I had called numerous tire shops to locate tires for my Sienna Van. Pep Boys had the tires in stock as opposed to others having to order and wait a week! The customer service was very good!

If I cld give zero stats I would. I was on time for my oil change appt and it’s going on 1hr 30m and my car has not been moved. There’s 2 ppl here that came after me so it’s not like they’re packed and busy. On top of that it smells oily in here as if I’m sitting right beside them as they change the oil…feeling light headed & irritated at this point. This is ridiculous so if I was you and I respected my own time I wld not waste it here.

I had a great experience. I called on the fly. We set an appointment for later in the day. 5 minutes later Justin called me back saying they can get me in earlier and their guys would go pick up the part. I get there. I was welcomed. I had great convo about cars and mechanics. I was in and out in 30mins. I'll definitely be back when I need to! GREAT JOB BROTHERS!

The crew took care of my 2018 Corolla. I’m thankful and appreciative of their service. In a flash I got rotors and brake pads for the front of my car. Exceptional and under two hours.

Absolute joke of a shop. Scheduled a transmission flush, confirmed the day before, and still got screwed over. Drove all the way there just to be met by two extremely rude front desk workers who flat-out told me the tech “doesn’t do trans flush” — like it was my problem. No apology. No accountability. Just attitude. Complete waste of time, gas, and patience. If this is how they treat paying customers, I wouldn’t trust them to change windshield wipers. Avoid this place like the plague.

Came in for a possible noise from belt. With diagnosis of two belt needs replacement. Had that and rear pads and rotors on tire.1066 dollar and 6 hours later. The noise was still there when I left. Went back 4 days later and now it's a water pump. Diagnosis could not find that. Y'all scammed me for something I didn't need. It was the alternator not just the belt to it. Don't go here Ever...

When I dropped my car off, I was informed that it would be ready in approximately 2 hours, as there were only 2 cars ahead of me. However, the experience was far from what was promised. At 11:40am I called to check on the status and was told it would take another hour because another vehicle was still being serviced. At 1:10pm I called again and was informed that my car hadnt even been worked on yet and would require an additional hour. When I expressed my frustration over repeated delays, no one I spoke with showed empathy or provided any meaningful customer service. Upon arriving at the store at 1:20pm to retrieve my keys, neither of the front desk associates apologized or acknowledge the inconvenience. I wasted 3 hours of my day and still didnt get my oil changed.

My latest visit for new tires was so much better than the last visit. They took my car in right away and completed 4 new tires and alignment within 90minutes.

To be honest - DONT bring your car here. You might be better off at another pep boys or a different shop. I’ve had to spend about $1300 to get rid of a noise my car makes when it brakes and the problem still continues.

The front desk staff is lovely! I went to this location one day because the location I made an appt with could not accommodate me so I called this location and they were willing to take me right away. When I got there they were so welcoming! I had to go back an additional day (because we had to wait for a part) when the got there the second day I had to work and they cleared as space for me so I could get some work done. I really appreciate them!

The manager, Crystal, was VERY pleasant. BUT, when I took my truck in for a new battery, when returned, my radio didn't work. It was working fine when I took it in. I turned around and took my truck back to PEP BOYS. The two mechanics couldn't get it working. Crystal did manage to get sporadic sound, but the radio and dashboard kept blacking out. At this present time, and this is the 2nd day, the radio does not work, even after charging for hours.

I've been getting my oil changes done at this Pep Boys for the past couple years and they do a good job every time. I would recommend this Pep Boys for basic services (and making your appointments through CarAdvise at least a day before) to anybody.

Great, fast and reliable service. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Fixed my vehicle less than three hours and it rides like it’s brand new.

Pep Boys did a very detailed and useful written diagnosis of the work it recommended for maintenance and repairs for my vehicle. In addition, the technical team spoke with me directly and help me understand their diagnosis to keep me aware of the progress of the work being performed on my vehicle! I was very satisfied with the quality and timeliness of the service and the courtesy and professionalism of the workers! I will continue to go to Pep Boys for any future work on my vehicle! I believe the work done by Pep Boys is very much the quality of work that would have been performed by my dealer repair and maintenance service center.

I pulled up and noticed they changed their days to 7 days a week. So, I park and see if I need to schedule an appointment for an oil change. To my surprise, I didn't and they took me right in and changed my oil. This is close to my house which I love but with that, they changed the staffing. Which was much needed. The office setting was clean and organized. One of the ladies was sweeping while the other was addressing my concerns. So it was a pleasure to be greeted by two minority women. Kudos to them. Very polite, addressed my concerns, and answered all my questions. Love it compared to a couple of years ago. Will come back, need tires for the Lincoln and some more work to be done to the Buick.

