 5 hours AAA's first company failed to perform, however when I insisted on a new dispatch - McClaine's came up. Within 20 minutes, Scott arrived. Plus called to verify before he arrived to insure quality service.
Clone about three more Scotts and you will have a fantastic service.

The driver that drives the pink truck was way beyond awesome and took excellent care of my vehicle during the hookup transportation and unhooking definitely going in as my top 2 favorite wrecker companies that I will highly recommend

Extremely rude and unprofessional driver, didn't like what I had said about the company and had began to raise his voice and was swearing at me. This was not the kind of attitude you want from anybody after getting into an accident! I will actively refuse service from McClain's towing from now on, I would rather pay extra for another company than ever use McClain's Towing again.

I called McClain's towing around 1pm and scheduled a tow, the tow truck didn't show up until 4pm and it was the wrong truck for the job so he called and they sent a flatbed, which didn't show up until 11pm, they flatbed driver then told me that they needed the other truck to move it and told they would likely charge me for two trucks and it wouldn't be done until the morning, it's been 24 hours since the initial call and no word from McClain's and my vehicle has yet to be towed. I will not be using McClain's towing service again after this incident. The lack of communication and the time it's taken them is ridiculous.
Dispatched a driver to me quickly, and the guy had experience in the trade, he did an awesome job hooking up to my big truck and hauling it where it needed it go, smooth drop off skilled driver wish I remembered his name
They answered the phone promptly.. I was inquiring about a tow from Athens to Battle Creek, Mi. It was a little more than I could afford at that time..
McClains have towed my other vehicles and provided excellent service..
Though the technology side of this business is on the low tech side... this is the best place ever. My car was impounded by the police and they were able to help me by accepting a payment to stop my storage fees and towed my car all the way to Kalamazoo for a decent price. They are good people. Very kind. Very understanding. The most refreshing experience I've had in a long time. Thank you so much!
I would not recommend them. Ruined my backseat by throwing all the trash, glass, and debris in it. They told me they do this with all there cars they tow. I’ve never had this happen to me with any other towing company and will never use them again. Even the workers at the auto body shop couldn’t believe they would do something like that. Would not recommend.
The best!! Our vehicles or small equipment needing to be moved they have always been able to take care of us. Drivers are skilled and safe plus the dispatch gives us realistic pick times so we're not sitting around waiting.
Terrible experience. We will never use this business again. We called McClains to haul our truck after it broke down at the Citco gas station on Helmer Rd and 94. We had a new outboard motor and gas fire pit in the back. The driver said we would need someone to pick us up and wouldn't let my husband ride with him. He would be following us home. About half way into the tow, 5 miles from our house, they called off our tow, to take a cop call. The driver said he would need to take our truck to their office and unload it in order to take the other tow, and they would finish our tow later. Loading and unloading the truck, with a $3500 outboard motor in the back, for our tow was bad enough, now it was going to be done two more times for someone elses tow. Also, now our truck, along with about $5000 of merchandise was no longer in our possession. After waiting about an hour for our truck to arrive I called the office and was told that our truck was in transit, and if the driver had a passenger they wouldn't have done it that way. My husband would have been a passenger if the driver would have let him. This is such disgusting way to do business, cop call or not.
I called for a tow and they were there within 15 minutes, then the driver helped diagnose what was wrong with my car!! For over an hour he helped fix the problem with my car and didn’t even charge for the service! I didn’t get his name but he was at Biggby Coffee in Pennfield at 2:30 PM on Friday 4/21 to tow the Malibu. I will absolutely be using and recommending McClaine’s towing from here on out
I was in a bad situation and they were calm, cool, and professional. Got my problem solved—from phone call to tow back to my house—in about 2 hours. Whomever AAA sent never arrived. I called McClaine’s because I trust this towing company and have had them tow my vehicles multiple times over the years.
My car just had " stopped last week. I had to call for a tow. McClaine's was recommended. The lady answered phone, asked few questions and said perhaps 30 minutes.
He was timely and polite asking me questions about the car... stall out/ just quit.
He backed my car in my driveway without hesitation, next to other vechile.

I have had to use mcclaines several times over the last year and they never fail to go out of their way to help me, even when other services would not. They are all so kind, fast, helpful and cheap even. Dustin helped me last time and showed me some tricks to use on my car if in an emergency. LOVE mcclaines and wouldn’t choose anywhere else. 100% recommend.
Called to get my truck towed. They gave me a time that they would be there but they never showed, never called me. 3 hours after they were supposed to be here I called them but nobody answered. If something changes you let the customer know, but apparently McClaines doesn't respect their customers enough to bother with that. Very unprofessional.
When I finally gave up on them and called another place, they came right over and had my truck towed out in no time. Won't make the mistake of calling McClaines ever again
Dispatcher was very nice. Driver got to me fairly quick and opened my vehicle without any damage. The driver was a really nice guy as well, and I would call them again if needed.
I’m a stickler when it comes to car and ALWAYS hesitant with whomever has to fix and/or tow it. I was very, very pleased with their service. The receptionist of the business was very professional and eased my mind of any worries I was having. I also was notified when my car was dropped off at the place of my choice (through insurance company). Highly recommend.
If I could give 0 stars out of 5 I would. The driver was not properly trained or competent to do his job. He loaded our truck wrong and sent it through our garage. Over $20,000 in damages and so many headaches that could have been avoided! Mistakes happen but from what we heard after the fact, there were known issues with the driver. The situation could have been avoided. I was not impressed with how the manager/owner handled the situation either. Beware of this company!!
I had to have my boyfriends truck towed off 94. It was raining and I didn't even have to get out of my car and that was appreciated! He was very professional, quick and did exactly what I asked of him! I will definitely use them again and they will always be the 1st call I make!
I understand that they can be busy, but the phone service was very poor, and I didn’t appreciate being rushed off the phone. I just had a question, and my car shouldn’t have been at there place of business in the FIRST PLACE!!! Please get nicer women. The besides that, the tow truck guy was really nice. So 5 stars to him!
