Mr. Darnell Braxton provides excellent customer service, a positive can do attitude, and a willingness to assist people during emergencies and crises. He is friendly and eager to reassure his clients receive proper care and commitment to transfer them and their vehicles where they need to be at. Mr. Braxton provides an optimistic approach and communicates effectively with his clients. After your car unfortunately breaks down, he just can help you with your day and feel better in a family/friendly business model, as if he already knows you, which is really cool and something that big cities & metropolitan areas lack.
I would recommend Darnell to anyone who needs an effective, capable tow truck operator to assist them. Scott's towing uses a flat bled which is sturdier and more secure then the small tow trucks that only use the hook model. The equipment Darnell uses is top notch and can secure your car and transport it on numerous terrain and on highways.
He is a genuinely down to earth, pleasant, warm, kind of person that we need more of in business.
everything went smoothly and were able to accommodate my car being that it didn’t steer! quick and efficient both were very kind! the guy who helped me was named Nick and he coordinated everything perfectly where i had it dropped off to! very affordable towing compared to some places charging 300 and over for a 10-15 min drive! they charged $150! with multiple payment methods! thank u highly recommend

great customer service from start to finish , I called Scott’s towing after looking at reviews and as soon as I got on the phone. They gave me all the information I needed for tow, explained the process and gave me an accurate time. I didn’t wait no more then 10/15 minutes and NICK was there to tow. Gave me a detailed explanation of what car issue I had going on, suggested some solutions in moving forward with car issue and was very respectful and definitely made a challenging experience better and a bit more easier to deal with !
I woke up and couldn't go. My truck wouldn't start. I called several companies and Scott's towing could get here the fastest. Nick arrived and jump started my car. He checked to ensure that the battery had a charge before he left. He was professional and personable. If I need a tow or any other recovery services again I will call them 1st and you should too!
Nick actually explained how my car should be pulled, and what type of truck should be used, without creating any incidents. I really appreciate the service and information that he provided me. I would give this guy a two thumbs up for personal ingagement and his service.
Called this company when I needed roadside assistance. It took them 30 minutes to let me know they did not have a driver available. On a separate note, they advertise 24 hour service and an actual person does answer the phone.
Darnell was very helpful and quick to respond. He also new of a local tire shop that was open late on a Wednesday. They patched my tire fairly quickly, and the overall experience was not too bad. Also the price was reasonable.

I called around looking for someone to tow my car and this company was the only one to give me a call back to see if I still needed my car towed. Donnell came and picked my car up and gave me a ride to a shop. He is an excellent gentlemen and very wise. He provided me with a pleasant experience. This is the best towing company, Hands down!!!!
Every time the driver told me 30 minutes and he would be there was always on time. He came quickly and stuck to the regulations and rules, so I had no complaints. The price of $155 towing for roughly 15 miles was standard. I would and hope not, use them again for any future need.
Completely Unprofessional lol. I called because I DID NOT receive a receipt from the driver who towed my vehicle. He most likely took my cash and pocketed it! I called to ask for them to pull up the tow information and was told that they DO NOT have records or keep paperwork of the vehicles they tow but if I had a "TOW TICKET" whatever the hell that means, that they could look it up. HUH?!!?! The old dusty man on the phone was rude and kept contradicting himself I suggest you DO NOT call this jankey ghetto place. LOL
Scott is the most efficient, effective and actually caring tow truck driver we’ve ever dealt with. Quick service, safe, concerned about our own safety, connected boat back, inspected our tow hitch/trailer connection, recommended adjustments, switched out our pin for a safer/sturdier one, followed behind us to make sure all was well... can’t say enough good things about him and his service. I had the best tow person and his name was Darnell. He was very professional, nice, friendly and overall there to help. Because of him I will continue using this company whenever I need service.
Got in a car accident yesterday. Darnell came to my rescue in 30 mins. He was so kind and gave me a ride to a safe place to call an Uber. I went to the tow yard today to retrieve my belongings and he was still extremely kind, helpful and friendly. There are still good people in the world.
Responsive service and secure lot. Be aware: their price for storage is high, at least $50 a day, and be sure to discuss all costs up front or you'll be blindsided. Four stars because in my case, they were understanding when my vehicle pickup was delayed by logistics and waived several days of fees for a total of $200. I appreciated their consideration!
A cop had my car towed by this company due to a mistake made my the MVA. They entered the wrong tag number when somebody was turning in their license plates and my car was being unregistered. The place was hidden and hard to find. It looked more like a residence than a company. They told us on the phone it was $175 to get my car back. I was towed at 5pm but you can only pick up your car between 8am and 3pm. We went to the MVA to get new plates the next morning and went to pick up my car. Now they told us it was $275 and they didn't take credit so we had to go back and get cash. We picked my car up around 10 am and had to pay for two days, though we couldn't pick up the car the previous day even if we wanted to. My car hasn't even been there for 24 hours and the owner didn't show any leniency even though all this was not even our fault. They try to get every penny they can. I had some spare change in my car and even that was all gone when I got my car back. They left it unlocked and the keys were on the dash board when it was 90 degrees out. I burned my fingers picking it up. Not sure if anything can break that way but it seemed ok. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the mechanic was nice. Go anywhere else but here. There are a couple other tow companies in that area you might be better off with!
Would highly recommend this company! I called on a Fri night for a Sat early morning tow. They accommodated me with no problem. Pricing was very reasonable. Darnell was my driver. He was very prompt, professional, and good at his job. He was also very personable.
During Rush hour!! Only tow company in town that responded and had tow trucks available to do the job. I was in rush hour traffic headed to work, coming from Fort Washington, going through DC to get down town. Then I broke down.. In not such a good area in DC. I made 2 local calls to companys and got shot down.. Saying there were no tow trucks available and if I wait a hour the first tow will be 160 dollars cash!! But when I called Scotts They gave me ETA and both cash and card price... which I may say was the cheapest in the area!!
I will use Scotts tow service again.
After an exhausting search of trying to find a reasonable and reputable towing service, today I stumbled upon Scott's Towing & Recovery Service. I read their Yelp as well as Google reviews, and I must admit it's well deserved. Darnell was absolutely WONDERFUL... very personable and friendly. Not only that, he's extremely knowledgeable!! I didn't have to thoroughly explain the issue I was having with my car, after briefly explaining, HE KNEW!!! Can you say ...sigh of relief!!!?? After having a really bad week ... having peace of mind that my car was in very capable hands... I could rest easy because finally I was halfway through (it's been an ordeal).
Whomever I spoke with (I apologize I don't remember your name) when being quoted a price was very nice as well and within an hour Darnell was there to assist me. The price was very reasonable. Honestly, you guys beat all the others I called and received quotes from... Hands down!!! You have the right emblem on your truck... cause today you were definitely my heros. I am very pleased with the recent towing services provided by Darnell Braxton and Anthony Cash. I was able to smoothly schedule and have a van removed from my backyard that had flat, dry rotted tires. This was something another tow service couldn't do. With the initial tow service that I attempted to use, I had to schedule (and reschedule) for them to come out on three different occasions. Each time the other tow service came out there was a different issue. First they said the tow truck bed was too small for the van, then they said they may damage my new fence navigating the turn out of my backyard, and ultimately they found they couldn't do the tow because the tires on my van were flat and dry rotted. The process with Scott's Towing & Recovery Service was so much smoother, and quick! It only took them one appointment. I wish I had known about them first! I am so appreciative of Darnell and Anthony! Thank you!
I waited, no kidding, 5 hours for TCL towing while broken down on Pennsylvania ave. screwing up morning traffic and feeling like a jerk. I finally got fed up and called Scott's towing, they were there in under an hour and did a great job! I had lost my wheel and they had a gadget to put under my truck and slide it onto the flatbed no problem, dropped it off infront of my house and even helped me get it on jack stands. Darnell Braxton was professional, courteous, knew what he was doing and a great guy! Thanks Scotts!!!. A+++++
A huge thank you to Scott's Towing for their generous donated assistance for two DC schools in transferring a vehicle from IDEA Public Charter School to Ballou High School for use in their automotive technology program training students in career technical education (CTE). We really appreciate the service and their willingness to give to the community without asking for anything in return. We are glad that the car now has a permanent home and will be put to good use with our DC youth!

