Nicest people, great and affordable service, great hospitality while we waited.
We live in Maine, and I work in Florida. Every now and again I have to drive between the two. I broke down southbound on I-95 in Havre De Grace, and googled the highest rated tow truck company around, called them up and they offered me a good price for a tow. They arrived in less than 15 minutes, and towed us to the shop, where we waited for them to fix the car (2015 Subaru Forester). While we waited they offered us seats inside. They offered us food and drinks while we waited, personally drove out to get the part we needed, and fixed our car up. All in all, I know who I’m calling if I ever break down in North Maryland again.
I want to start off by saying Thank you to John and to John woman(My apologies forgot her name) Brain, KC as well as the other gentleman's that were in the shop, car stalled on me today come to find out my alternator went bad, fortunately i came across Collins towing in google search spoke with John and his lady, which then sent Brain out to tow me to there shop which then KC and John discovered it was my alternator.. I just want to say God is Great, i am thankful i came across these wonderful people, words cant express how grateful i am. Once again thank you to all at Collins Towing and if you ever close by their shop check them out good service, good prices most of all Honest people, must Respect
The owner was very helpful, gave me options on what to do to save money after I blew 2 passenger side tires drive on 95. Brian the tow truck driver was very helpful also, took of me and my family. Best experience I had in a horrible situation. 1000% recommend!

The best towing around. I have a BMW M4 that’s super low and had 7 other companies in the area deny me to put it in the flat bed but these guys know what they are doing and got it up without a scratch on it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
Doing a job 2 hrs from home my truck broke down loaded with material. I called Collins and they came right out and got truck started. They discovered other problems and made sure my truck got fixed. They even offered to deliver my material to the job. They got my truck fixed quickly and back on the road. I can't say enough great things about this company but thank you for what you did!

John and his team quickly responded to my families roadside emergency on a Sunday evening. Roadside assistance didn’t answer the phone but Collins did. They responded in half the estimated time and completed the repair in 15 mins. Collins was professional, helpful and kind during a stressful time. They were extremely friendly, compassionate and professional. Jeremy had a very people friendly personality which made me feel very comfortable. Broke down at midnight on my way down 95.
They showed up quickly, towed my truck to their shop then dropped me off at a hotel nearby. By the time I woke up the next morning my truck was fixed and they picked me up from the hotel.

I’m in a band and we travel long distances daily, break downs on the freeway can ruin a weeks worth of shows. We blew a wheel near Collins and called our road side assist through our insurance company. Road side failed 5 times over the course of 9 hours to get us. Once I called John Collins, he rolled out immediately in the middle of the night and got our vehicle towed to his shop. He also took us to grab food and took us to a hotel nearby. They went Above and beyond to get us out of the dangerous situation and then fix our problem. Had us back on the road in a matter of hours. Didn’t even miss a show. I can’t recommend these guys enough. They didn’t even charge us and arm and a leg. Very professional, very friendly, thanks guys! I owe you one.

Saving grace is Havre De Grace!!!!! Jeremy at Collins 24HR Road Asst went above and beyond for my brother that broke down on his way to NY. From pin pointing his location with very little information to staying after closing to ensure my brother’s vehicle got back on the road in no time. We were heading out of town on vacation and the engine seized in MD due to a bad oil change. After waiting for FOUR AND A HALF HOURS for AAA, we did a google search for a tow company in the area. The top reviewed was Collins and it was WELL deserved!
We called a little after midnight and got a call back immediately. Within 15 minutes we had a truck there ready to tow us to the garage. The driver even let me put my bike and rack inside so no one messed with it overnight.
The next AM, the owner came into the shop ON HIS DAY OFF just to check my car out and see what could be done. He was personable, professional and a really nice guy. He gave it to me straight (some people might not like that, but I would rather have that vs sugar coated BS.) and told me the bad news. New engine would cost me $8-10K. NOT what I was hoping for, but sometimes the truth hurts.
I was able to leave my car there while we continued on vacation, rented a car and ended up buying a used car while down south. Even though I had told them that I wasn't going to have the work done, they still opened up the engine to see if there was anything they could possibly do....again, this was well above and beyond what they needed to do! Unfortunately, it was a lost cause.
Mr. Collins worked with me and even dealt with handling getting the car to the junkyard so that I didn't have to deal with that either! I can't thank him and his team of mechanics for everything they did.
If you are in the Havre de Grace area, you should definitely make them your go to mechanic. If you ever brake down in that area, don't call anyone else!
My teen daughter's car broke down on I-95 late eve on a Friday, on her first-ever multi-state road trip. Scary for her, and scary for me since she was already a long way away. Called John Collins based on good reviews on Google, hoping against hope for some safe assistance for her, and asked pointed questions about the integrity of his employees. He assured me all would be well, said he expects his crew to treat customers like family, and sent Brian up to retrieve her and her car. Brian was AWESOME! He went straightaway to get her, took her to a nearby hotel he thought would be safe for her, offered to get her food or take her by a grocery, gave her and me his # in case there was any issue overnight she might need immediate local back-up for, and offered to personally take her to a train station and walk her in if he couldn't get her car fixed on Saturday. He kept me updated throughout the ordeal, checking in regularly with info about her car repairs, and inquiring about her location and safety. She felt safer knowing she had back-up, and Brian DID get her car fixed on Saturday, hallelujah! and she was on her way Saturday afternoon, safe and secure! Thank you Brian, thank you John!!!
It was a quick and prompt service. The man who helped me was so helpful. I only waited less than 30 minutes before the tow truck arrived. He was also able to quickly fix my flat tire.
After a long day at work my Suburban stopped running on 95. After having no luck finding someone to help, John answered my call and told me he would not leave me stranded. He made it to me in less than an hour. I’m so grateful for his kindness, professionalism, and assistance. His wife was with him and both immediately put me at ease when they found me. Huge shout out to John for rescuing us on Christmas. Our Jeep broke down on 95s on Christmas Eve. He was the only towing company that would respond. Our car was stuck on the side of the road on 1am on a Sunday morning. After waiting 3 hours for our insurance to coordinate a tow truck we decided to call Collins tow as recommended by the cop who helped us. The gentleman that answered the phone was in the middle of pulling a car out of the mud and still managed to reassure me that he would take care of towing my car. We called Collins on SUPERBOWL SUNDAY, February 7th, 2019! We were in Rising Sun, Maryland when our vehicle broke down - (seized idler pulley and broken serpentine belt). Collins arrived within 15--20 minutes, assessed the problem, went to purchase parts, and got us running soon thereafter!

My son's jeep had an electrical short that cause the vehicle to overheat. Once he arrived at the shop on Sunday night at 11:30 pm Curt/Kirk proceeded to diagnose the problem (shorted ground that melted), fix the bad wire, refill the coolant and get him back on his journey to New Jersey.
