Went to the Mainstay as part of the Rockhall Festival and the venue was quaint and they had a variety of performers. It's not upscale but you aren't looking for that in a small eastern shore waterfront town.
Jewel box of a music venue. I just saw Stephan Wrembel, the keeper of everything Django Rheinhardt. Stephan's performance was an amazing combination of lecture and context of Django's career and influence on the world. Of course, Stephan Wrembel is true to the genre and has absolutely expanded on it with his own formidable talent.
The Mainstay is opening a new outdoor annex. Get out there and support them. Very reasonable prices. A real community. World class artists. I really don't know how they do it. Don't miss an opportunity to check them out!
Great local music venue with some great acts. Small, casual and cheap. Bar and snacks available. We will go now that the proof of Vax and mask requirements are gone.
Amazing variety of great live music featuring world glass musicians...concentrating on jazz, blues, and folk/world music.....a performer recently described her experience at the Mainstay as being at a small club in New York City! Very informal intimate atmospere
I came here with a personal friend and was immediately astonished at the amount of culture and sheer possibilities that this wonderful place has to offer. I sadly am not able to see every show but I would if I could! Come here if you like Jazz, Classical, Blue grass, a great time, drinks, a little snack, or just want to try something new and support not only local musicians but great music. I strongly recommend trying to come out and enjoy a concert or two and then telling your friends to come as well. Luckily they have a flexible schedule of concerts throughout the week usually each week featuring performers young and old. I plan to come here as often as possible and you should too!

Barbara Peters was fantastic, she sang all her own songs and Joe Holt"s piano playing as usual is inovative and complimentary. The venue is so friendly and comfortable with excellent acoustics. A true home of musical magic.
Who would have thunk it, An Austin TX style music club right there on Main Street in Rock Hall? This place is intimate and top notch with a variety of music. We caught The Thee Divas, three ladies who know how to make jazz come alive and then enjoyed Three ladies from Patagonia the next.
The talent is top notch and the setting perfect. The only knock is the crowd tends towards the retired. A little mix in age would bring some much needed lift to the place.
This is a picture of my Grandson Steve with the famous harmonica player "Magic Dick" who was formerly with the J.Geils Band. The Mainstay is a great place to see and hear live music. It is a small venue with big name artists! Also very low prices. It's like being at home with your favorite band! I highly advise anyone who likes music to check out their website for featured artists! Well worth the drive to Rock Hall.
We LOVE The Mainstay! Music is superb, amazing variety over each month, something sure to please every music lover. Relaxed, inexpensive, & Becky's Bar gives a great pour! The new addition of Joe Holt's Mainstay Mondays is fabulous -- we have been thrilled each Monday evening at 7 with the amazing "New York caliber" of each of the many guest performers, and, of course, Joe himself, who is a local treasure. And a $10.00 cover charge? Astounding! Thanks for being here, so close to home, Mainstay ?
A cultural gem in our rural community. It has a reputation for its jazz programming, but the acts booked here are really much broader than that. You can show up to any show, feel welcomed to a close-knit community, and experience incredible talent on stage.
