ATTENTION PRIUS AND HYBRID OWNERS! There is an alternative to going to the dealership.
Every repair shop that I brought my Prius to told me that I would have go to a dealership, as they don’t deal with hybrids. (obviously, much much much more expensive).. I was so fortunate to have a friend that referred me to Leo and Son’s (hybrid specialist) or I would never have known they were an option for me. The quality of their work speaks for itself, their customer service far exceeds any dealership or other repair shop I’ve ever been to (and there were many and I have had many vehicles in my many years) and the price was less than half of what a dealership would’ve charged me!
So grateful and thank you so much, Matt, for going without a doubt above and beyond but any customer can possibly expect.
Beware Tesla owners...I went in because I was told that since I was a new customer I wouldn't be charged anything to have the car inspected and diagnosed. I was promptly charged $200 for that inspection. In addition, I had to put down over $700 as a deposit to fix minor parts to the car. I went to Tesla service center and it ran less than $500. Finally, I was able to sit down in the center and have snacks. This place told me I couldn't wait in their waiting room. "That's not going to work for us". Tesla owners steer clear....find the service center that will work for you.
Had a great experience with Matt and his team getting the AC in my Accord repaired. Diagnosed the problem quickly, no upselling of unnecessary things, and saved me hundreds of dollars compared to what the dealership wanted to charge me to fix the issue.
I have nothing but nice things to say about Matt & his guys. They were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They were reliable and responsive in communicating with me both by phone and text.
We worked out a plan of action and they followed it to the letter.

Brought my traverse in for new tires. When I got it back the tire pressure monitoring system was giving an error. He said to bring it back later and he'd take care of it. Whe. I brought it back he said it would be almost $600 like it didn't happen after their tire change. Not happy

They have a fantastic text message system and an easy-to-use website where you can book appointments. Plus, they send you a digital receipt, so you won't lose it, and it's eco-friendly too.
Additional perks: They offer WiFi for guests and have a comfortable waiting area where you can charge your phone or laptop and work remotely if needed, or just check social media or read some of their many funny quotes. Time flew by while I waited. There's also a clean bathroom for clients.
These guys are awesome. I’ve brought my wrx here twice and have been met with nothing but efficiency and transparency. They get me in the shop as soon as possible and do very good work. They also text you exactly what is being done, and what it will cost. No gimmicks or strings attached. Matt is very knowledgable and kind as well. Definitely will be using Leo and Sons for my future repair/diagnostic needs.

I had my vehicle serviced by Leo's in Lawrence Ma. last week and I knew with confidence, I brought it to the right people without question.
Leo L. was the founder and Matt his son has been stepping in to carry on the business, either way, Leo and Matt and their whole team of Service Technicians are professionals.
Leo's has a very clean facility, properly trained people, skills, equipment, software and personable communication skills and generations of customers who love and trust them to fix our vehicles. In a world where there are hacks popping up daily and going out of business, Leo and his son Matt have stayed on top of the automotive issues to know Combustion Engines to EV and evolving technologies.

Great communication and provides details of issues and repairs. My check engine light went on and my car stalled. Matt diagnosed the issue and it only was an air hose became loose. He placed the air hose back and tested. Only charge was for diagnostics, which I thought was fair. Also provided a complimentary check.
An honest Mechanic.
So I had incredibly bad luck. Blowing out two different tire in two separate day. These guys took care of both. One tire had to be replaced the second one was patched. Quick and courteous. Sent me pictures via an app through text. It was great to see a small shop stay with the technology and the times.
I had an excellent experience with getting my car repaired at Leo and Sons and would highly recommend. The customer service was great. Matt was very patient and took the time to explain the work needed for my car. They provided a very detailed diagnostic report with pictures, which was very helpful. After bringing my car to the dealer and thinking it was the end for my car, Leos made the repairs in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. I will definitely go back to Leo and Sons if I have any other issues with my Hybrid Nissan Altima.

