They actually close at 4:30, don’t even bother going after that time. I had took out a part and had to go back home to get the money, i got there at 4:40 to retrieve the part I had already struggled to take out just for they to say you can’t go in the yard past 4:30, even though they close at 5 no EXCEPTIONS! Shytie service tbh

A waist of time and everything over priced they even tell you it's a set price on everything.

Friendly Auto Parts Junk Yard really lives up to its name. I saved $300 on an antenna for my Jeep, and the experience couldn’t have been smoother. The host was welcoming, and even the other guys working in the yard were helpful and approachable. It’s not every day you find great parts, great prices, and great people all in one place. I strongly suggest checking them out if you need parts—you’ll leave happy and with money still in your pocket.

Great selection of BMWs and MBs as well as other European and Japanese cars. Prices are a bit on the high side and many cars has their trunks locked, but other than that - highly recommended Still the best pick and pull in the area.

I saw the owner’s response to another customer’s review (regarding an engine price quote), and it confirmed the exact issue: unprofessionalism and poor customer service. Instead of addressing the concern with clarity or respect, the reply came off as dismissive and arrogant—stating “we can sell our products for whatever price we want… it’s called capitalism.” That may be true in theory, but no successful business survives long by misleading customers, offering inconsistent information, or reacting defensively when called out. A quote was given. When the customer called to purchase, the story changed—first quoting an engine with 87K miles for $3,700, then suddenly saying that engine was $5,000. The only way to avoid misunderstandings like that is through honest, consistent communication. Shifting blame to the referring mechanic and hiding behind “capitalism” isn’t a professional response—it’s an excuse for poor business practices. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who expects transparency, accountability, or even basic customer respect.

Michael offered very honest and helpful answers, shared with me where the parts were ( other vendors ) and provided hints to be aware of In my quest for used parts .

Poor customer service skills, and they sells you bad parts. You are basically gambling with your money on the parts. When you call to get your money back for when they said they will give it to you, they will answer; keep you on hold for a hour, and still don’t come back to the phone. When you call back they will have both of their lines turned off. They play games all around the board.

Excellent staff at the salvage yard they took the time to call around and get me exactly what I needed for my vehicle....

Upon arriving at this establishment, I was immediately confronted with a $2 entrance fee just to access the lot. Once inside, I was expected to navigate through rows of vehicles to locate the auto parts I needed, with absolutely no assistance from staff. To make matters worse, I had to bring my own tools to extract parts from these abandoned and often hazardous vehicles. If I wanted any help removing parts from the cars, I was informed that I would incur additional charges, which felt utterly outrageous. Are they serious right now? This entire operation seems like a poorly run operation riddled with dishonest practices. I cannot emphasize enough how unprofessional this place is. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. Why should customers have to rely on their own tools to salvage parts from potentially dangerous vehicles? The staff clearly has little regard for the safety or well-being of their customers. It's an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Went out of the way to find other yards to find the part I was looking for. A much deserved 5er

Wonderful experience! I spoke with a representative at this location who was being helpful finding a fender for my Honda. He directed me to their other location in Accokeek, and the great customer service carried on. Thank you for your assistance, and when I need any part for any of my vehicles, I’m going Friendly first!!!

I highly recommend them if you need parts. If anyone have a issue at this place , trust me it's something wrong with them because they'll go above and beyond to help you.

Could you have a website, to consult which car is available in the junkyard , and it is difficult to go look for a car that I don't know if it is in the junkyard , and if possible with photos so I could save using parts of the same color.

I have to say that this has been the best experience at a salvage yard ever. Thank you to the gentlemen working and also the patrons. Everyone helped each other.

I just called the Friendly Auto Parts, and I spoke to Michael who took 10 minutes of his time to try and find parts that I was hunting for. I really appreciate the effort. The name of this business is correct, they are very helpful and Friendly. Thanks again!

I have a 2008 Range Rover Sport that needed a passenger side headlight assembly, which was insanely expensive to replace. The insulation had come off of the wires on mine due to age. I called Michael at Friendly Used Auto Parts and he did extensive research on the part to make sure he had the one I needed. I drove an hour to pick it up and prayed the whole way there and back that it would work. Michael repeatedly assured me that the part would work and he was 100% right! I am so grateful to Michael for saving me over $2,500!! This place and Michael are national treasures. Even though Michael was very busy when I called him, he took extra time to provide exceptional customer service to me. He is great!

