I have been several times Food is always tasty and served promptly by friendly staff The drinks are well prepared and they offer V1 a local Vodka
They are also Snowmobiler friendly they are located on the local trail., when there's snow
The food is always great at Liston’s. We went tonight for drinks, an app and entrees (perfect dirty martinis, soup on a chilly night, fish cakes and low carb chicken parm). Shenna was wonderful. She was very accommodating, personable and friendly. It is refreshing to have a sever who cares. We are lucky to have a great local spot like this in the hilltowns.
Came here for the second day in a row. Service was top notch. Immediately greeted and welcomed by kind authentic people. The food hit the spot. Came out quick, exactly what I hoped for. It's top notch casual dining. If you like Guinness, you get a good pour.
Let me just say we have been to Listons several times in the past Trucks,Bikes, and snowmobile the atmosphere is great especially since the update. I’m not one to complain in fact this is my first ,but I feel that I must , we were there on Sunday, place was busy but not crazy normal Sunday in September got seated right away ordered the drinks then time for the food order and this is where it went south I informed the waitress at the time of our order amongst other things (Liston Burger)and that I can’t have “Seeds” , Order shows up “Seeds” I say I can’t have seeds and I ordered without seeds she says no you didn’t but I can bring you some bread!!! Bread shows up un-toasted and this where it gets to the point of the crappy review . I say can’t you just toast the bottom of another bun so I can have a burger her reply “ The kitchen will get mad” my reply is I don’t care if they get mad I would like to have a burger without seeds because I can’t have them ,you can even charge me for it !!! She’s says the kitchen is too busy for that and they will get mad .So open faced burger it is .I don’t think she understood that kind of position she put the restaurant in or she didn’t care but she certainly didn’t care about what seeds could have caused ,even after I tried to politely inform her of . She just blew us off and went about her business.Will I go back probably because there isn’t much else out that way .maybe it’s because there’s not much else out that way is why they don’t have to care . !! Ether way not the way to do business especially one that serves food. Just saying!!!
First time at Liston's was great! Delicious burger and fries. LOVE the outdoor seating. What a nice spot in the country. Scenic drive. Service was fast and friendly. Good value. I wish I lived closer, I would go here all the time.
This is such a great spot! We're so glad to live nearby and be able to take advantage of the atmosphere, frequent music and other events. The food is very good bar food (seriously, their burgers are unmatched!) and the beer and drink selection is excellent. The service is always good and the staff are friendly.
Liston’s is one of my favorite local bars! The live music is always fun, the bartenders are friendly, and they’ll even serve you a beer if you show up on your horse!!
Great place with an awesome staff along with the best buffalo wings and one of the best salads I have had at any restaurant. I highly recommend Liston's bar and restaurant.
Ordered the nachos, checked the menu 5 times to make sure there were no black olives on them. The menu did not list them. My nachos came covered in black olives, other than that the food was and always has been good.
Always a good experience! I have only been a couple times since I live out of state but would definitely go back! Food and waitresses are always great! Never tried them before but the fried green beans were awesome!!! And I’m not a big fried person but I would definitely get those again!
I don't know when the new owners took over, but they have made this into an absolute gem. Loved coming here after being away for many years.And this is no longer the dive bar that it was known for. Great food great drinks great people
Update 12/27/24..WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! We love this spot, always have but we will not be back for awhile. We went to sit at the bar and there was only one seat. The server offered us a table that we could sit at and as soon as two seats were open at the bar she would move us. Well two seats opened, 2 people walked in and they got the seats. When we asked the server she went to the bartender/owner and she lied, she didn't tell her what she promised us so they offered us no resolution. We were very upsey over this and left. I even spoke to the owner who offered nothing and stood by the lying server.
Great little spot. The drink specials are perfect and the food is always good. Update: get lots of locals in here and we are starting to be a regular. They were out of a few things today and the food was not as good as it usually is but still a great SPOT. UPDATE April 7 2024 still a great spot. We truly love going here. Only thing I can say is, to check the pricing on the drinks before you order them, cocktails are priced high for a spot that has always had fair pricing. Next time I will stick to a beer.
Great service, well done Erin!, friendly and perfect for the atmosphere of this cozy road side restaurant. They serve simple goods but taken seriously. Well prepared! Clean restaurant. They over delivered, great find we will be back
The food here is surprisingly good, given they're the only restaurant in like a ten mile radius and could probably get away with a lot less. The prices are excellent, the cocktails are good, and the draft list does the job. The space itself is lovely, we typically hang out outside when we go here, and it is a good environment for energetic toddlers, if you have the ability to control them and keep them out of people's hair.
The food and atmosphere is great. The Mac n cheese with crispy chicken is fantastic. The Listions burger is delicious..... and absolutely the best hand cut French Fries, in western mass ... maybe the whole state.
Beer is good also!
We won a gift pack to Liston's for an event they had during the summer. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, the place was busy but not overwhelming. Seated right away, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. The French Onion Soup is just fantastic! Ordered a couple different wing flavors and neither disappointed. Wings were hot and meaty, served with blue cheese. The fries were superb and hot. All in all, we had a great time and will definitely be returning. It's an hour for us but well worth the trip.
Food was good but they need to lay off the salt! Let the patrons put on their own. Lemonade was too sweet. They have daily special in both appetizers and entrée. Bathrooms were amazingly clean and spacious. Seating both inside and outside. Def will visit again
5 stars all around delicious fresh food; the hand cut fries were crispy!!! Multiple vegetarian options. Best fried pickles I've had. Service was stellar and the atmosphere, decor and everything was great. Definitely keeping Liston's on the A list.
We love going to Listons, been going for years and love the new building. They have outdoor seating and are dog friendly. We got wings and onion rings the last time with wing sauce on the side. Just a great little out of the way place, worth stopping.
Hilltown bar in Worthington, local and cozy. Friendly staff, big food menu. Lots of yummy options, from bar food to delicious burgers.. On 143, large parking space, handicap accessible. Known as the "Highest Bar in Massachusetts," this place has a homey vibe. Large alcohol selection if thats your jam.
Loved the atmosphere, a great place to unwind and enjoy some drinks and food. The Rubin was honestly the best one I’ve ever had and the fresh cut fries were delicious. Our waitress was so friendly and the food was delivered quickly! A great place to go with both your friends or family!
Lunch was delicious, we had the Reuben with hand cut fries, home made fried pickles and grilled chicken wrap. The place is new, warm and welcoming. Great beer selection. The place was beautifully decorated. The food was fast and fresh and great service. Definitely worth checking out!