My sons engine light has been on went to a couple other shops prior including Jeep dealer in Methuen they wanted 1200 just to diagnose the problem ‘robbery’ - Leo & Son’s (Leo and Matt) were honest and resolved the repair quickly at a very reasonable price, very impressed by the tool they use to communicate with the customers, included repair overview, pictures and price breakdown - take your car here they will not disappoint- I’m so happy I selected Leo’s & Son’s what a find! Leo & Sons was a great auto shop. Got my car to pass state inspection and prices were much more reasonable compared to the Honda dealership. This will be my go-to mechanic from now on - trustworthy, great communication, and most importantly great service!
Matt thoroughly diagnosed my hybrid. He composed a detail reports with pictures taken showing the process at every steps, along with recommendations for repairs. All within the promised time. I chose to have the shop doing the repair as well. Matt also took pictures of the repair process, including removal of old part and its replacement. I hope I really don't have any other problems with my hybrid. If I do, I will come back to Leo & Sons with confidence. If they are closer to where I live, I'd come to them for all of my car problems. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for hybrid and all other problems. Professional, personal, and very transparent!

We had Leo & Sons upgrade the drive battery for our 215 Leaf from 24kWh to 40kWh. We worked with Matthew Lamontagne who is very knowledgeable with connections all over (New Zealand). Matt secured a total-loss donor car and thoroughly evaluated its battery as suitable. The work was done quickly and with the agreed upon timing. Excellent communication (Email + phone as needed) and beyond excellent online documentation of the work as proposed, as being done, recommend services and final result (and bill :-). Lots of before, during and after pictures shared out, as well as any specific measurement results. A loaner car was made available for the whole multi-day process.
Leo & Son, I am satisfied for the repair of the brake of my Kia Sorento. I was tried about the cost but when I saw all the brand new spare parts that you replaced for the brake issues, I was happy. Thanks and keep going with your hard and honest work.

I have used Leo and Sons a few times. I was new to the area in 2019, and we were lucky enough to find them on the first try. We googled, they had good reviews, so we tried them out. We haven't been to anyone else sense. They use modern technology, which makes the visit so much easier (reviewing services/cost via email + phone). They give you the power to decide what you want to happen, and what you are okay waiting for. Everyone is nice, and they are very efficient. Will continue going to them in the future for maintenance needs, or general services like state inspection.
We wanted to upgrade our Nissan Leaf battery, due to our current one needing replacement. Matt was great to deal with. He was professional, clearly communicated and documented the work. We are not local to his shop but so his efforts made this process feel comfortable over the phone, via email and the Internet.
I have brought my vehicles to Leo & Sons Auto Repair for about 10 years. They are courteous and accommodating, helping me set up the right time to bring the car to them. They are very good about explaining issues with the car so that I understand what the car needs. The prices are reasonable. I like that they have been AAA approved. I enjoy recommending them to people I know, because of the high quality service they provide.
I took my 100% electric 2013 Nissan Leaf to them because of prior great reviews, and they diagnosed (as I had suspected) a broken heater for the cabin. They ordered a new part on my request and had it in short order. Although they needed the car for a few days, they left me a good Prius loaner car that minimized disruption to my daily life (especially since I'm a hour away). They did the work for a fair price and the heater has worked great - especially important for the unusually cold winter days we've had here in eastern Mass. this winter. I also appreciate they could do advanced diagnostics for my electric car and share them with secured online reports that include their diagnostic data and photos. Bravo, Leon & Sons!
Leo & Sons is very professional. I went to them based on their reviews and proximity to my house. I go for regular oil changes. My car was making noise when starting up every now and then and based off of a video I took of the issue they were able to identify the problem (timing belt was loose) and fix it. No more noise! Very reliable folks. I feel confident taking my car there for any issue.
Leo and Sons came highly recommended for any electrical work I needed done in my jeep. They have lived up to what I've been told about them. They go above and beyond every time. I have had to have electrical work done 3 x now in different areas throughout the last couple of years. Leo and Sons is the best! I moved to this area a couple years ago and I was not looking forward to going through the process of finding a trustworthy mechanic.