I had a great experience with Scott's Towing! I had them off-load one of our Speed-Lifts for me at a customer's location and they were very efficient and professional. Both my customer and the truck driver were happy :) Will definitely use them again!
Great and friendly service! I actually had to use them twice in one week for the same problem because the mechanic screwed up my car. They were able to get me quickly and transported me fast. First time was at a garage with 7'2" clearing and second time was in a parking. Will be using again, hopefully not soon.
Simply amazing! I own one of DC's "tiny houses," but despite the moniker, these houses aren't so tiny when towing. I got the 13.5'-high, 25'-long house on wheels jammed into a pretty tight yard, with sharp corners and leaning trees and no experience backing up a trailer. After 5+ hours of getting nowhere, I called Scott's, and pretty shortly thereafter, Darnell arrived with a big smile and a positive attitude and a wealth of knowledge. He got behind the wheel and had the house extricated in no time, safely towing it to its new location and expertly backing it into a(nother) impossibly tight space. Other tow companies had refused the job, and there's no way I could have ever made it work myself. Darnell quite honestly saved my house.
With that in mind, you can feel safe Scott's Towing will have no trouble with whatever you need. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and the (really difficult) job was so fairly priced. And, once again, Darnell was just amazing. For as long as I remain in DC, I can confidently say I'll never use anyone but Scott's Towing again. These guys are the best. Thanks again!
Scott's Towing came to our rescue and provided great service with excellent communication. Our needs involved a rare car going to and from the DC Auto Show where we could not always control the schedule. The driver and dispatcher were both very professional and good communicators. This is excellent company and I would recommend them for anyone to use. I had a disabled ML430 in my driveway with a bad alternator, starter & some minor transmission problems. I called Scott's Towing @9AM and they arrived at 11AM. When i called they asked me where the vehicle was located and if there was any flat tires, lost keys, or major defects with the vehicle. I explained to them the condition of the car. The tow operator was very friendly. He was telling me about his previous jobs that day and how far out he was and that was the reason he took a while to get to my address. I was not in a rush so it didn't matter. I needed the car transported to another part of DC which was 6.5 miles away the cost of the tow was $130.00. This was a lot in my opinion but believe it or not he was the cheapest person I called. I called 26 towing recovery places and most of them quotes me $150.00 and up. Another reason why I went with Scott's towing is because of the Google reviews on the Internet. This place was awesome. The driver explained the whole process. I told him that the location that I was towing it to would be waiting when they got there to receive the vehicle. All in all I had a very nice experience and if you ever need towing in the DMV that would be the place to call. I asked the driver to they have a cutoff in how far they travel away from their base and he said no, that they'll go anywhere as long as you can pay and they have drivers available to get their in a timely fashion. Two thumbs up for Scott's towing.
