They damaged my car afand refused to take responsibility for it. I brought my car there for mechanical work. Spent a sizable amount but was happy to have them do it. After leaving the car for a day and a a half I pick it up, only to see a fresh dent on the drivers side rear panel. Surely they will acknowledge, apologize and offer some reimbursement? None of the above. Complete denial and very disappointing customer service. It's a shame as I had used them for a while. Ill never get work there again and I will continue to spread the word.
Not a bad place they are nice I needed a few things checked out plus and oil change was very open to all my concerns however the oil change is great therefore the other things not so well my concerns were my door won’t unlock when I put it in park the trunk button not working and my exhaust is dripping moisture and smells like gas and I have a sort of loud exhaust wanted to get it all checked out before it got louder reason on why I took it here but when I got my car back all was the same I understand they don’t charge to have it looked at but something must be going on I just wanted recommendations just got the car back the way I gave it to them but I just wish they would have inspected it a little better or cared a little more but maybe not because they don’t charge ehh not sure I wouldn’t return tho oil change was great but I want answers on the decreasing condition on my car if your trying to save your car before it gets bad I don’t recommend here but if you have legit problems then per other reviews give it a shot but don’t go if problems are just starting not recommend for that area
Really smart, kind and honest mechanic. My mom let her car get into bad shape, and Wesley let me tow it over, he assessed it and gave me a quote, and an honest recommendation that the car was not worth the amount of work it needed. He liaised with the junk yard looking for a door that needed to be replaced, and was overall easy to deal with and totally trustworthy. He made a very stressful event painless. Highly recommend.

I came to Teele Square Auto for a state inspection, but I still had one month left before it was due. Bikash was incredibly friendly and gave me honest advice to wait until my current inspection was closer to expiration. I really appreciated his honesty, courteous service, and welcoming attitude. I went to this gas station on 8/5/2024. When I pulled up to get gas I had to use to the bathroom.. I asked the attendant RAM working the night shift at 8pm, do you have bathroom and he said yes.. I proceeded to hand him $10 dollars cash and headed to the bathroom.. When I came out, I told him thank you for pumping gas.. When I got down the road, I noticed he never pumped the gas, so I went back and questioned him and he try to say sorry and proceeded to pump the gas.. If I never went back he would have pocketed my $10.. NOT COOL, I'LL NEVER RETURN!!
Brought my 95 Impala here for a lot of work ranging from suspension to engine work and heating/cooling. These guys are top class and always get the job right the first time. Communication is top notch and they are open and honest with you which is greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately they price gauge. 6 months ago an oil change with synthetic oil was 75 bucks and today it was 90. I called them when I got home and asked why it was so expensive and was told the price of the oil went up yet I called around to other places and the prices were even cheaper at 65 bucks so if oil prices went up wouldnt everyone be charging more? I always went to teele Square auto I love the guys there so friendly and nice but those prices are completely wild to me. You're not jiffy lube
I contacted Teele Square Auto on a Saturday afternoon to get my front bumper fixed and they were able to fix up my car on short notice at a fair price. Highly recommend bringing your car here!
Got breaks and rotors replaced, but one of my tires has been leaking air from the air valve ever since. 3 stars for fixing it with great service, but refused to acknowledge that the damage may be their fault
Update: I changed the review to 4 stars due to Chris's willingness to help out. Thanks to Chris, we would come back to Teele Square Auto again! Regarding the tire, we ended up buying a kit and fixing it ourselves.
Visiting for Thanksgiving I had an after market front bumper guard rust loose on one side. Teele Square removed the offending hunk of metal at no charge. Thank you!
The owner is full of greed. He charged me for an oil change he did not do. The TNC inspection, oil change and small part cost me $220. Who charges $55 for a oil change on a Honda Civic? I waited almost three hours for him to change a simple part that deals with windshield wiper fluid. I literally saw him overcharge an older couple for a simple three minute job he did when they walked to Dunkin Donuts. Stay away from this place.
I waited too long to replace my brakes and rotors, so my calipers also got damaged. They were able to replace all of this for a reasonable price within 4 hours. Great service, will definitely go back to them again!

