If you’re planning on getting rare household findings, or cheap kitchen cabinets this could be your place. Don’t dare to waste your time donating anything. Donation policies varies depending who’s accepting them. I have decided to just trash items, or taking them somewhere else than attempting to give them away at this place. As soon as you open your car door, the inquisitive staff starts asking you “what are you bringing” before even seeing what you bring. It makes you just turn around and go away. I think this time was more like a “so long”. Please, the person that replies here in google map. Save any explanation on policies. I am done with this store.

Great finds, but their pricing is waaaay too expensive on recent items donated. $450 for a MCM dresser that still needs refinishing is disapponting. I've found some good deals here, too. But it has to be in items that have been sitting for a long time. It's still one of my favorite "go to" spots, though!!

Since 2014 I've been visiting this place to repair, furnish, and decorate everywhere I've lived in the area. It's still great and I hope it stays forever

We've been going to Community Forklift for over ten years now and it's a great local resource and mission. The prices can be a little steep, but you can also get great deals and rare items. Unfortunately, every time I've donated, I'm treated somewhere between apathy and contempt. I don't expect these folks to love their job but a basic level of courtesy, perhaps a "Hello" and "thank you" would do.

Big place full of nice stuff. Issue is their sold policy. There were plenty of items marked sold that were more then 5-10 days past their pick up date. They still refused to sell them.

The pendant light over my sink once was a dusty little gem I picked up at Community Forklift. $17 after a sale! It cleaned up really nicely. Definitely dress for the weather when you visit (hot outside means hot inside, cold outside means cold inside, etc) , be patient, and also be prepared to move things around. There is a lot of stuff and sometimes it is stacked all on top of each other. For example, when I was looking through floor and wall tile, I wished I had brought a pair of work gloves with me because I would have felt more comfortable shifting the boxes and loose tile sheets around to see everything available.

I was floored by the enormous amount of household items for sale at prices that ANYONE would love!!

Great gem. Thank you, Andre, Monserrat and team for your patience and support as I furnish a new house!

Super friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices, interesting finds, and dog friendly to boot. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely stunning place. The outside can be a bit off putting from location but inside is a hidden gem! They’re definitely a big community with many other sellers and events around. They have great selections of items with decent price but I will say my off put was how some small items could be $15 dollars like a tiny vase. That’s just me though. Regardless it’s a great area to buy, window shop and see any inspiration on your place. Will warn it was hot since they were mostly using big construction fans on random parts of the store but yea. Will definitely come back if I need something around.

This is an amazing place to shop for everything home related! It's enormous and filled to the brim. Furniture, hardware, home decor, antiques, vintage, they've got it all!! Love this place!! You have to cross over railroad tracks and I got caught by trains twice, but it was nice and nostalgic, waiting for a train to pass by will make you slow down!

Today I had the misfortune of being verbally harassed and viciously ridiculed due to my appearance/weight while shopping by another customer visiting today without warning or cause. After trying to reason with her and understand why she was approaching me in such a cruel way without success, she proceeded to block me from moving about the store and I had to resort to asking for help from an employee passing by. That employee was Andre. I've never experienced anything like this before and I have always felt welcome. I love Community Forklift. It was extremely surreal. Andre solidified my sentiments and I love it even more after today. Andre was so kind and stepped in to intervene and do what I could not and tell her to step away. He was extremely empathetic and apologetic on behalf of the woman and how I was treated. The lady left on her own accord before Andre had to rectify it further in excusing her from the property for her words and actions and he really REALLY handled it so well. I am immensely appreciative of Andre and his defense and actions regarding intolerance of this type of scenario. He is amazing and I appreciate him and the Community Forklift community and staff. Thank you for everything Andre. I hope you know how much you truly helped and how much of a difference you made for me today. As for Community Forklift, this remains a place that I love. A place for everyone no matter what you look like, where you are from and without judgement and without tolerance for spiteful, hateful behavior in the environment. And obviously the best deals, selection, and staff.
I hope Community Forklift appreciates Andre and all he does and how he represents the company. I'm forever grateful.Jul 02, 2025 -
I tried to drop off multiple items recently - the receiving team was very disorganized and completely rude - because I was 30 minutes early, one guy said go ahead and leave your material, 5 minutes later one said you need to wait, (elsewhere), until they open. They were all standing around doing nothing! Then they refused certain perfectly good items - just crazy! I tried to recycle but next time I'll go to the dump!

This is a home salvage store. Solid core doors, used cabinets, bathroom fixtures. Most of these items were taken from older homes that are being remodeled or torn down. If you are looking for unique accents pieces this is the place to go, generally everything is reasonably priced.

I haven't been in a while and was looking for a mantel for fireplace and possibly tile for fireplace brick upgrade. Last time bought 10+ boxes for kitchen backsplash. Was cool with old movie seats and unique, interesting items. This time it seemed to be just junk. Mantels were older which is to be expected but also more expensive than I expected. Not much inventory and no interesting items. This was far from where I live and not worth a trip.

