Super convenient, just make sure you've counted and separated your cans and bottles by type. The more organized you are, the easier the process is for you. I dropped off 2000+ cans and the whole visit took maybe 5 minutes.
Awful, the woman up front told us to put cans in a bag. We did and she got angry and snotty because we didn't set them on the counter and put them in boxes. Then she didn't count the and just handed my friend 12 bucks. Never again!
I've been to a couple different redemption centers over the years. They all have their own rules. I could tell most people that go there knew what to do. So, if you want to know a few things if you've never been to this place, here goes: you must do your own counting. If you have big clear plastic bags for your cans & plastic bottles, great. If not, they'll give you some. You must keep the products sorted (a bag for cans, a bag for smaller plastic bottles & a bag for 2 liter plastic bottles). Their bags can hold 200 cans. I only had cans with me on this trip, so I'm not sure how many bottles will fit (I do have to go back with some plastic bottles so I'll update this when I do). There's NO SPACE inside to do the counting. Do it outside or at home before you go. If you have glass bottles, they must be in boxes, preferably the one you bought them in. Count them & ask a staff member where to put them as those don't go inside. Tie the plastic bags up & bring them inside with your count of EACH BAG & any glass bottles outside! Give them the bags, the amount in each bag. They will tally it all up, show you the amount owed to you & give you the money. It's a process if you don't know the rules. But if you do this regularly, I think this would be a great place to do it!
Pre sort and count your cans and it's a pretty quick transaction. If not they have bags and racks. Not much space if you count there. so you may have to wait a little on busy days.
The staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I don't review many places, but this place deserves the five stars and positive review as they are very nice and quick.
The New Owners & Staff are so nice & helpful, they go above & beyond to make it a pleasant experience, I’m happy they kept some of the former employees, Patty has been there so long it wouldn’t have felt the same without her. I agree the building is in rough shape, but in the short time the current owners have been here they’ve made many improvements to make it look a lot better, its not so dark & dreary as before...keep up the good work, I wouldn’t go anywhere else to make my returns!!
This place is great. They’ll take basically anything as long as it’s not dented. Worth doing if you have a lot of cans. Labels and Things are fine the cans do not have to be bare.
The building itself is a different story. It’s basically falling apart.. smells like a dumpster. The employees are stuck working in gross really unreasonable probably unsafe conditions. They kept a positive attitude, everyone was very nice. Really no reason why you can’t put a little money towards having a nicer return center. There’s plenty of empty space in Lowell and more people would take advantage of it for sure.
Very pleasant staff. Very helpful. Got exactly what I expected for 1,645 bottles and cans. Amazed by anyone giving less than 5 stars. What do you expect to find at a recycling center?
Why anyone would go here is beyond me. I dropped off 64 cans and got $2.80. It's tiny, incredibly gross, smelly, disgusting, and the people there suck. Take your non-refundable recycles to your street curb since every town is recycling nowadays; and the refundable ones to a local liquor store or automated system. Because this hideous place is not worth the trip.
