I recently took my car in for some routine maintenance and Camilo did a wonderful job. He was kind, knowledgable, and went above and beyond as I really needed help last minute. I'm thankful for this local garage!
Mike, Peter, Marie-Claire and the team and Rose’s automotive are fantastic. It’s hard to find a repair shop you trust, and without a doubt I won’t be taking my car anywhere else. You won’t be disappointed putting your car in their hands!
I had an unexpected situation where a metal part from the road got stuck in my car. I pulled over in a parking lot and happened to be lucky and run into the owner of Rose Automotive there. He approached me and was super kind and helpful. He sent me to his shop across the street where another mechanic took a look right away. Good honest people.
We trust Mike , Rick and the Roses folks - which is perhaps the highest compliment I can think of. They have been proactive and objective in helping us with our cars for many years.
Went there for an inspection last month for mine and my husband’s car. The inspection itself was fine. However, my husband’s arm rest was broken when we got his car back. We thought maybe someone leaned on it too hard and it broke, not maliciously but accidentally. We brought it up to the front desk, who got the person that performed the inspection, and the inspector said he didn’t do it. The front desk person got the shop owner, who said he believed his guy didn’t do it and basically shut us down. The owner said he would look into it and promised to call us, but he never did. At first I was very happy with the service until we noticed the broken arm rest. I will not go back, and am very disappointed with the outcome.

Rose’s is my go-to! The people here are friendly and knowledgeable; and I appreciate that they take the time to explain things clearly and answer all of my questions.
We are Rose's loyalists, but this story needs to be shared as to how Rose's Automotive goes above and beyond. The Friday afternoon before Labor Day weekend, we realized our car wouldn't start and found ourselves in a pickle as our kids were getting out of school with our goal of heading North for the weekend. Thankfully AAA showed up quickly, diagnosed it as a bad starter but still had to call in a tow truck. Meanwhile, my wife was on the phone with Mike and Rick, mentioned the starter and our plan to get away for the weekend. Rose's immediately called in the replacement part (this is around 2pm, they were closing at 5pm, and closed for the holiday weekend), told us they'd do everything they could to repair it. The tow truck arrives and I jump in for the ride to Rose's. The driver couldn't believe Rose's was (1) open and (2) likely able to repair it that day as he told me all the repair shops closed that day at noon and were closed all weekend. Well we got the car there at 3pm and got the call at 4pm that the car was ready to go. Unbelievable service as always and a phenomenal, independent auto repair shop that everyone should visit!
I recently had my Ford serviced at Rose's Automotive after the A/C stopped blowing cold air. Mike the service writer was honest and straightforward in regards to the price and length of time the service would be, both of which ended up being less than expected. I'll be sure to revisit their shop the next time my car needs to be serviced.
3/5 because the people were very pleasant and professional to deal with. Issue is I had a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis that blew through brake light switches. Receipt after receipt showing this and even one that said possible main wiring issue unfortunately that shop is now defunct so I took it to here recommended by a friend and made it clear to the staff there is a wiring issue 9 switches in 4 years isn’t normal. They simply threw another switch in and lights failed the same day I picked the car up two weeks later. Another shop after that correctly diagnosed the brake light wire was drawing excess voltage and heating up and causing switches to melt. Unfortunately I grew tired and ended up selling the car for parts or repair as no shop seems to want to fix it yet I was willing to spend the $$$. It’s a shame because a clean and well maintained high mileage grand marquis is hard to find. I would use this shop again if needed but only for basic services.
Summary: It appears that Rose's lacks the mechanical expertise to correctly perform basic car maintenance and is willing to engage in unethical business practices. In my case, they likely used incorrect torque settings when installing wheels and subsequently warped the front brake rotors. When asked to remedy the mistake, they charged me labor for the repair and warrantied the brake rotors with the manufacturer, altogether avoiding responsibility for the mistake.
Details: We have been using Rose's for the routine maintenance of our two cars for over a year. Rose's installed new front brake rotors in DEC19. This spring as usual, Rose's swapped our snow tires out for our summer tires. Shortly thereafter, the steering wheel started to shake when braking...a tell-tale sign of warped front brake rotors. We took the car into Rose's for an oil change and requested that they fix the issue. Sure enough, the problem was diagnosed as warped front rotors and they replaced them.
They warrantied the rotors, even though evidence would suggest that it was not a defective product (no shaking while braking following brake install). Then, unknown to me, they charged us for the labor to do the brake rotor replacement. When they called to inform me the service was complete, they claimed that they didn't have the total cost. I naively trusted them and provided my credit card. Only later did I review my bill and uncover what they charged me for.
When I called to see if there had been some sort of a mistake, they transferred me three times, told me they were busy, and eventually refused to refund me any portion of the labor required to fix their mistake. This suggests that the charge was intentional and unscrupulous.
Big disappointment here b/c Rose's is so close and I like to support local businesses. Fortunately, there are plenty of other options out there. Save yourself from wasted time and hassle and steer clear of Rose's in favor of a more competent and ethical establishment.
Brought in my 1987 Buick Regal, which was having severe issues turning over. From the moment it arrived, to the moment it came back home, the great staff had the lines of communication open the entire time! Very knowledgeable & friendly, down to earth shop! If I could give them 10 stars I would!
Needed to get a used car pre-purchase inspection done since I was not from the area and Rick was very prompt in responding and explained their inspection process. Unfortunately the car I was looking at did not go through. Definately get a third party car inspection even if it's from a from a dealer.
Been a customer for more than 15 years. Always fair, competent and a pleasure to work with. In a world filled with faceless, corporate operated businesses it's nice to work with a trustworthy local shop whose advice can be relied upon. Thanx to Ed, Rick and Mike and the rest of the gang!
