They were closed during posted open hours. Looks messy inside, but definitely lots to look through.

Shopkeeper finessed a kid out of $10 from a used knife, sold it to him for $30, it’s about $20 brand new. Place was also cluttered as hell, I almost knocked stuff over on multiple occasions and there is little leeway for people to get around you.

I was very rudely told don’t touch, that’s not for sale! Not a good owner! Not helpful whatsoever! Don’t go here!

I walked into this establishment one afternoon. And the man behind the counter was scolding this elderly woman. RUDELY!! Because apparently she walked over the line to grab something off of the counter. I mean, the place is a mess. There's a million things all over the place. How is this woman supposed to know where the cut off point was? He Was so rude And barked at her about "I wouldn't go in your living room and take something off of the bureau" What the heck was he talking about? And the poor elderly woman was embarrassed and afraid and took her pocketbook and walked out! It was despicable , and I'll never walk in there again.

Very disappointed in this place. Stuff piled up everywhere. Very little organization. When I asked about a specific item(s), was told he had them/it somewhere but then couldn’t find it. I heard him telling another person about something rare he had just got into the store and pointed to it laying cockeyed on a pile of “stuff “. If the item was so rare, why wasn’t it handled more carefully? Not worth the time to visit this place.

I've been to alot of antique shops and this one is by far the worst experience I've ever had. Everything is over price and owner was beyond rude. Gave him back the one item I wanted to buy and walked out.

Fire marshal should shut this place down! What a mess, nothing priced. If you like it…it’s a fortune! Big waste of my time! Don’t waste your time going here..

Great antique store! Owner is friendly, genuinely enjoys his shop and collecting, pleasant to visit with! So many items we had to walk around the store at least 5X to see everything! Just ask the owner about upstairs items if you're looking for something specific! A must stop place to visit!

What a huge and eclectic pile of stuff. Owner is a true hoarder. No cutesy arrangements of kitsch to attract the tourists. Piles of great stuff just begging for you to dig through and find the treasure you must have.

Went to Buzzard's Bay Antiques to buy chairs for my son's apartment. The owner was so helpful and pleasant. We found 4 beautiful chairs and got a great deal on them. Great experience and will definitely return! ???

This place is terrible, the place is overwhelming it is full of broken and dirty crap. The prices are way to high. The owner is extremely rude. He mocked my grandmother.and It reeks of mill dew. Don’t go, you’ll just waste your time. Go 30 minutes to the Yarmouth antique center the staff is friendlier and has a much better selection.

Owner is great! Bundled a deal together for a great price with a few items we loved.

I wrote the following review in August of '24 when I visited this store but never posted it. It gets one star because you can't leave a zero-star rating. Most antique stores are a bit disorganized, but this is a whole other level. Most of the items are in very poor condition, and many are broken and/or incomplete. Most of the items in the store are not priced, and the items with prices are priced way too high. I went to the electronics room where I saw many old stereo components just thrown around and tons of vinyl LPs in unplayable condition at collectable prices. A total rip-off! I did find some old Life magazines in decent condition in a box clearly marked $2.00 each. I chose five magazines and brought them to the counter. I told the man behind the counter, presumably the owner, that I have five Life magazines. He said “That will be $25.” I said that the tag on the box said that they cost $2.00 each. He said no and when I insisted, he challenged me to show him. We walked to where the magazines were located, and I showed him the box with the paper taped to it which reads “$2.00 each.” He said “That doesn’t apply to me, that was already on the box when I took them in.” I said “thanks anyway” and started to walk to the front to leave the store. I was not about to pay more than the marked price! As I was leaving, I told a couple of customers to be careful because he will try to charge more than the marked price for anything they might want to buy. As I walked out the owner told me to keep my comments to myself. I said that I will talk to anyone I want to talk to, at which time he threatened me with physical violence. Really??!! I guess scammers don’t like to be called out. And based on the other reviews here, I'm not the only one who has had this experience in this dump.

This place was terrible. We went in as the door was open and the the lights were on. There was one employee who totally ignored us as we admired some of there window items on display. We had full intentions of buying some of those window displays until we were approached by what appeared to be the owner who let us know very rudely that they were closed. I asked why was the door open and the lights were on and there were two apparent employees in the facility. At which point he stated he didn't need to answer them and proceeded to ask me "why are you asking these questions are you writing a book". I simply said no but I can write a review. He said he didn't care. It was apparent he didn't care about much. I suggested as we were leaving that he should put a sign out or lock the door if they are not open or are closed for business. He rebuttaled "no I don't have to do that" . This experience was very memorable. Enough to leave us with the feeling that we no longer wanted to return to that store to purchase anything from them, which is disappointing as we had full intentions on spending some money that day. We are local clients and would likely have frequented the store often. They lost us as customer's that day. I would strongly suggest for future window shoppers to avoid this store altogether.

This was a well stocked antique and vintage store. They had a large variety of items, a lot of it was old wood furniture. Items seemed to be priced fair. I found some old comics and the owner gave me a fair deal on them. There wasn’t a lot of “collectibles” but they did have some stuff. I also read some reviews that the owner/manger was rude but I had a pleasant experience with them.

i went there a few months ago and i had a good conversation with the owner, he seemed nice, i bought a clock and a clock key. i'm glad i went there, i will be back for more stuff soon.

Don't bother if your looking to bundle or make deals. Can barely walk around the place there are so many items buried. Which would make you think they'd make deals. Overpriced items when they do have a tag, but if they don't they look online at the cash register and find a good price for something similar online, typically the highest prices they find. It's a shame a local business has gotten this way, used to be a pleasant visit. I feel the owner is out of touch with reality, and by the looks of the mess inside the place they've bought out too many estates, it's more of a hoarders cache than an antique store. Take a trip down the road to Not Your Average Antiques instead, good prices, easy to walk around and they often have storewide 25% off sales!

