Excellent staff. They have great system on getting you in and out. Definitely always the place to go for Aluminum. Their Copper price is always on par with all other outfits. By far the friendliest staff.
Took stainless steel, broght it to manager, told me dump it, proceeded to sign my paper regular metal. Couldn't reload my stainless because I loaded it with a lift. Rip off company now
They have cleaned the place up nicely. It’s easy to navigate the yard now. That’s the end of the good stuff. They have severely slowed the process down. No longer can you weight stuff at the small scale without driving thru the big scale twice. They only have one scale open. So it bottlenecks the whole process. Used to be able to get in and out in 20 min. Now it’s taking 40-60 min to get through the process. Payouts seem within range of the area. Hard to accurately compare prices as no one posts them without calling first. Disappointed in the new management.

I had a truck full of clean aluminum scraps. I called before coming in the lady on the phone told me .67 cents per pound. I made my way over there. I showed the guy at the weighing station what I had and I asked him about the price just to confirm before we starting dumping it into their bins. He also confirmed that it was clean aluminum for .67 cents. I finally get to the register and they ring me up for .55 cents per pound. WHAT HAPPENED TO 67 CENTS PER POUND??? I spoke to the manager and he told me there is nothing he could do.
They waited until I had dumped all my aluminum for them to lower their price at the last possible second.

Mrs. Gloria, She is always in such a great spirit. Smiles and is always especially kind. Even in the early morning hours. She’s consistently pleasurable to deal with. Flat $20 for 1,708 crushed cans. 49lbs. I spent 2 years collecting these thinking it would be worth my time and space. Borrowed a pick up truck incase one of the bags leaked. I ended up using that $20 on the gas since I borrowed the truck. I thought I would be getting $200 but I was completely wrong. Don't waste your time.
This place has taken advantage of its customers for a long time. They have only gotten worse under the new management. I have had my prices repeatedly changed and have to waste my time waiting for someone to fix it or eat it if I'm in a hurry. Their scale house can't communicate to the office and put random codes for the material which ends up always being the lowest paying material. While the aren't very many alternatives locally, it is well worth reaching out to other facilities and a few extra miles are worth less headaches and a few extra bucks.
The only bad thing I could say about this scrap yard is they're closed on the weekend. Unfortunately the times that they're open I'm working. But other than that they're quick and easy plenty of room to get in and out and great prices. I can't complain and plus if I wanted to who's going to listen LOL

I HAD $300 worst of siding aluminum and they only paid for half of it. When I asked the cashier Melissa she didn’t know what to say coz they know they’re stealing.
Montgomery scrap is the best place to bring your scrap metal and get some quick money. The treatment is great, the prices are high, and it's a locally owned and operated business.

I GOT $40 CASH for a 8 large garbage bags full of clean, dry uncrushed aluminum cans and it only took 20 minutes to complete the transaction.
Place is great.. everyone is super friendly. Best price on all metals. My #1 place to take all my copper and aluminum. Wished they were closer to me (22150 area).
Staff was very helpful I think they can sense when you're a first timer and are willing to show you the ropes in order that you can get in-and-out of there as quick as possible

So after reading the reviews, I decided to use Montgomery Scrap Corporation, as I just moved here from Delaware and being quite the scrapper.
I loaded up all of the aluminum, steel, brass, and copper into my car.
Upon arriving, a guy asked me what kind of metal I had and I told him.
And then he proceeded to tell me to go to the next guy.
I went over to where others were unloading.
The males were very nice at first.
As soon as my wife steps out of the car, she gets back in, she says she feels very uncomfortable as the guys around stare at her.
And that's when it got ugly,
The male brought me over one bin after I told him about the different materials I had.
He said I understand.
And then as he weighted it all, all together, he then proceeds to put on the paper that it is all sheet iron.
I'm not stupid, but I had my son with me and I had to be back to work.
So as I see him doing what he's suppose to be doing for the males, he is completely treating me like an idiot that doesn't know what I'm doing or saying.

I am a small-time household recycler and MSC is great! They have good prices, friendly service at the small scale, and are helpful in identifying metals. It is a plus that they accept small-timers with all of the huge drop-offs from contractors and businesses. Just visiting MSC and seeing the large heaps of metal here is always fun, looks like scenes from The Terminator or Wall-E. It is heartwarming to see all of the precious metal being recycled and not in the landfills. Be forewarned, metal recycling is addictive!
This company is the absolute best!
We recently moved our business from one location to another. After being let down by several other people, Rob Holmes helped me get rid of a old semi trailer that I had been struggling with. He put me in touch with a wonderful person that actually came and hauled away my eye sore. Montgomery Scrap paid the driver that picked up our old trailer and actually sent me a check for the difference of the scrap value.
Every step was taken care of quickly and efficiently.
This was the only painless experience that I had with our move.

I work for a company in Baltimore, MD and we have used Montgomery Scrap about 3 times now. They come pick up our scrap so we don't have to load it up to take it somewhere and we even get a better return than at a place that is right across the street from our business!
