As a young Boy Scout in the early 1960’s, I spent a week every summer with Troop 150 (Chicopee, MA) at the Horace A. Moses Scout Reservation. We always camped in the platform tents at Camp Koash. I have to say it was the most joyous time of my youth. So many indelible, happy memories come back to me with great frequency. "Mickey the Waiter Hater" in charge of the mess hall where each troop had to supply waiters for daily meals. It was like being in the Army for us young Boy Scouts. What fun. It makes me wish I could go back to those carefree days!
We were here for FractalFest 2023. Well-maintained grounds, outhouses, and facilities. Reservation staff were friendly and outgoing. A sprawling network of hiking paths and bike-friendly roads twist throughout the diverse landscape.
Stayed here for summer camp with my scout troop for a week and we had a blast! The staff is awesome and super friendly. The program was well laid out and any last minute changes were announced well and quickly. There wasn't a single thing for me to complain about honestly it was great.
What a great scout camp. My son loves to come here. This is his second year of summer camp, but we've also been to webelos woods and other troop activities at this site. It's a beautiful camp and the do a really good job for the kids.
Moses is a very good camp. With many camp improvement projects happening, it is a little messy but it will be great once done. My troop had a great time for the week they were there. Water front is very nice. Shooting sports, archery, axe throw, climbing wall, cope course, many things to do. Sign up your sons, daughters, check it out. Learn life skills that you cannot learn from most other activities.
Beautiful huge well cared scout camp it was a pleasure being there I went for chainsaw certification training great instructors. Ranger is a cool guy. I hope you go back again soon.
My son grew up attending Scout Camp here, later joining the staff of Moses,which became more like family than staff. The dedication by staff to the enrichment of adolescents was undeniable.Growing into adulthood isn't easy for everyone. Yet here the scouts grew up.They stepped out of their comfort zone,met new young people ,learned to complete tasks together,to advocate for each other, to made decisions and to accept the consequences of those decisions,
away from their core family group under the umbrella of Mother Nature. Without realizing it,they were actually practicing the tenets of scouting to be remembered always. Walking the Moses trails in current day is to remember all those who gave time, their efforts and dedication so tirelessly.May what they imparted live on in all of you who pass thru the Horace Moses Scout Camp gates.
Great experience for youth, well maintained grounds. Been in business for ever everyone has a positive experience, even adults. True scouting traditions followed.
Camp moses is beautiful, and they are consistently working to improve the camp. The pond is clean, there are a variety of activities, and the staff is incredibly helpful.
We had a great time. The place is peaceful and serene. The activities for the scouts are great. The ceremony for taking the flag down in the evening was respectable and brought tears to my eyes .

I'm a boy scout myself and I just left this place with my troop and we went to the brand new site to sleep. It's called Eagles landing and we built a gateway, and a fence. But anyway it's just so fun to explore through the woods and everything it's just amazing there.
I loved this place and i always will. There's plenty of adventure and excitement going on up there, from fishing to sled racing to merit badges to swimming to snowball fights and just plain fooling around. This place is awesome
Our troop had a cabin reservation and somehow we got bumped. The ranger did accommodate us and the weekend turned out great. dont trust the reservation system.
No place l rather be in the summer winter, fall and spring it doesn't matter. With all the improvement. The sky is the no limits.???????⚽?.There is nothing a scout troop can't over come⛈??❄⚡??.