This used to be a nice shop, With Pleasant people working there. Now it looks looks like they buy the leftovers from yard sales! Boxes of stuff all over the floors and in the aisles....It's become a DUMP! Almost nothing is priced and you're told to bring it to the counter to get a price..(Really?) I picked up an item from an UN- locked showcase and the owner came screaming over to tell me to put it back (I wanted to buy it!) and to "Get the hell out of my store!" Suggest that you SKIP this trash-box and shop elsewhere!

Little antique shop of horrors. I wasn’t in this junkyard five minutes before an old rusty, sharp, and heavy yard tool fell on my head from the ceiling, which is all but coming down. I could have been seriously injured and am grateful to have only received a bump on my head, albeit large and painful. What I am not grateful for was being barked at aggressively by a deranged and seemingly drunk curmudgeon who claimed to be the owner. Despite witnessing the entire incident and knowing very well that he was in the wrong, the “owner” pounced on me almost immediately and began yelling and cursing and hurling insults at me. Honestly, I feel bad writing this because I don’t believe in leaving bad reviews, but considering I could easily sue, I decided that I have an obligation to warn people. Skip a trip to Buzzards Bay Antiques… It might just save your life!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP! The owner is a complete lunatic who watches the few customers he has like a hawk as if he is looking for a fight. There nothing he will not yell at you for, but don’t take it personally, he is just upset that no one will buy his overpriced literal garbage.

The owner of this disgusting establishment is out of his mind. He thinks he owns the town and harasses everyone including women and children. He curses and is physically violent with people who just attempt to use public parking on main street. He needs to be in prison, not running a business, which is not much of a business as it is a collection of junk in a moldy, musty eyesore of a trash heap. I never write bad reviews, but the mean old man who owns Buzzards Bay Antiques is a bully and does not deserve your money.

Went in today and apparently the proprietor was in a bad mood. Yelled at me for looking at an item, in front of other customers, then started ranting and raving about people touching and breaking stuff. I just walked out and will never be back. This guy actually told me to go shop at Walmart. Beware!

TLDR; Rude shop owner. Other people say the same. Edit: tried to fix the times to portray them accurately after posting this. Hope it worked. I went today at 11:57am, because Google says they open at 11. I go inside, lights were off though the owner was putting stuff outside. He says, "I'll turn the lights on when we open." To which I replied, "Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize, I thought you were open at 11" (because that's what Google says.) And then he says, "Yeah it says it right there" (points to a small sign that you would barely notice.) So I said "Okay that's fine, I can wait for the lights, I can just wait outside." And then he says, " Well yeah you're gonna have to wait for the lights." Dude? Are you okay? I then tried to be courteous and ask him, "Do you guys typically open at 12? Google says 11." To which he says, "I know what Google says ma'am, I've been trying for three years to change it." I uses to frequent this place when it was Whatchamacallit and loved it. Kind people and good selection of items, reasonably priced. I saw a few items I liked, but because of this owner, I left with nothing.

As many have stated, the owner of this place is very confrontational and just a crack pot. He accosted me for no reason at all several years ago and I will never go back. I actually considered reporting him to the local authorities. It was that bad. Oh, and the shop is just more Cape Cod arts and crafts junk with a few generic antiques. Avoid.

We stopped in on our way home from the beach today, and found a plant stand that we wanted to purchase. We got to the cash register and the owner shouted across the store that the stand was $45. “Right?” We told him no that it was marked $22. He came over and said that he didn’t have to honor prices marked on items in the store. Then he scraped the $22. price sticker off the stand, while other customers in the store watched. It was very embarrassing. Thank you to the cashier who appeared uncomfortable by the situation and charged me the price of $22. It was Not the pleasant shopping experience I expected.

At the end of our nice day at Buzzards Bay, we had the misfortune of wandering into this store. The owner exhibits violent behavior towards customers. I especially would not recommend for women to go into the store. While shopping, he approached us and tried to provoke us. He made many assumptions about us that were not accurate. We remained "stoic" and did not react until we could exit the store. I would not recommend going into this store to anyone. The owner is dangerous, violent and socially inappropriate. In this age of violence, be careful.

One of the owners seemed bipolar and would switch between very courteous and very rude, without warning. He would then act like nothing happened. If you can deal with that, they do have a pretty unique selection of items

sketchy! owners and store practices no social distancing or mask wearing, and they have also set up zero precautions amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. the owner also was on the phone complaining about his town the entire time we were there, and barely gave us the time of day. this is a shame because we've shopped here for years and have found lots of great stuff to purchase in the past. it's the kind of shop you could spend hours in, something we have done on previous visits, but this will be our last time shopping a Buzzards Bay Antiques Center.

The Mrs. and I go there about two or three times a year. The place has some outstanding items. We always spend too much money, but, walk away happy. Met the owner a couple of weeks ago. We have a lot in common.

If your into Stuff, and all things cool. This is place is a must. Packed full of anything, everything, and the little things that go between the anything and everything. If your lucky you’ll talk with Dave Cowan, not sure if he’s the owner but he’s a great dude, and full of information about the surrounding areas and very knowledgeable regarding the vast quantity of doodads and whatchamacallits found within. Only took one photo of the outside but the building has a long history and I don’t have enough memory on my iPhone to capture the greatness inside. Go see for yourself you won’t be dissapointed.
