I gave 1 star but is supposed to be -5 stars, I just Talked with an employee there, he said his name is Tony, and yes, how the others review said , that animal was trying to charge me with $280 in the beginning, when I asked what that amount he said will be $200 and then is supposed I have to pay $175 he said he made a mistake and hung up the phone, ahhh, the fee has to pay in cash, suspicious no? Be careful because the just want to stole your money.
I was at the doctor’s office for 20 minutes. This tow place is a 20 minute drive from the doctor’s office. It’s safe to say that they were waiting in the lot and did not have to do an “unloaded drive” just for my car and yet they charged for it. It does not get any more predatory than this. I won’t get into the office service, the comments just about covered it.
Absolutely horrible .. tows my friends car . My friend immediately calls them upon seeing car is gone . They answer immediately and say it’s in Allston, to go pick it up and it’ll be $280… now not even 30 minutes after the phone call . No one is answering , no person in sight . Car behind a locked fense. Open 24/7 , assistance 24/7 … yea. Right.
Fix y’all operations asap.
I would definitely give this place 0 star if possible.They towed the car without any street sign,and lies around. The staff told us someone call the tow on us but finally it turned out it towed by the D& Gcompany.
I had my car towed after I started having issues with my engine. The AAA service was quick, and my car arrived at the dealership in providence within reasonable time!
I would give this place zero stars if possible. They are very sketchy and hide their faces inside behind a privacy glass. They demanded cash only as their ATM is broken (I've read every review now and it seems like its been broken for months). They told me over the phone it would be 175$ then in person it became 170$ and then they did not give me change back as they only charged 169.51$. They also do not post their no parking signs ahead of time in accordance to city laws. I believe they have some sort of deal with certain areas as the place I was towed from refused to release camera footage to me since myself and 4 other witnesses did not see posted signage on the morning I was towed. VERY SKETCHY COMPANY AND NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED.
No one is expecting a towing company to have rave reviews because no one likes getting their car towed. However what concerns me about these folks is their shady business practices once you do go to pay and pick up your car. If they tow your car on behalf of the city, you will need a receipt in order to dispute the ticket and hopefully get a refund of the towing fees if you prevail in the dispute. But their receipt includes a waiver of all liability including any damage to your car. They will try to hold on to your credit card or license until you sign this combined receipt and waiver. I told them the waiver provision in the receipt was not legal. I was willing to sign the receipt and acknowledge that they had given me back my vehicle with all my possessions but drew a line through the waiver clause. That's when the big manager came out and told me they would not give me a receipt at all. In retrospect, I should have signed it, cross out the waiver and immediately taken a photo for myself. Then let them decide if they want to illegally try to hold my ID after they were already paid. They will also try to demand your phone number when there's no legal reason why they need it. Since leaving their office, I've gotten at least 10 spam calls... coincidence?
I appealed the towing with the city and prevailed. If they tow from that street near Packards Corner with the faded Thursday street cleaning sign, the city has been made aware that the sign is not readable. And because Street turns from Allston to Brookline one block in, there are no other signs warning about the street cleaning.
In my experience, D & G Towing operates in a highly predatory way. They seem to poach on any opportunity to tow a car, regardless of circumstance, and it feels less about providing a service and more about squeezing as much money as possible out of people who are already in a stressful situation.
The business practices come across as opportunistic and profit-driven rather than customer-focused. Instead of professionalism or fairness, the priority appears to be maximizing fees and taking advantage of technicalities. Dealing with them was frustrating, disheartening, and left a very negative impression.
I would strongly caution anyone to be careful, as this company gave me the sense that revenue matters far more to them than ethics, transparency, or basic customer respect. This was one of the worst towing experiences I’ve had.
0 stars if I could. So unprofessional, bunch of clowns. They towed my car because construction was being done(fine) but they didn't know where they towed it too. After paying for the towing fee they made me walk around outside looking for my car. They didn't believe me when I said it wasn't there. "Are you sure it isn't out there?" was said probably 4 times. After 5 minutes of waiting they say (unsympathetically) my car is actually on N Beacon street over a mile away and I have to go pick it up from there. Then, one of the workers starts getting sassy with us when we are confused about why it is there and how we are supposed to pick it up from a locked secondary tow lot. No one knows what they're doing, most unprofessional place.
The guy who towed me was respectful and flexible when the original shop they towed me too couldn’t replace my tire, they brought me to a location that could. Great service!
My car battery died while in the lot, they charged $35 for a jump. Cool, I said I'll have someone bring over a portable battery to jump it instead. They said that wasn't allowed for "insurance reasons", they'd have to tow the car outside the lot for me to do that. I paid the $35 and they proceeded to take their own portable battery and jumped my car in the lot. Dude at the desk saw me taking a normal phone video outside on the security camera, got very suspicious and asked why I was recording. Do your job man. Foul place with dishonest business
ZERO stars. Incredibly unprofessional and rude. I can’t believe that they are still in business. They will overcharge you for towing fees and yell at you for questioning the charges. These people are going straight to hell.

