Best most creative shop around. Very classy shop. I’ve used them to help downsize my grandmother‘s estate. Needless to say it was highly stressful for me and I wasn’t sure which direction to go. Stephen came and helped me tremendously. It was a true lifesaver. He came out, checked out everything that we had told us what would be sellable and what would not be. He helped Reminded us to make sure the family goes through the items and takes Out anything that they may want to keep. I hadn’t really thought about that so I was glad he mentioned it. He also helped us with some items that he thought should be put through auction elsewhere, which was tremendously helpful. He works with a lot of other area places that have the following say for mid-century modern furniture, and that would help me realize more money to pay for my grandmother’s estate. The process was long, but it was worth the wait because the company doesn’t just sell through their online auction. They will also sell in their store if he feels I’ll get more, which I liked because it meant I was going to get the most value for my Money. Steven texted me every time there was a question about one of my pieces and if I would be willing to sell it. He even took my sterling silver to his scrap guy and had the scrap man cut me a check directly! Stephen actually really cared about my bottom line more than his own and kept running my items through auction after auction until they sold lol! all in all, I was super happy with how the process went. Even though it took a little bit longer than expected it was worth it in the end because I ended up only having to pick up two items that did not sell. This company definitely cares about their clients whether in store or auction. I think it’s pretty cool that they run a full-time store and auction estate services with just two people. It’s pretty impressive! The store itself is awesome. There are so many wonderful pieces. There are lots of antiques in this store and it changes all the time. There’s always something new to find and things don’t often last long here anyway. I find if I see it and I love it. I should buy it because it probably won’t be there when I go back. Here are some photos of some of the cool pieces I saw when I was there. But again, it’s unlikely that these are still there because unless the store is using it for display their inventory changes often. I love that when I go there I’m gonna find something unique and different and I think that’s because of all the different ways. The store itself works to bring great product to their customers.
Absolutely a gem of an antique shop. Not only is it filled with incredible antiques, the design of the shop is impeccable. You truly feel transported back in time to an estate or manor with the different rooms decor. The owners are truly wonderful and they make you feel so welcome every time you walk in. Also, I love that every time there is always something new + unique. Cannot say enough amazing words about Hunt and Gather!
This is one of my favorite places to shop around. Great selection for everyone. Lots of handmade items, vintage, antique, home decor, apothecary and great selection of crystals! Even the way the store is set up is inspiring!
Beautifully curated shop filled with vintage finds, locally made candles, and a thoughtful selection of herbs. Wonderful place to explore and discover something special!
Very well appointed store. Lots of high-end crafts and maker goods. They also have an online auction and the back room to the right is the auction items so you can look at them if you are local and want to bid on them online. Lots of great large antique pieces like hutches and tables. Will definitely go back
This place is really cool! There are all kinds of interesting, vintage items—decor, furniture, various objects. There are newly made pillows, a huge variety of soaps, an apothecary with herbs. They also do auctions, and you can preview the auction items in the shop.
Updated in 2025: Years ago, I really liked this place because there were so many different vendors all selling really cool antiques. I would always find something any time I'd visit. I hadn't stopped by in about 2 years, and unfortunately, it's not the same anymore. Still a cool place to walk through, but nearly all of the vendors have been replaced with those selling shabby chic decor and modern rustic crafty stuff. The few actual antiques were mainly ones that were sitting in the same spot they were 2 years ago, nothing new. The only items I even considered checking the price on were not even for sale. They were all part of some sort of auction website and could not be purchased or bid on in-house. There were a couple items I would have been interested in but at that point I'd rather just bid on it on ebay. To put it in perspective, I used to go every few months and spend 2 hours just checking out even half of it and always left with something. My last visit took about 20 minutes of just running past people's crafts and peeking at the 2 or 3 vendors with anything worth looking at. I will say that if you like rustic art, there were a few artists booths worth looking at if you take a right after you walk in.
Great place to find both antiques and repurposed items. Friendly staff and the store is located in the beautiful town of Princeton, MA. We visited their Hudson store and were encouraged to take the trip to Princeton. It was well worth the trip
I was totally impressed with this rather large and well laid out establishment. I was actually just on a weekend pleasure cruise and I stopped here on a whim. I was glad that I did! This place is filled with all types of treasures and cool artwork. I wish I had more room in my car, I would have actually purchased a couple larger items. Just means I'll have to come back! What a treat! if your in the area and your looking for neat stuff to put into your home, check them out. Prices on most of the items were very reasonable.