I bought 4 tires and paid to have them balanced and installed. They were not balanced. Not one weight was placed on any tire, and my personal mechanic checked the balance. They were off more than 3 ounces. I called the store for refund of money paid for balancing . Manager was rude and said my mechanic was wrong and that I should bring tires back. But my previous day's experience (mounting tires and balancing) took 3.5 hours and I didn't have that kind of time to waste again. They should have done the job right the first time. Jamal signed that he had balanced the tires. He didn't. Pep Boys should refund my money since I had to pay my mechanic to do it correctly. I contacted corporate and have heard NOTHING. I will never use PepBoys again.

I waited over a hour to get a typed up quote for some repairs by Crystal after the car was diagnosed. She helped 7 other people (getting quotes in front of me, checking out people, checking in people, taking calls) before getting back to me when she said she’s working on it “now” ?? Not sure if color has anything to do with it but she had some attitude with literally just me but laughing with everyone else lol ??♂️ Edit: didn’t get the quote after a hour and a half because the car doesn’t have a transmission cooler so the technician has to talk to the parts delivery people to figure out the part # … wasted a hour and 30 minutes

This place is the worst place I've ever been to. The people who work there don't know what they're doing. According to the details, the installation included the pressure valves of each tire, but they didn't change them. Plus, I was waiting for two hours just for a tire change. Then, they ruined the bolts of each tire and told me that they were already damaged. A lady, I think was a manager, came and told me my car needed an oil change, which was true, but I didn't have time to do it. She got mad just because I didn't do it. They just left the car outside and didn't say anything when it was ready. I'm completely disappointed in this place. I hope people can see this and think twice before going to a place like that.

I had my car towed there mid-Sept for a flat tire and damage to a casing under the car. I was going through my insurance (which they kept referring to as warranty for some reason) and they eventually got the approved appraisal of repairs. Pep Boys staff kept wanting more repairs than approved. They couldn’t even get pictures over to the insurance company for a supplement appraisal approval. For several weeks I’ve asked if they started work. A month later the manager told me that my car been in the bay the entire time and recommended I get it. I asked if they could send the photos for things needing repairs to me since the insurance company never received them. They couldn’t even send those to me. Several phone calls, I would end up on hold from 15-30 minutes or just be ignored. When they got the car out the bay, a window was smashed into. The manager (Crystal) said she’ll look over the cameras to see what happened. She never called back and I tried calling several other times without an answer. This other shop already has parts ordered and ready to repair my car but Pep Boys is responsible for my window damage since it happened during their custody. I generated an incident report with the police. The manager is refusing to take responsibility. DONT GO HERE!!!

My experience was terrible. I made an appointment for 9 am and when I arrived I was told some other cars were already in there so I would have to wait. I they took my car back 10:40. They gave me incomplete paperwork that did not have the Vin #, milage, engine number or color. The license plates are temporary tags and she told me that's how they do it in Maryland. I explained my brother is the general manager at Pep Boys and that he said that info should be on when I give authorization to fix my car. I never was asked for my authorization to do the work. The Manager was very negative in her tone and did not want to acknowledge that I asked for the paperwork to be complete. She dismissed me and looked past me and said next to the person behind me without finalizing our business. I don't plan to ever use Pep Boys again and am very much disappointed and dissatisfied with the service. I have been a customer for more than 8 years. Thank you for your consideration and listening to my complaint.

I went to Pep Boys located on 6333 Marlboro Pike, Forestville, MD on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 5:45pm. I shared with Crystal Roberts, Service Manager, that I seek a quote for replacing my lower control arm. She shared that a diagnostic service would have to be performed and that a service technician cannot perform the service until the following day. I left my vehicle at Pep Boys overnight. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 12:49pm, I received a text stating "Click [the link] to view your Complimentary Vehicle Inspection Report". The Report confirmed that both of my lower control arms needed replacing; however, the Report did not include a quote for the service. I went to Pep Boys at 1:50pm and asked Crystal what is the cost for removing and replacing the lower control arms. She typed information into the computer, then became wide-eyed. I asked, "What are you trying to say?" She replied, "I didn't know it would be this expensive." She then invited me to look at her computer screen where she shared that my vehicle's axle needs to be replaced along with both lower control arms with a total cost of $3785.22. I asked, "Why is it so expensive?" She shared that it takes 14 hours to perform the service (as she pointed out that 14.2 hours at $140 per hour equals $1988). Hailu, the service technician, then appeared stating that it is the way that they make the Lexus vehicles and that he had to take multiple steps to remove and replace the parts. I asked for a printed work order, reviewed it, then told her to proceed with performing the service. I left Pep Boys at 2:20pm. At 4:27pm, Crystal called me stating that my vehicle is ready for pickup. I asked her how that was possible when she told me two hours ago that the work would take 14.2 hours. She said that her technician knew how to perform the work quicker. I stated that I am glad that I will be paying only for two hours of labor versus 14.2 hours. She replied that Pep Boys closes at 6pm and ended the call. At 4:51pm, I received a text from Pep Boys stating that my vehicle is ready for pickup. I asked Crystal when I arrived at 5:45pm, "What is the adjusted price for services since it only took two hours to perform the service?" She said that she cannot adjust the price since it was based on the technician's estimate based upon the hours listed in her computer. I asked to speak to the technician who was gone for the day. I stated that it is not right for me to pay for an additional 12 hours of labor when it took only two hours to perform the service. She stated that I can contact Pep Boys Corporate. I paid $3785.22 in order to get my vehicle. My vehicle is not riding correctly, and I have to take it to another mechanic.

