Stopped in for a set of wheels from my truck. Staff was tremendously helpful, doing some online research to find me my best option. I felt the staff went above and beyond to assist me. I'll be back next time I am in need of used auto parts.
They were pleasant and said they would deliver and four days later after I sold the job they were not so pleasant said they would not. So I went on car-part.com where you can see all junk yards inventory and prices and found something cheaper that had delivery.
Please do your research from buying anything from these guys. I have zero mechanical knowledge on buying used parts however I found these guys got a motor that was said 80,000 miles on. It did not look at it. Had it shipped from Massachusetts to Connecticut for almost $2000, definitely paid all the money for that. Come to find out the mileage exceeded that by far once the Vin was run.. The motor is in very rough shape and at this point have so much money and time and do it. It was not worth it. The guy on the phone said it just came out of a great super clean and I believed him. That is my mistake, but if you guys are going to buy from these people. You are going to look at what you’re buying and have plenty of mechanical knowledge because these guys got me pretty good
Although there is barely help on hand due to staffing issues that everyone is experiencing the service is genuine. Knows where every part is located and even when you have to find parts yourself they are easily accessible. I even picked up the wrong part and the owner was kind enough to swap out parts with ease.
I highly recommend Rt 117 for all your used auto parts. The owner and team are very helpful. The product quality is very good and the guys working and assisting with parts are great at what they do and very friendly. I am always impressed with their professionalism and customer service.
I purchased a part for my vehicle, no problem. Went on vacation and when I came back my car couldn't be fix while I was away because they sold me the wrong part. I understand that they have a 30 return policy and when I went in, it was well over the 30 days and I made that clear. The customer service is disgusting! They have their receipts on their end, so if a customer is telling you that you sold them the wrong part, why not work with them to keep them? You sell them a wrong part and on top of that, you want to charge a 25% restocking fee? The part clearly has their writing on it. And they can verify thru their receipts but I guess they rather lose business.
Went in today for the last time, will not be returning due to the extremely rude and arrogant man behind the counter. (fat guy with glasses and beard) he's a jerk, plain and simple. Not sure if he is owner or just an employee. He's been rude to many other people also, look at the reviews. You lost another customer today.
I am very impressed by the quality of service that I received here. The price of my alternator was significantly less than the other yards. The guys on the yard were very helpful and friendly, and the guy behind the desk with the headset didn't mind giving me some advice about how to find a junked van from a private seller. The headset guy even gave me a discount on my visor because I pulled it. I cannot say enough good things about this yard; I will definitely be going back!
These folks actually had the part I needed from a 25 year old vehicle (seems like most of them have been crushed by now!). The price was reasonable, condition was good, and the transaction was quick and easy. I paid over the phone, they removed the part, and I picked it up after work. I look forward to doing business with them in the future.
Bad Place 25% restock fee witch is too much for used parts. I deal with lot of companies normal charge 5% which is fair , don’t call this place don’t go there because they make money on restock fee they don’t make money on relationships between seller and costumers
Guy seems like he's never had his cup of coffee in the morning. I've went out there few times and each time there was something wrong. The last one I needed calipers for my car and he told me that no matter what I had to pay for them broke or not .....well I've never done business like that why would I pay for a part broken or rusted to hell???
Nice counter guys help me very polite.
Even though they didn't have what I needed they let me check the yard just in case they might have part.

Went back to 117 Auto Parts and again great pilot counter guys that let you check there yard for the part or parts you need. This time I was able to find the part I needed which was not available to buy anywhere. I can't begin to tell you how happy I was to find this hard to find part under the dashboard type of a part which holds the cable to the shift pointer which has a adjustment wheel. There just is nothing bad I could possibly say about how my visit went today. I will be back next time I'm looking for parts for my car. Chris helped me out again.
Great place to get used auto parts, all the guys who work here are very knowledgeable,and take pride in what they do even if it's just asking a question.
I have visited RT 117 a handful of times to locate hard to find parts for my super old 1995 Toyota Tercel! If they don't have the part they will locate it for me within their network of used auto parts. Everyone is very nice and easy to work with
These guys ROCK! I needed a window regulator for my cabriolet and these guys had one. I thought I was stuck with a broken window and these guys saved the day. Other sellers wanted a small fortune and/or it was it poor shape. Route 117 sold me a great part for a very reasonable price. Regulator came in great shape and was exactly as advertised. Will DEFINITELY buy from again.
