I recently had an exceptional experience with American Towing, specifically with Leroy Dewey, and I couldn't resist sharing my positive experience. My car was deeply entrenched in ice, frozen mud and snow. A local towing company refused to come out since my driveway wasn't plowed. So I called American Towing who quoted the same price even though they were located 30 miles away. Leroy went beyond expectations, offering prompt and professional service to help me. He even arrived in one hour, an hour earlier than he had estimated. His courteous demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile made the entire process seamless and stress-free. Overall, I highly recommend American Towing for their reliability, affordability, and excellent customer service. Thank you, Leroy, for your outstanding assistance!

Was trying to explain over phone the situation and asking how much it would cost, the guy over on the phone was very rude, and hit me with a “I cant help you” and hung up the phone, even though I just asked if he could hear me. Very unprofessional!

I got a flat front tire on my 2020 Subaru Forester in North Adams, MA. I got out my donut spare only to find my tire had locking lug nuts; there was NO removal tool only my glove box! Luckily, I thought, I had AAA Plus to flatbed me home to Harwinton, CT; I called AAA at about 12:30 PM, and they confirmed that they had a driver to bring me home, and it would arrive in about 90 minutes. 90 minutes came and went, so o called again. The receptionist told me another two hours. The original tower had declined the tow! Triple AAA had a dispatcher who really knew how to get action. He even offered to contact an Uber to drive me back to CT at 9:30 PM, and get my car towed in the morning by American Towing in Lanesborough, MA, which is what we did. I declined the Uber, nice offer though it was. The next morning, I received a call from AAA and Leroy Dewey, owner/ operator and we arranged a pickup time and his assurance of phone updates on TOA. Right on time, Leroy arrived with the flatbed and we were en route to CT. In two hours we arrived and Leroy delivered my car safely. Leroy Dewey is professional, congenial, knowledgeable, and reassuring in his ability. At the end of the tow as we were finishing the paperwork, I asked Leroy for a business card and he gave me several, remarking that “We tow in seven states.” I strongly and wholeheartedly recommend American Towing & Transport and Leroy Dewey whenever road service or a tow is needed! In my estimation (and I drove road recovery vehicles years ago), there is no one better or more reliable out there. Absolute professional service, highly recommended! I had to pick up my Ford Excursion from a repair job that ended badly. Leroy picked me up and when we got there, both batteries were gone! He quickly recovered my disabled truck and brought it to a friend’s garage. He not only delivered it, he also skillfully placed it in an out of way place not to impair the lot. I am grateful and pleased with what should have been a bad day. Leroy made a bad situation much better! I would give more stars if I could!

Literally drove by my car not once but twice while I stood outside and tried to wave them down. Hands down the most useless company on the planet. Mazda service sent them - take my advice and make them send anyone else. Otherwise you'll spend three hours on the side of the road like I did.

AAA couldn't find someone to tow our vehicle. Waited 8 hours. So we called American Towing . He came out and towed 78 miles for us. Very nice and helpful. VERY reasonable. Lifesaver. This is who you call for a tow. Thank you so much.

My Chevy pickup truck started ticking and skipping. From West Pittsfield I hoped I could make it to Berdards Cheshire but was afraid to cause more damage. My HERO!!!! broke down at 7pm … called aaa and got sent a company called A & M. They called and I told them the jump pack won’t work I need towed. They showed up and said yup you need a tow! Ya thanks I know … then that’s guy said I’ll come back in the morning and told me to find a ride … meanwhile I had my two year old in the car! Called AAA back and finally got an operator that cared and she called someone who would take care of me she said and OOOOO THANK YOU FOR CALLING THIS COMPANY !! this man was so kind and literally was like “ok no problem” to everything I needed! And had great conversation the entire hour ride for my tow! Hardworking and good man! Thank you for being my family’s hero tonight on FATHERS DAY! he also drove like an hour to get to me! If the first time around AAA had sent him I would have been home at 9 lol I’m home thanks to this guy ! And so greatful this man made the troop out to save me and then another hour out of his way to bring me home!

I was on vacation from florida didnt expect to be needing to be towed, but break dowbs happen. a An eldery couple suggested call this company, i did, the drive was there in no time to tow my cae. He was reasonablity pricedand professional, could not expect anything more. The driver made me as comtable like we were family,instead of strangers. I had a tire blow out the other day, and having used American Towing before, I knew who to call. Leroy was there within 15 mins, and had me up and driving again within a matter of minutes. Didn't charge me some kind of outrageous price. I will continue to call them for all my car needs considering it's a older vehicle and I have issues from time to time.

Friendly, quick, affordable and reliable service. I broke down the other night on a back road with not the best phone service and was worried I’d have to sit out in the middle of nowhere in the dark while waiting for a tow but they were there in less than a half hour.
