This department intentionally violates our rights by towing vehicles for things that their law books say they can not do. If your vehicle has been towed for suspended or out of date tags check §21–10A–04 Particularly number 7-9. If the violation on the sticker says susp reg or tags, then the primary reason they towed it for is a violation of our rights. That one violation will lead to many more. Officer Penner is the guy they throw under the bus because they tell you to go talk to him. The man who acts like he knows it all is yet to be named but he works there and even goes out to tow sites. if you check sticker look up every number or code they put on it. The days of bullying hard working civilians is long gone and this department will be held accountable by the public. Got videos of this past weeks tow and even when you tell them that their Courts and General Assembly website provide the laws and statues that make its against the law for them to tow they still tow you. They act hard and try to intimidate you because they bank on you being scared to invest time and money into the situation they create. They hide behind qualified immunity not knowing they're actions will have that removed and then we can sue them individually for punitive damages. Stay sharp informed and learn the laws these people break under the cover of law.

I have reported a truck with expired tags (2022) 4 times in 5 months and the truck is still on the street. Keep receiving an email stating they are behind. 5 months behind?
I lost my car after police told me it was in silver spring not here and I owed a loan in my car to the bank they had no title threw away my grandmas chain without any knowledge of it to me
If I could give zero stars I would. How disgusting of this department and E& S towing to be in cahoots with each other. I bought a truck for my business in November of 2022. The truck was parked at a local lot and was removed (towed) from the lot without my knowledge, because it “did not have tags”. Filed a report of 12/7/22. 6 DIFFERENT POLICE OFFICERS saw the report and not ONE contacted me to give updates about my truck’s whereabouts. Did some research and found the truck at the police impound, and found out it is SCHEDULED TO BE AUCTIONED ON THE 28th of January 2023. Mind you, the truck had tags when it was bought and worked perfectly fine; meaning it was drivable. Fast forward to this week and a series of running around and expenses to get this truck back, I went to the police impound yesterday at 305 Metropolitan Grove Road, and the truck was defective. The steering wheel was not working like it was when the truck was bought! When I tried to turn left, it went straight, and when I tried to turn right, it went straight. I go to the counter (1/12/2023), livid in disposition looking for answers and was met my a possy on condescending characters… Today (1/13/2023) they tell me to contact E&S Towing because E&S Towing is the reason the truck is defective . I call this place of unprofessional business and the so-called owner had the gumption to tell me that she is not paying for my steering wheel. The same steering wheel they broke. Long story short, I’ve contacted a lawyer and I’ll be contacting my friends at NBC, Good Day Washington, Washington Informer, etc. Look me up. I’m sure they’d love to hear how Local Police Department & Towing Company Work Together to Shorthand Maryland Entrepreneur.
The auctions are a crapshoot. Several professional buyers so real deals are limited. With scrap prices what they are one buyer, using money that isn’t really his, will run you up if he doesn’t like you. Not all negative but with the titling regimen it is hard to do really well. No fees added on - gavel price is cost.
System is designed for failure. Anyone with a regular 9-5 job would never be able to get their vehicle out. Pretty much a set up to get money from law abiding citizens, hours are from 7-3 m-f
Thankfully I live in California this place is a mess. They also opened my bag and went through it looking for a “weapon” without my consent. Denied it and now filing a police report. Claimed my bag was open but towing company took pictures of it closed. Will upload once towing company sends pictures. Papers on driver seat were on the side of the driver door and bag was closed un opened found open on passenger seat with iPhone boxes open.
I bought two cars from this auction and my children used them for more than four years each then we sold them to some friends.
I recommend people to check this place out before going to the car dealers.