I scheduled the $29.99 ac check. I dropped my car off and told the receptionist I was scheduled for an AC check up. I was told it would be about 2 hours. When I returned for my car, I was given a total of $341…NOTHING WAS FIXED. I explained that I scheduled the $29.99 ac check online, so that can’t be right…Crystal (with the pink hair) says “well I gave you a print out before you left, and you’re not getting your car unless you pay”. Sensing she was having a bad day and would be no help, I asked for a manager to which she loudly replied “I AM THE MANAGER” I tried contacting corporate but they were no help…so I paid the funds. Ill be. Contacting better business bureau, corporate, and disputing with my bank.I will NEVER IN MY LIFE go back! Not even for a wiper blade.

This shop couldn't be more unprofessional. If you can take your car elsewhere, do so. THE SERVICE WAS FOR A SINGLE TIRE replacement ON MY REAR DRIVER SIDE.(The claim was approved and processed the night before so payment had been satisfied) Upon returning in the morning The manager on duty, Crystal states that she does not have an available tech to put a single tire on my car until after 9 AM. I explained to Crystal that the night before Corey processed everything with Assurant including the payment and said the car would be ready for pick up upon the shop opening. I found the manager crystals's attitude to be beyond poor and unsatisfactory. She appeared to care less that her employee processed and got approval for my warranty claim, kept my vehicle overnight for a service and did not complete the service, nor did Corey send the invoice to my warranty provider to complete the payment. She continue to take several walk-in customers after asking me "how can I help you?" and appeared to act as though she was irritated and gave zero feedback as to how she planned to rectify Corey's mistake. Crystal the manager also walked to the back and indirectly spoke about me to her colleagues in a nasty manner. So terribly in fact one of her technicians apologized on her behalf as they knew I heard every word she said and she could care less. Me and my two children arrived at the shop this morning at 8:37 AM and my car was not completed until way beyond almost 11am. For one tire. The moment I walked into the shop, they showed a clear this distaste for wanting to service clients with their time and money in mind.

Scheduled an 11:00am appointment for an oil change for today. I was checked in by 11:05am. My car did not get taken back until 12:45pm and the oil change was not complete until 1:45pm. I was shocked that an oil change with a scheduled appointment took nearly 3 hours. Also, no one updated me at all while I was in the waiting area. They did have free snacks though and a good coupon

The location was in disarray. The appearance of the shop has no curb appeal and everything from the dingy dirty carpets, heavily dusty air purifier to the mini fridge on top of the cabinet is off putting. I set an appointment for 830am only to be told, it's a first-come first serve and your appointment does not mean anything. In addition, there was only one general tech on at aire who arrived at 8:15AM even though they open at 8AM. I came for a when alignment and I was told the tech for alignment is not here. After asking why, I was told, "I have someone scheduled to come in at 8AM everyday but they just come in when they want to." Really ?? The pricing was on the website does not match what I was quoted when I was at the service center. It was very disappointing for the front of the store representative not to have any answers, just a laissez-faire attitude. The unprofessional customer service from the front desk attendant was also par for the course. I will try the other location and see if that works out ??

This is my first time doing any car service or business with this Pepboys. Everything went smoothly and I have appreciation for Robert. As much as we want our car in and out in a minute, a bit a patience sometimes can also be satisfying. I admit that I didn't expect the final price to be low as it was to change both my light bulbs turn signal. I am satisfied and will be coming back. Thanks to Rob and the guy who did my lights.

I've been in the store since the Service Manager let me in at 7:30am - store opening. It's currently 8:19 and nobody has "opened" the retail side to allow any purchases. The head cashier has since arrived, and other service personnel - but apparently only the manager (who I've learned should have arrived at 7:00 am) can "open" the registers allowing me to pay for these 3 qts of oil.

Came in off the random for an oil change. Used my service warranty so paid no money oit of pocket. I waited about 30 minutes and it took them about 30 to complete the service. All in all, had a great experience. Martin took good care of my baby, even filled my tires with me having to ask because he saw the sensor was on. ???
