Renowned in the area for its 'library' 'take it/leave it' 'clothing' sheds and one of the top recycling stations in the region. Staff is very friendly and helpful. For Leverett and Shutesbury residents only.

Not just a place to bring refuse, the Leverett Transfer Station is a Town gathering place complete with "swap shops" (sheds) for exchanging Books, CDs and DVDs, Clothes, and Household Goods including kitchenware, toys, working electronics, etc. The Leverett Transfer Station also provides a central place for local groups to raise funds. The Rattle Snake Gutter Trust maintains a permanent shed for can collection and other local groups and organizations, such as the Leverett Elementary School and 4-H Club, hawk spontaneously based on fundraising opportunities that arise throughout the year. It is both functional and fun, and THE place to go to catch-up with friends and neighbors!
