Absolutely love everyone at Indie Auto. I recently moved to the area, and both wanted and needed a new mechanic(s) that I could actually TRUST to work on my Volvo. Extremely happy with everything about my experience.
I brought my 2001 V70 T5 to them with the intent to stop the many oil leaks, which they did very successfully. What I already asked was a somewhat large job, but they replaced many other worn and leaking parts while already in there. Even being sent pictures of the car as it was worked on with updates was awesome. Very good quality work, Greg and Brian know EVERYTHING Volvo & Saab. My new go-to, I can't recommend everyone at Indie Auto more! 10/10.

These guys know Volvos inside and out. Amazing workmanship. Fixed an issue on my Volvo that I thought was more severe than it turned out to be thanks to their expertise and Volvo software. A trustworthy business.
Greg and Brian are knowledgeable, professional Volvo mechanics. You can count on quality work, they won't scam you or cut corners. Fair, consistent pricing. Always busy so you have to book a few weeks out.
If you own a Volvo, I know of no other shop to take it to. In fact, we would like to replace our 2014 Volvo XC70 T6 Polestar with a 2020 Audi S8 plus (as much as we love the XC70, Volvo has nothing that comes close to the S8 Plus), we may very well buy another Volvo just because Indie will be there to repair it once it is out of warranty (we like to keep our cars beyond the warranty to even out depreciation cost).
Greg and Brian are phenomenal mechanics. They specialize in fixing Volvos. They are very knowledgeable in what they do. Besides this their prices are not exorbitant in comparison to dealerships. They are also good at responding to customer needs via email and phone calls.
Simply put - You cannot do any better than these guys. Large or small jobs, they will only do what is needed for your safety and driving satisfaction...no more no less.
Worth noting: I am a long-time Swedish car enthusiast and have found it hard to find a shop dedicated to doing the right thing by us SAAB and/or Volvo owners. Of course I would like to say I moved to Western MA, just to be closer to Indie Auto, but that would be a bit of an extrapolation...

The guys at Indie Auto are incredibly professional and skilled at fixing Volvo's and Saab's. From oil changes to major repairs like headgaskets or bevel gear replacement.
Indie Auto is the only place I bring my Volvo when in need. Greg/Brian are exceedingly honest and have inordinate expertise and knowledge of Volvo cars. Refreshing in that they'll talk with you about your car, explain issues and the best fix to keep your Volvo happy. Love Volvo's but frankly, I'd buy another simply 'cause of their service/business alone. No one knows your Volvo better and you can trust them with it in their hands! Highly recommend....
Outstanding, if you need Volvo service in Hampshire County go here. Very reasonable labor rates ($98/hour!) and hours charged, and they gave expert and detailed answers to other questions I had both times I was there.
It almost feels redundant to leave another five star review, but this place is truly the best shop in the region if you drive a Swedish car.
Greg and Brian are incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. There's no guesswork--if they give you a diagnosis, you can count on it being accurate. If they do a repair, you can count on the problem being resolved. If there are other problems lurking in your car, this shop will find them.
Above all else, they are extremely honest--a rarity in the field of automotive maintenance. They cut to the chase and tell you what you need, what you can wait to fix, what to keep an eye on, and what can be lived with. They truly care about offering a high quality of service and keeping their customers safe, not just about making money.
I trust this shop 100% and have no reservations about recommending them to anyone. Because of their quality of service, there is a high level of demand. Be sure to be proactive about booking an appointment. It may take a few days to get your car into the shop, but it's well worth it.
Simply, the best Volvo repair place we've ever been to. Super knowledgeable, quick, and honest, they are awesome. Anytime we've had work done here, they've taken the time to fully explain the issues and keep us informed as to what's going on. As a Volvo owner, I'm so thankful to have such a truly valuable resource nearby.

Had a a problem with my XC-70 and after hearing my description of the problem they asked if I could come-by the shop the same day because I could do damage by continuing to drive it. I showed up at 3:30 on a Friday, they diagnosed the problem and offered to fix it right away. By 5:00 I was on my way. I felt like I had just gone to the doctor! Very professional, very concerned and very trustworthy. One of the best shops I have ever used!
The best part of owning a used volvo is my mechanic. I had the pleasure of meeting Nate and his team when I was looking at possibly buying a used volvo. They looked at the car (I was late by 20 minutes, but happily they still took me in) and told me what was wrong with it. things that needed to be fixed now, in the near future and down the road. They explained every detail to me and what the costs would be. I left them feeling like a could trust them. Once I bought the car I had them do all the work. Again, I was treated fair, explained everything to me and I can honestly say that I will always own a Volvo because I have never met a mechanic shop like this. They are honest people that go above and beyond what you would expect from anyone, never mind a mechanic.
I've got a fussy Volvo that's always needing something fixed. Nate and his team are excellent mechanics, and kind, patient people. They are honest guys who know their stuff! I would recommend them to Volvo drivers any day.
