We did a large project in Alexandria where we had a lot of scrap. We told Michael what we needed and he made it happen. We really appreciate all his help in getting our job completed in the time frame we had. I highly recommend using him.
Alejandro is great! He keeps me up to speed on the pricing of all the different medals. He answers texts even after working hours! The 2 workers up front when you take a car in for sale, are very friendly and knowledgeable as well. I like going there because of those 3 workers alone... plus they give great prices!

I came in with a 53' sleeper tractor trailer. Everyone was extremely helpful and showed me exactly where to go and what to do. And the ladies are very nice and pretty too
This is a very poorly operated business you call them up about being shorted on your pay and they bar you but what's even more funny is there wasn't even a reason to bar some one when right is right
Hard to find in semi. No signs by road and very tight backing into dock with the vehicles on other side of road. Be careful when pulling off scale, there is metal everywhere and could pose a problem for steer tires
Joseph Smith & Sons were having issues my last trip there. A flooded yard, too many trucks and not enough real estate, too many employees whose command of English would be laughable if you weren't trying to get done and get out. Not planning on going back anytime soon.
Extremely disorganized. Yes it's a scrap yard, I get it but there is not one single soul to ask a question for a newbie. I drove around in circles and waited on the same line three times to dump scrap metal. They need more employees to guide you through the yard. Be prepared to spend at least 2 hours at this location
I don’t suggest this place for truckers. Tight place for turn arounds. You have to weigh in before loading and re weigh after loaded. There’s curve you can’t avoid after you come off of scale. I quit taking the recycle scrap metal and aluminum loads they tore up and scratch your trailer inside.
Nice to be able to have a place near by to drop off unwanted scrap and get a little change for the effort. Would not recommend going down light. Staff can a lot of times come off quite rude. But I guess it's the nature of the game with the types of people that they deal with day in and day out.
Was hard to figure out where to go when I did find the place. I never found the “office” as it says to go to for directions. After driving around I found the non ferrous metal building. Again was difficult to find where to go or what to do at the building. After a few minutes I found someone who explained to me what to do. After that another guy did come offer to help me unload and spoke much better english. The guy who helped me at the scale was great. Sorted my metals got my ticket. Hit their atm and was on my way. Overall was great place but just need better signs for first time customers that don’t know the routine.
I will not ever go there again. After being told the wrong place to go in the complex, I was finally directed to the correct place. Wasted half an hour. Then, I unloaded a full ton of aluminum extrusion myself, no help offered, and because it had 20% ferrous in it, they paid 10 cents a pound. My buddy took the exact same materials to another location and received twice that rate (20 cents per pound) and they unloaded his truck. Exact same materials. Same day. Never again.