Poor Customer Service. My father brought a battery from here that did not last five days. He took it back and was told the battery only has a five day warranty. This place is just out to get hardworking peoples money. Find another junk yard if you want the best for your dollar. Poor Customer service. Beware.

I just called to ask for a price on a door for a Honda Accord and the representative that picked up the phone was incredibly rude. This junkyard does not deserve service. This junkyard does not understand that the community is what makes their income.

Have you ever walk through the grocery store and needed something from the top shelf and the staff come in and saves the day. This was my experience. Only the part was UNDER the car. Seconds after I find the car that has the part I need by eyesight, a case comes along. This gentlemen saw me kneeling down to observe the method in which I would use to remove the part and asked if I needed al lift. I scanned the area and found a garage make shift stand used for jacks BOOM!!! About forty-five seconds later, parts off. This part is so significant in how the motor is stabilized but inexpensive. However, finding an auto parts store that had it, to no success, was impossible. Even listed with a price on the internet, they charged me nothing at friendly. All auto parts savage yards are conjested, this one was so neat, I found a part I needed for my daughter's car. Thanks for the help, friendly. P.S. Do you have anymore stars. That's the one thing I couldn't find unless you count your employees.

Excellent prices, but it's a very disorganized yard, cars are everywhere. There appears to be no order to the yard that I could find (etc. foreign versus domestics, trucks versus car, new models versus older cars). If you have the time and patience you can find excellent value here. I purchased two rear coils springs, two channel molding for the roof, and horn for my scion 2010 XB and the grand total was $42 dollars, excellent value.

As far as pulling parts....they can't mess up your doing the pulling ....but as far as customer service zero training and manager is no better rather bicker with customer than making situation better or apologizing..I called hour before arriving the part was pulled, then guy says "no core charge on this" $50 even..I rode the bus get to place the part lost probably still on car waited over a hour....then was charged core manager wouldnt honor Convo, nor corrected employee for telling truth or lying idk could of been mistake...I'm asking the only 3 people working who did I speak with on phone a hour ago nobody said it was me then told me I was wrong maybe I called underwood parts...showed him call history still just sarcasm...didn't even apologize I wasted 2 hours for a 3 min transaction I could of had car running in 2 hours...Underwood Used parts and Brandywine are organized and pride themselves on good parts good service...good warranties those my go toos if not pulling...you have to correct problem at the root of issue present time not later online via review the owner cares but if employees don't they will drive your business to the ground running away business...a simple apology could of resolved this from manager he just antagonized....part 2..the part was wrong different power ends I needed starter for 2009 G35 they pulled 2005 350z starter good idea just wrong generation...so I had to go back up there omg return and go to another place

The owner Tommy Underwood is a stand up guy and the best owner of a business I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I am good friends with his grand daughter Jessica and she boasts her grandfather's yard (Friendly's) and B. Underwood auto parts in Clinton to everyone anytime someone mentions cars. She has always spoke so highly of her grandfather and his business so I had to see for myself. She couldn't have been more right. From the moment I walked through the door everyone was very friendly and attentive. Johnathan was very helpful and was very funny, kept me laughing, which I absolutely love that when I am shopping for anything. The prices were great and the yard is very organized considering its a junkyard. I recommend Friendly's and B. Underwoods to anyone and everyone who ever mentions car issues or looking to buy a decently priced nice car. I never go anywhere else for parts or vehicles if I can help it. I am most definitely a forever customer. Thank you Tommy and everyone else for everything! Yall are great!

I called in advance to see if they had my part and they did. I didn’t have to pull it since they already had. The price was reasonable and there were others there that were pulling their own parts.

Great customer service! Plenty of parts at a good price. Always ask for Mike first. He can help find anything you need and is always friendly. I will be back if I need anything else.

It is small for a lot, well organized but lack of variety and inventory, overall. A call ahead may help if you are looking for more unique finds.