Gave me an idea of what was happening with my car, looked at it 20 minutes after dropping off. I decided to not go forward with the service needed at this time due to cost, and held off for a little bit. I offered to pay for labor and time that it took to diagnose the car, and they didn't want payment. Very kind, quick and polite here and it was appreciated.
I had a great experience here! I brought my car in for an inspection and asked if they could check out why my car has been a little bit sluggish to accelerate. They did the inspection and checked the car out thoroughly, and let me know that they couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary. They only charged me for the inspection, and they didn’t try to upsell anything I didn’t need. I really appreciated their honesty and will definitely be coming back!
I live nearby and often stop here for gas and a yearly inspection sticker, but today I had a real problem. My car (2015 Highlander) wouldn't start and the check engine light came on when it was forced to. I called Teele Sq Auto.They picked up my car from my driveway, ordered Toyota parts, put them in, and I have my fixed car for work tomorrow. The receipt states the check engine light code. Great, honest people, fair pricing, and awesome service! Love my local independent mechanics!
I come here for annual safety inspections and they have always been great and quick! A couple months back my passenger door was dented so much so I was unable to open it and there was aesthetic damage (scratches etc). I brought it in for a quote to fix the passenger door and didn't care about taking out the scratches. The guys over there fixed my door for a SUPER reasonable price AND did some extra work by getting out the biggest scratch on my car. It looked awesome. Hopefully this doesn't happen again, but if it should I will definitely be bringing my car back to them for service. Thank you guys!!
I've relied on Eli and his crew for 10 years and give them the highest recommendation. Quality work, excellent service, and consistent efficiency. They are the best kind of neighborhood business -- they take pride in taking care of their customers. Recently, when I took my car in for a repair, they also took care of a dent I had and didn't charge for it because Eli said, "The guys will always just take care of stuff like that." I have countless examples like this over the years. I've never written a business review online before but I had to with these guys because I'm so grateful for all their help over the years.
These guys are fair priced, and honest. I've been multiple times and they do a good job taking care of you. Highly recommend. They have a sister shop down the street, if they cannot fix it they will make sure you get taken care of. Wes is always friendly and responsive. Going to the mechanic is never ideal but if you have to do it, this is a safe bet to start.
First visit to this shop since it's close to home and I realized I needed a last minute inspection. I went in at 4:30 and their shop closes at 5. Got gas here on the way too - it's full service and the person pumping was fast and nice.
Walked into the shop area and waited while an Uber driver talked with the mechanic about a failed inspection. Asked if they could squeeze one inspection in and the person behind the counter said yes, they could. Pulled my car up, registration and key in the car. There's a little waiting area with a few seats, 4 or so, and a free wifi password on the wall which was super nice so I could still stay connected to work.
Less than 20 minutes later I had a new passing inspection and sticker on the car. They take cards and all. Courteous and fast service.
I wonder if some of the reviews here are due to the thoroughness with which these folks inspect - some places are not as thorough it seems. Regardless, it was a good first experience.

Teele Square Auto took great care of my car for about three years while I lived in Somerville. I price shopped from time to time and always found their rates competitive and their customer service exceptional. There were several times when a small problem with my car (heat shield bent down due to snow) was fixed free of charge. You can trust their advice about your vehicle, the way they put it to me was that they are in the business of keeping your car on the road, the dealership is in the business of selling you a new car. Can't recommend them enough; I moved out almost two months ago and just remembered that I hadn't given them the review they richly deserve.
They had a bad rating on Yelp for a while, if that's still the case be sure to read the offending reviews, they're all bullshit and TSA responds to reach one with a much more plausible explanation for the customers gripes.

Great neighborly location (right on Broadway,Somerville) my car is in ,reasonably and honestly quoted,worked on and back on the road in no time! The staff is qualified,friendly and knowledgeable and its mechanics have been there for years. That tells me they are the best,know what they are doing and love working there and they know my cars history! I feel good knowing my cars are in great hands at Teele Square Auto!!
Love this place! I was recommended here by a couple friends who also had had good experiences here and I was not disappointed. I have a good friend who owns a dealership/ repair shop in Central Maine so at first I would call him to double check their prices and recommendations and each time they actually ended up charging less than my friend's shop as well as other businesses near him. They are always friendly, respectful, and quick to help. I've since moved a few towns over but keep coming back here because I know I can trust them.
Went to Teele Square Auto based off of the reviews here when compared to the reviews of other shops in the area. I was greeted by Eli and considering he is the owner it is great to have someone of his level still at the shop, greeting customers, and performing the work.I had new tires put on my Jeep Wrangler and the service was prompt. My Jeep was all set before the end of the day and have been riding on the new tires for over a week without any issue.
Great local shop you can trust with pricing that is more than fair. I baby my Jeep and do most of my own work but for things I cannot accomplish on my own I will be definitely going to Teele Sqaure Auto.