This tow company is cash only, even though they have stickers on their own window indicating that they accept cards. That’s blatantly misleading. They just want to force you to use the nearby ATM and get stuck with paying an extra ATM fee on top of the already ridiculous charges.
They also charged me a “24-hour storage fee” even though my car had only been there for about 2 hours. I went to pick it up as soon as I found out it was towed and still got billed for a full 24 hours.
Their towing methods are just as bad. I’ve witness them tow car with the wheels still in contact with the street, which is highly damaging and shows a total lack of care for people’s vehicles. There was no empathy, no attempt to explain, no basic courtesy—just pay up and leave.
If I could give no stars I would. The workers here were extreme unprofessional and unsympathetic. They refused to answer questions. They refused to let me jump my own car and instead insisted on charging me more money to jump it, even though I had already paid to get my car out of the lot and had brought my own jumping supplies with me. They are trying to make a quick buck off you anyway they can.
When I first called they told me they didnt have the car. My partner called and told him the same thing. We got there and it was there. We called again to tell them we were literally staring at it, they sounded dissapointed (?). Their only atm machine doesnt work and the only way to pay is cash. They took our cash and then told the next unfortunate souls that they didnt have change for them so they could pay 30 over if they were desparate enough. The car displayed a brake malfunction and abs malfunction when returned.
Hangs up several times, will lie about cost and then refuse to give proper change when you point out the difference, predatory and deceitful towing practices, refuses reasonable accommodations for disabled patrons, incredibly rude and short. Lies about who gave them authorization to even tow
Arguably the worst experience i’ve ever had. My car got towed because it was parked on a “street cleaning” day (which is stupid in general and the street still looks bad). I called to pick it up and they said I can come anytime before 11pm and pay $170. I get there around 9:45 and it was a ghost town. I called and they said it would be 30 minutes, it wasn’t. I was outside by myself in a sketchy ally for almost an hour. Absolutely ridiculous. And then to top it off, I had to pay in cash (their ATM is a piece of garbage also) because my plates were out of state which makes no sense at all. This place sucks.
This company accepted a call from AAA, then claimed the truck would not fit inside the garage. I told them several times I had previous trucks come out for this tow without an issue. The truck did not even approach the garage to check the size, just drove two streets over and refused. So frustrating - terrible service from Elder G
Had a blow out on Storrow Dr in a rain storm while on the way to my mother in CICU at MGH. The driver was so fast and super helpful. Took my keys and sent me on my way to the hospital. My car was delivered to the dealership with not trouble. D&G was wonderful in my time of need.
Driver was patient and helpful. He ensured that I arrived at the dealership and knew where to park my car before leaving. My only reservations is that he didn’t come to check my tires beforehand and inflate the flat tire before asking me to drive on it.
Illegally Towed our car while shopping at Walgreens in East Boston. Then held it for Randsom of the 260.50. Why the random number you might ask. Well its 250$ for stealing our legally parking car. Then if you don't have the cash. They kindly provide a ATM. But not so fast you can only take out 200$ at a time. So they turn the screws for every penny of the blood money they steal from you
When you least expect a breakdown that's when it happens in AAA always has your back. Courteous and professional drivers arrive to take care of your needs but only $10 a month the services they offer are boundless why wouldn't you want a membership

Incredibly rude over the phone. Got hung up on after being told a “manager” would call me the next day, because I noticed that they ruined my car traction with the way they towed my car and didn’t want to take responsibility for it. Got defensive and began to yell at me because I simply asked for them to repeat my phone number back to me to confirm that they had it. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
My car was towed due to street cleaning and when I went to get my car this is the scene I encountered and I will complain about it if no one compensates for my damage and my car was left for 2 hours I was charged $35 per day for parking this is a terrible company don't forget to check when your car is towed
I don't trust this company, they damaged my car during the towing process and they don't have professional staff. They behave disrespectfully and rudely. This business's tax records, cash and card transactions must be examined, and the employees' legal permits and security cameras must be examined.
This company towed me for street cleaning today after street cleaning was done for the day. Street cleaning was done at noon and I was ticketed and towed at 12:10pm. They held my van hostage until I paid for being parked legally. Since I didn't park there until just after noon Basically my van was stolen then held for ransom or even I would like to call this extortion. I reluctantly paid but then after to make matters worse the girl in the office tried stealing my keys from me until I signed an illegal waiver and release. She even tried lying to me telling me street cleaning is from noon to six. Unfortunately I just needed my truck back so I could get back to work so I had no choice but to take the abuse. Then to twist the knife some more they made me wait another 20 minutes to unblock my truck. First guy came out and pretended a bit then a while later the 2nd guy actually unblocked it. All very cute but we'll see what a judge thinks about it in court. I'm beside myself seeing things like this still happening this day and age and with having a contract with the city. I will not be letting this one go. Working with my attorney now to take legal action. Even if it costs me more out of pocket I want to make sure no one else gets ripped off like this. Hopefully they lose their contract with the city.