I'm not sure what happened to the weekday staff for them to become completely confrontational with their store. I've never met anyone grumpier than the store manager and staff here on the weekdays. I've been plenty of times on the weekend with no issues. After seeing some items last Friday without prices we were told to come back on Monday because the pricing manager wasn't available. My mother-in-law came back on Monday, found out the prices, and bought one piece. One of the sinks was only $40 cheaper than at Lowe's brand new, and I asked her to show them the listing but, she said the pricing guy was the grumpiest person she's ever met and was scared to ask questions. Scared, an old retired middle school teacher...
Anyway, she asked if they took pallets and was told by a different younger employee that in good condition they do. I went to pick up the piece and drop off the pallets on Thursday. I've been multiple times to donate and have been turned away, that's why I asked before I loaded the pallets into my car. But lo and behold the grumpy pricing manager was back to say no they don't take pallets. Luckily an older gentleman helped me load the piece and took one of my pallets. After reading some of the other reviews I see a trend here, if you are an older white lady you get one answer, and if you are a Hispanic lady you get a different answer.
I understand that they don't and can't take everything, it's just that getting different answers and getting people who are outright hostile to you doesn't make you want to buy anything here. I might come back a couple more times but try to avoid the weekday staff, maybe weekend people are just happier?Apr 26, 2024 -
If it was possible to put zero stars I would!!!!
I’ve come to this place quite a few times and every time I get the worst customer service. I had called last week about a table that wasn’t priced. When I called I spoke to a lady and she told me to call in a couple days and if it still wasn’t priced I could come in to speak with a manager and talk about pricing. When I went to the counter, I recognized her voice and explained to her what she had told me. I got smug looks and a “it’s a waiting game” as if she got pleasure from giving me that answer. Not sure if she has a thing against Hispanics but she acted WAY different with the white guy that went up to the counter after me, she was more than eager to assist him and even left the counter to find someone to help him find what he was looking for.
Last year I came in with my mom who was looking to get a small fridge and was talked down to by a supposed “manager” because she didn’t really speak English (mind you I was there to translate for her).
There are plenty of other places that are like this with WAY better employees, much nicer items, and decent pricing. It might be a little further but it’s better than dealing with the employees at this location.Apr 08, 2024 -

LOVE this place. We found three of the most dope vintage light fixtures for our funky bungalow. Staff is super nice and helpful, and the selection is truly mind-blowing.

All DYIers, artists, small contractors, and thrifts! Come forth, come forth! All of us know the pain and struggle of finding what we need at the right price when our pockets are empty of coin. We know the sorrow of dreaming of a project but knowing the expense is too high. Fret no more, friends! Community Forklit Nonprofit is the paradise for all of us who love to create from old; for all of us whose creativity is bound to a smaller budget. Doors, shelves, tools, lamps, lights, knobs, tables, sinks, table legs, rugs, and more in tdifferent conditions and styles for all of use to buy. The best part, at a fraction of its original price.
Not only is this place filled with amazing items to be discovered, it is also filled with the friendliest of people who are willing to help you find the treasure you need.
But don't forget to give back! Don't throw away that tool you no longer need, or the paint that isn't the color your thought, maybe an old shelf doesn't fill you with joy anymore. Bring them all to Community Forklift as a donation and help your fellows.Dec 07, 2020 -
Much of what they have is low end salvaged home goods and old light fixtures.. Great place to buy the cabinets for garage storage. I would come back here if I needed a small vanity top or looking for a particular door. They also have a collection of used appliances.

This place is so cool. It has fireplace mantels, doors, salvaged wood, light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, door hardware, windows, and Furniture of course. And more! There is a lot to choose from and walking through this place is like walking through any other thrift store. You never know what you're going to find.

What an amazing community resource that i bet most people aren’t even aware is here. This is the goodwill of home renovation. They will pickup things you don’t need anymore (they recently came to my home in dc to pick up an old toilet and vanity for donation). They have such gorgeous stuff and lots of awesome antiques and all at great prices. Love the idea of shopping here since it’s environmentally friendly to recycle and reuse instead of buy new!

Super fun place to look around. Inventory is always changing. We've gotten some great deals on old windows and doors that we've used for garden projects. You never know what you'll see!

Extremely unprofessional and confrontational encounter with donation drivers from Community Forklift - donated numerous construction items (which they sell for a profit) and offered to give an additional $50 tip for taking additional, various items with them (ie paint, drywall etc) - after providing the check the other driver becomes very aggressive, banging on my front door, refusing to leave, yelling and threatening to throw all of the items on my front lawn if I do not give him cash (which the donation form states "cash OR CHECK" and the driver gave me his first and last name for the check). In fact, the driver demanded that he FOLLOW ME TO A BANK, so I could pay him cash. (Are you serious??) Needless to say, the police were called and while there the drivers THREW THE ITEMS ALL OVER MY LAWN (see attached pictures) IN FRONT OF THE POLICE - including boards with nails sticking out, oil all over the street, usable tools, grout, drywall IN THE RAIN!! They even threw a wire on my LIVE power line connected to the house while it is raining and sleeting! Unbelievable situation - would never have believed it in 100 years! STAY AWAY!

Cool warehouse packed full of stuff. I did find some things to be on the pricey side for the wear and tear they were showing.
