Very quick unloading

I came in 2 weeks ago asking for a price for a door. I gave all the info to the lady at the front desk, she was short, not really friendly, but that's not even the problem... the problems is WAITING FOR 2 WEEKS. When she promised I would get an email the next day. I've been calling back . Every time I leave a message, but all I get in response is the same excuse "we are busy and short staffed " and that someone will get back to me but that never happens. Not sure if they are really short staffed or not but at the end of the day that's not the customers problem. They also said "Wilson lumber sold to ABC supply" ok... again not the customer's problem. I can understand delays but after many calls and leaving messages for nothing and without resolution, it really makes me wonder if they even care about my business, because they sure don't act like they care. Which they should, simply because me being a subcontractor I talk to a lot of homeowners on a daily basis and homeowners always ask for recommendations where to buy materials.

I buy lumber from John Wilson Lumber (aka: ABC Supply) because of its quality and very friendly staff (inside and outside). I had a recent issue with an order, and they didn't blink to make it right and 1000% to my satisfaction. Glad too as I wasn't sure what to expect from the new owners.

I needed some custom size wood blocks for STEM project kits. Helpful, courteous, and knowledgable. I had the parts the next day.

Customer service leaves something to be desired. Prices are no match for Home Depot and Lowe’s. And I’ve talked with the guys out back a bit and even a few drivers and they complain about unfair wages and the lack of a set pay scale. One driver even got very irate that I was blocking a pack of lumber he was set to load. Taller guy wearing a hat. One of the gentlemen out back said his name was Kyler or Tyler or something. Won’t return after that.

wonderful and helpful staff! great shop all around.. the service and access to products. They found a specialty product for us (Wild Hog railing/trellis panels) and although a small order, they treated us like a big customer. They called and did as they said and very timely. Thank you.

The shop at John S Wilson Lumber Company was on point. They custom cut, sanded and biscuit joined the pieces we needed to the exact specifications we provided in less than 15 minutes at no additional charge. Better yet it was cheaper than Home Depot and exactly what Josh wanted.

If you need doors or windows, this is your place. They are very careful about getting the order right as in measurements and actual requirements. We are replacing a door on our historic property and they were accommodating with the local historic committee requirements. We are getting a modern door that conforms to the look for a historic property.

Went in, told them what I needed, they loaded it into my car and I was gone - great experience. I'll definitely be going back. I would recommend calling ahead and asking about what lengths they have for the lumber you're looking for. You can't shop around, so call ahead and come in with a list. They'll cut it for you too.

We found John S. Wilson during our pursuit to repair/replace a portion of the original porch of our 1926 bungalow home. The tongue and groove material needed to be custom milled to match the size of the existing porch boards, and their team did a great job. We were able to get exactly what we needed for a fair price, and in half the amount of time they quoted for us. Also, delivery for $7, who could beat that? These guys are the best.

This is a *real* lumberyard. I've spent 30 minutes sorting through piles of lumber at Home Depot to find half a dozen that are decent enough to use. In contrast, the stock at JSW is good quality. I've bought cedar boards and siding here to repair my walls and they were nice enough to cut it to length for free. I've also bought decking and fasteners here, it was excellent quality. The staff is very helpful and friendly, even for do-it-yourselfers like me with lots of dumb questions.

This place is the Very BEST! Don't waste your time sorting through 127 sticks to findd 6 good ones at the big box stores. Come to Wilson Lumber instead. Not only do they have superior lumber but someone else picks through and loads it for you. You can't beat that with a stick. Pun intended.

Love them. They are amazingly helpful for building products, Anderson window conversion kits, replacement parts, decking materials, etc. We have a 25 year old house that always has a room or part being renovated and they are the best. Knowledgable, service oriented, fair pricing, quick delivery and over 100 year old company. They help you get the best product for your money. Nothing fancy, more like an old barn when you go inside, complete with a friendly cat.
