A little dated. I’ve been going here for 22 years. Great location beach is as relaxing as it gets. Great for families, you are able to cook your own meals.

Awesome famcamp. This is for military only, so be aware of that. Quiet, views of the Atlantic, when the tide is out sandy beaches. Great place to rest and relax. Laundry, bathhouse, small camp store. Good place to go to Boston or Cape Cod National Seashore for a day.

Went every summer in the 70s and 80s and 90s. And i mean every summer!! So many wonderful family memories here. Spreading my brother's ashes there soon❤️❤️❤️

I love the Fourth Cliff Recreational Area, unfortunately due to erosion it is now a compact area largely for RVs and camping. Each RV spot has its own hook ups for water, waste, and electrical. There is a beautiful campground restroom and bathhouse facility at the bottom of the hill and port-a-loos at the top. The area being in a residential spot is extremely quiet and peaceful, a great way to unwind if you're traveling from afar or even from in state. There are facilities for celebrations and events, spacious and scenic. The cabins are retro mid century modern style, but with all the necessary amenities. Sheets, pillows, blankets, full sized appliances in the kitchens (but no dishwashers). Propane fireplaces add to the scenic beach views on chilly days. The beach is very rocky, but a breathtaking sunset year round. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the erosion warnings upon check in.

Ck web site if this is your first time coming here. Gate is self opening. RV sites may not be level!! Air force needs to invest in erosion control. There are million dollar views of bay or ocean from camp sites. Cabins are a other option. Well be returning!!

As with many military places, no discount for staying longer. She told me two weeks max at a time for RV slots it the "cabins"... Ok... Water pressure was good, electric hookup was excellent, cell reception was as good as we've had in a while... Bath House was spacious and the Hot water was SOO HOT! Laundromat was cozy- 2.50 for smaller washers, same price for BIG dryers. THE VIEW WAS TREMENDOUS!! Few things are nicer for me than to just look out the window and see the shore. We went and waded several times, and got plenty of magic rocks for the grandkids. Aside from the minor inconvenience of having to physically open and close the drive thru gates, it was all good ...

4th Cliff is an amazing site owned and operated for military. Several cabins and a few rv sites. Surrounded by water on 3 sides. It has an interesting history also.

Nice campground in great location. Ocean on one side and river on the other. Good place to catch stripes, hang out at the beach and relax. Shower house was clean and stocked, small store with limited items and it is a decent drive to larger grocery stores so bring what you need.

A really quiet place to go and de-stress from life. Bring your own pillows. First time staying in one of the efficiency's. Different than one of the cottage's. A nice advantage is having front and rear porches to watch sun rises and sun sets. Just wish it had a small stove or hot plate. Sometimes a microwave is just not enough.

Nice departure from other places we have stayed. Very rocky Beaches with only limited sandy areas. Found shore fishing tough with rocks and weeds. Beautiful scenic area. Quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed.

Our campsite was nice - full service - on a cliff with a view of the ocean in the front and the beach in the back. It's a little dicey to get to driving a 36' Class A with a toad. Streets are very narrow. The gate is manual so someone has to get out and open and close it. The office is quite run down and needs a serious coat of paint and the Wi-Fi password didn't work, but the cottages looked like they were very well maintained - cute little cape cods with a view of the beach or ocean. For the price, it was the best value in our whole trip from Texas to Maine, and close enough to Boston for sightseeing.

This is gated, private, government property, lodging community. It's so untouched, so pretty, and just...perfect. The views at sunrise &sunset, are truly indescribable. I saw one of the best sunsets I've ever seen, on my bday here, in 2021. Again- it's private government property, so the only way you're getting out to this well protected paradise, is with a member of the Army. It was great to see that our military personal, are given some sort or extras such as this. THANK U FOR ALL U DO! #hiddengem

Best beach within an hour or so from Hanscom AFB for military members. Free parking and very peaceful. The weather here is about 10 degrees cooler. Most of the beach is rocky but there is some nice sand. Highly recommended.

We absolutely love it here. It is truly our home away from home. You have everything you need in the chalets other than food etc. We get some great fishing in right from the beach. Dale is absolutely fabulous, such a sweet, caring man with a wonderful personality. And pam is awesome as well, such a great lady. We come every year, or atleast try to. Love, love, love this place!!!

Enjoyed every minute of it. We will be coming back and making sure we stay longer than 3 days. This is the Best hidden gem. Staff lovely the grounds was clean and the other visitors was nice! If your in a RV make sure you bring something to roll one side on because it's hard to get leveled but we finally did!

Dirty kitchen not cleaned. Floor not swept ants gathered around the left food in the floor when I arrived. They finally got rid of the disgusting furniture. Things are improving, just need to get a great house keeper

It is a beautiful place, but the houses need to be cleaned better. I think they only vacuum and sweep and that’s all. They do not do a thorough cleaning. That is my only complaint.