What a gem of a store! It is truly a hidden treasure tactful of everything from mittens to geodes two antique artwork. You never know what you are going to find that Gather and Hunt but it's an exciting unique experience each time you visit.
Love this place. I literally don't think I have ever gone there without buying something. Has Crompton collective vibes but with better pricing and nicer stuff. Also if you are looking for architectural salvage, they have a decent selection.
I love this store and it’s products, the staff is great, but I can only give it a 4 star rating because the fragrance in the building is overwhelming. I thought it someone wearing too much cologne, but that fragrance has permeated the great items we purchased. Trying to get the smell out of them now and nursing a migraine.
I recently read a study, 30% of the general population reported fragranced items irritating, 20% causing discomfort,
Higher among those with asthma and chemical sensitivities.
I hope they discontinue the fragrance, in the gem of a store.
I Love this place! There’s everything from crystals, earrings, spices, candles to furniture, clothing and artwork. I even just love to walk through and browse, since there’s always something new that I missed the first, second, third time.? I grew in Princeton and lived there while my kids were young - and we never had such a cool place as this.
I’m not sure what the hype is. I will say, it’s a nice building with nice stuff. The employees are great. 90% of this store is not vintage or antique items. It was a lot of Pinterest stuff, handmade new items, body products soaps and tacky farm stuff. I think it’s really important to curate.
This is the thrift/resell store of your dreams! By far my absolute favorite I've ever been to. All the sellers have such lovely curated stalls/spaces that you truly do want to buy everything you see. They have a nice mix/selection and even cater to a witch like me now with a lovely crystal shop selection up front and a beautiful apothecary in the back. Unique thrift, vintage, and handmade items are packed into the space without feeling claustrophobic. Each time I've been there's been a nice area to sit for a moment if needed. If you're decorating shabby chic or like to do your own projects there is even a nice selection of old doors, windows, and shutters in the back. Their washrooms are very clean and also adorably curated with items like what they sell.
great collection of unique items, well worth a drive. amazing prices on furniture, a friend was able to get pieces for their house that are great finds!
First time visiting here & quickly fell in love. Defiantly coming back here, so many amazing things too look at. Love the vibe of the place & the staff!
This little vintage market is absolutely adorable. It is filled to the brim with little shops full of not only vintage items, but refurbished goods that could please anybody’s wishes and wants when antiquing. I did not only enjoy looking at all the beautiful pieces of furniture and goods in each individual persons shops in this place, But found some treasures of my own to take home. Another place that has been added to my favorites list to come back and visit in the future.
Love this place. Go here a lot when I’m home in MA! Cool stuff. Great balance of scattered and organized antiques and curiosities. I love that they showcase and preach Reusability and Recycling/ Upcycling!!! Very cool vibes. Love it!
Honestly, this is one of my absolute favorite Antique shops !!!! Co-op style & not lacking at all in choices.... They just have a bit of everything & the owners couldn't be more nice & helpful, so ask questions.... There's a room towards the end of the building where they had marked down (kind of a scratch & dent room) items. Plenty of free parking.... make the trip, you'll not regret it !!!!
What a great little market in central Massachusetts! Honestly, the quality of the vendors here was impressive. I spent a hour looking for goodies for my home. I'd reccomend this place to anyone looking for good stuff in their lives.
Great local business, lots of treasures to be found. Love their weekly Farmers market every Sunday from 1-4 till November. Then it will go to Monthly. The owners are always on hand. And must check out Dawn's Delights located in the same building.
What a great little treasure! Inside the Hunt and Gather Market, Dawn's Delights is the place to go if you want a great cup of coffee. The coffee is hand poured and so delicious it doesn't even need sugar or cream to spruce it up. The treats to go with the coffee are equally good, all her goods are fresh and delicious.
To top it off, the proprietor, Dawn, is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. She makes you feel if you're part of her extended family when she's serving you. If you're in the area, it's a must to stop in and sample her delectable treats, it's that good!
