Park on corner of Carter st and 4th st and walk to the location to inform them about your pickup/drop.
They’ll tell you to make a turn(from the building shown in picture) and backup to location facing 4th street.
It might look very difficult but 4th Street is very wide, wide enough to make turns easily.
Not a very nice place to visit but the employees make it worth the time and effort. To make it easy for truck drivers with a bunk and 53 ft trailer, here are some key points you HAVE TO follow :
1. Enter the address for 128 Carter St, Chelsea, MA 02150, United States (which is the adjacent location) on google and truck map. Both maps send you to a different location if you enter 320 4th St, Chelsea, MA 02150, United States.
2. Drive at 1 North, take exit for Webster Avenue. Take a left from stop sign and keep in left turn lane to see the traffic lights. After taking left from the lights, take exit on left to go to 1 South. Now take first exit for Carter Street and stay in the right lane. Take a right from the stop sign and go straight through the lights. Then cross another all way stop sign and take a right on fourth street.
3. Enter the building on the corner on your left (128 Carter St, Chelsea, MA) and make a u turn. It is open 24 x 7. Now exit the building like if you are going the way you came and go backwards. Now there is a blind back because Harsip is on your right.
4. They have only one dock for 53 ft trailers. So, you might want to wait on a side of the street if it is busy. Go and tell them before backing up. They will help you for backing as it is a blind back.
5. Once on the dock, takes roughly 30 - 45 minutes to do the job. Be ready with the PARS sticker. They will give you a seal.
6. There is no overnight parking in the location but you can make a U turn and pull to the side on the street to sleep. The street is not busy.
7. There is a washroom in the location and you can use it. The location is open from 5 am to 2 pm but they prefer if you come from 6 am to 1 pm.

Have used these guys for years at my machine shop. The service on site is always great. I've dealt with shady places before and am well aware of when I'm getting taken for a ride. These guys are always honest and fair with their pricing and weights.
The person who answered the phone was so nice I felt I needed to leave a review. I want to be clear I have not used their services. I was searching a place to take recycling items. They informed me they only deal with commercial accounts but was nice enough to give me the names of 2 other places. Even looked up the telephone number for me!