We stayed at one of the cabins all appliances were working place was clean water was clean although there are lots of rocks there not in the water or on the shore were we stayed. Parking is tight so you my have to walk. What a wonderful place for service retires and family. Thanks

I love it here. I wish I could buy one of the cottages and live here year round. It's one of my favorite places in the world. I used to go as a child and now we have a family tradition to go every year. The only downside is that there is no air conditioning. But for the most part if you keep your fans running and windows open the ocean breeze cools the house down. I was there this past weekend when it was 100 out and it was rough but it cooled off at night slightly. They have fans in every room. But now to talk about the beaches! There used to be access to the shoreline off to the right. You could go down stairs and use that beach as well. But due to coastal erosion it's no longer accessible and strictly off limits. On the left is a great little beach and marshy area where the North River meets the ocean. The waves are a bit milder because you're on an inlet so it's perfect for kids. During low tide you can still find sand dollars, crabs, and hermit crabs. It is Greenhead fly season though! They're active July into August. So earlier in the summer is ideal. If you're unfamiliar with them they're a fly that sucks your blood. And the bites hurt like hell at first and become itchy later. They leave huge welts. So definitely recommend early summer! And you cannot beat the price! Just an FYI to any other military out there that are eligible to stay here the military has facilities like this all over you can rent for cheap! Even in Hawaii!

I give this place two starts for sentimental reasons only. I can't believe that ghee government let this place go downhill so bad. The staff was a little on the rude side and the entire reception building was in a state of disarray. Have been going here for about 35 years while in the military and have watched it steadily decline. Road and cliff erosion can be seen.

I have been coming to Fourth Cliff for over 20 years it's too bad that erosion is starting to take its toll on this beautiful place but I was here over Memorial Day weekend and the cabins were clean and the people were great as a matter of fact I just recommended it to my nephew who is active duty military and he is going to try to come up this month in addition my father is staying for a week and a half in July

Very nice place to be. Dale and Pearce are making it a great military family ocean resort area to visit. I've been coming here for almost 40 years. Shouldn't have to pay $2 for a bag of ice when there's an ice machine in the back. $2.50 for an ice cream bar? Come on now. Guests should have better benefits after serving. I can remember when it was affordable for ENLISTED to stay at 4th CLIFF

This location was so peaceful and amazing views, we loved our week here. Our only complaint is that the sites are not level and you have to manually open & close the gate. Great AT&T service

Location, location, location! Even though it's in an out-of-the-way location at Cape Cod, the FCFRA is easy to get to and offers great views of the ocean. I gave it 4 stars because some of the RV sites on the highest point are eroding away and will soon disappear if the Air Force can't find the money to repair the cliff. The camping sites they do have left are close together, but what do you expect from such a small RV campground. You can also rent cottages for a reasonable price. The little store is, well, little. Don't expect Super Walmart here or you'll be disappointed. Must reserve well in advance for sites as they're only so many left. As of 8/2019, I gave 3 stars to cabin #33 for broken window hinges and spiders!

We had a really great week but we would probably not visit again. There isn’t much to do here other than the beach and this location is in need of some updating. Cost: $35 a night for electric, sewer, water, cable, and internet. $15 for no hookup campsites. Pros: -Beautiful views of the water. -Great cable and internet. -Our highlight was exploring during the extreme low tides and finding different sea creatures. Crabs, snails, hermit crabs, starfish, shrimp, and small fish can easily be spotted around the rocks. – Laundry available in building #6 $2.50 to wash and $2.50 to dry. – Fire pits on the beach (none at campsites) – Sounds of waves crashing while you sleep. -Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Cons: -Several rv spots are no longer in use because of beach/road corrosion. -Some of the rv spots have the hookups on the wrong side. -The bathrooms were dirty and full of spider webs. Note: we don’t use the bathrooms (I prefer using our rv) but I always check them for a review. I checked twice in a 3 days span and noticed the same trash was on the floor, no paper towels, ect. – No security. Gate is wide open for anyone to come through. No id check. They only asked for id when we checked in for our site. – No pool or park for the kids. -Small campsites. We got lucky not having neighbors most of the week so the kids had room to play and ride their bikes but if someone would have been there it would have been tight quarters. Things to do nearby: Scituate Lighthouse: 25 minutes away Town of Scituate: If you are already visiting the light house I also recommend walking around the town of Scituate. Several cute shops and restaurants. Boston: About an hour or two away depending on traffic. @travelingwiththetompkins

Great getaway option for military families. The cabins are basic but well equipped and comfortable. The views are incredible and you couldn't get any closer to the beach. Will definitely return.

Great beach, great views, cabins need updating, bathroom shower just ok, peaceful, kitchen good, good location, but everything is 15 minutes away except great local restaurant and small grocery store at bridge. We loved it.

We got in late, after hours. There's no map at the registration office and the numbers on the cabins can be hard to see in the dark. Made a few loops around trying to find our place. Once we found it, it was great; clean, well maintained, comfortable. Views are beautiful. Highly recommend!!!

Disappointing. Poorest AF recreation accommodations I been in over the past thirty or more years. Furnishing are deplorable and there was no shelving/cabinet in unit 136 to put your toiletentries on. I would not recommend this facility to others.
