A welcome sight when your ride's radiator detonates on the side of a mountain on the hottest day of the year nowhere near civilization. Driver was nice and truck had extended cab and was air conditioned. Tow truck came pretty close to overheating too due to the terrain but thankfully held on our trip back home. Over an hour to where we were, then an hour to where we needed the car dropped, they earned their pay that day.
The driver demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy. He arrived late and immediately adopted a hostile attitude, complaining about the fact that my car was slightly lowered—a detail that should not have been an issue for any competent tow operator. To make matters worse, he attempted to pressure me into paying out of pocket rather than going through my insurance, despite the fact that my policy clearly covered the tow.
When I questioned this, he claimed it was because he had to use two plates to load my car onto the rollback—an excuse that reeked of laziness and an unwillingness to do his job properly. When I asked if he was serious, he responded with a dirty look, turned around, and left me stranded. This level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the company as a whole.
0 Stars! Free State Towing left their broken equipment on the road after they towed a stuck vehicle the evening before. Which I can understand, it was dark & cold.
I called the next day to notify them that their negligence caused me a flat tire. The lady was extremely rude and unprofessional. She told me it wasn't their equipment. Yea sure, lots of towing equipment just laying on the road. Thanks Free State Towing.
Shout out to Free State Towing! After last night, you will always be my first choice. My dog got out in the rain and I pulled over on the side of the road near a field to try and find him. My tires got stuck in the mud. I waited over three hours for another tow truck that never came. A good samaritan flagged down Free State Towing at a gas station at 1 am and he came and pulled me out and did not charge. Thank you again and God bless you!
I had an incident with a deer. This company was professional and helpful when I was being towed. They even let me keep my small dog with me to be towed back to the collision center. I would recommend this company to anyone.
I was banned from the property for asking questions about my catalytic converters being cut clean off my car when I broke down from just a busted oil pan. I wasn’t disrespectful once and I have the video of how disrespectful you were after I drove all the way from Pa. Very unprofessional & IGNORANT ! My car sat for 7 days exactly. I checked it on the 4th day it wasn’t “abandoned” my insurance was confused on exact location. Have a blessed day
My father in laws truck broke down and needed towed. Called free state and they responded in 20mins. Bobby was the driver . Very personable and explained the whole process. Price was cheap compared to what we expected. Not sure why the reviews are poor but I would highly recommend their services. However we hope to never need them again! Thank you Bobby.
Used this towing service when my mother's car broke down. The serviceman that was sent out was extremly rude and unprofessional. If you have another option of towing service you should choose that one. This operator was a disgrace.
Second time they've towed for us. Extremely affordable out of pocket pricing! Friendly service. Will use again to have our other vehicle towed to the shop for service.
Prompt service which was great because I was stranded. The driver was friendly and gave me a reasonable quote for the long tow. Hopefully, I won't need another tow but if I do I will call Free State Towing! Thank you for making a bad day a little better.
Very poor customer service... rude staff very uncooperative and not willing to help the customer. Let the roles be reversed and see how you would feel... only got one star because I can't give it zero. What a shame that this business owner isn't aware of his staff is treating and talking to their customers
I would never recommend free state or blue gray towing. They make everything so difficult that you will be spending more time and waisting more gas driving to different locations just to retrieve belongings from vehicle. Horrible experience and will make sure next time someone hits me that my vehicle is retrieved by a normal tow company with standard policies.
