If I could put zero stars I would. I just stopped in and waited at the counter behind one other person because I needed help with something. Well when both nights at the counter was not helping the customer in front of me, the other one comes to the other counter and takes the only other person there. A gentleman who came in behind me. Neither of them acknowledged me. Came in yesterday to pick up an order for my disabled father and the man at the counter said there was no order there. Right after I left the store by father called, and surprise, there was an order there! No apology for having to come back or anything. Never coming back again. You should be ashamed of yourselves if that's how you typically treat female customers.

A great staff! They are willing to assist with any and all car needs. Really appreciated them changing my windshield wipers on my SUV.

What an absolute joke. Advanced auto parts advertises that they will install your wiper blades for you if you purchase them there. I just tried to get one wiper blade replaced because it broke off as I was driving to work today. They find my wiper blade feature on the website showed they had several options in the store to choose from. When I asked if somebody could help me put it on I was told that wiper blades for Mazdas and BMWs are a total nightmare, and they refused to sell me the blade. No one offered any alternative solutions or offered to help me in anyway. They literally would not sell me the product that they carry on their shelves and that their website says works for my vehicle. They were extremely dismissive. I will never go back. So what did I do? I ordered the wiper blades from Amazon, which were literally half the cost and I will YouTube my way through installing them myself. How do places like this stay open if they treat customers this way?

No advance has what I want, ever. When they do have something I want it is always 8 times the cost as anywhere else near by. I am surprised they are able to stay in business.

Parts and such. If they don't have it they will order it. If they cant order it use ebay. Or OEM for way over retail at a dealership. Tools rents are nice. Pricey but its got competition. Its to be expected. Car parts are a personal preference when doing the work yourself and we tend to come here a lot.

Came for a car battery and while asking questions in midts a purchase i was asked to step aside to ring someone up, apparently i wasnt important enough to finish helping with the transaction. Completely disrespectful

I attempted to purchase a spark plug. Strike 1 the contactless pay for Google/apple pay wasn't working at any register in the store. The sales associates refused to manually enter my card details as the chip and magnetic swipe would not work. I walked 2 miles each way to be denied a purchase I had the funds and means of paying for. Since when can a store not manually enter card information?

These folks must've never handled a warranty exchange tool because I brought a lifetime warranty item back for exchange I originally bought 6 years ago and they laughed at me saying I can't just use a tool and then return it when it breaks. The employee then got the manager and what do you know... He said the same thing, he added I had 30 days to return an item and 6 years isn't it. I then realized they thought I was trying to pull a slick one and get my money back for an item I supposedly just wanted to use once. I reclarified that I want the tool, and it's a lifetime (which I already explained the first time) warranty tool, it's broken and I want an exchange. I asked: "what does lifetime warranty mean on a tool if I can't come and exchange it?" Both employees then said well it's so old I doubt we have it in inventory. I replied that I'm sure it won't be the identical model but you probably have one very similar. We both walked to the tool aisle and found the like-item. We now go to the front counter and he begins typing away and then tells me I have to pay 6 dollars because the item I bought was 9 dollars worth and the replacement is now 15. So I have to pay to exchange it. (In reality he's doing a return and making me pay the difference of buying a new tool) so I never got lifetime warranty honored at advanced auto and I just told him to give me 9 dollars of store credit and bought some cleaning products. In short I will never again buy any tools from advanced auto, the exchange process is horrendous

I came to this location (Parkville, MD) for a few things. The older gentleman helped me but, somehow, I got the impression that he was not trying his best to help me. He moved quite slowly and when I asked him a question, he replied so cavalierly - "if it's not there then we don't have any." Yeah, I know that, genius. It is so obvious that if I do not see the item, then I need some help there. I do not need him to reaffirm what I already knew. This guy needs to retire and let younger folks to take over.

The store is OK, but I couldn't find any good deals. The staff has always been helpful.They are pretty good about letting you drop off oil, but they make you take your containers with you when you leave. Why not just have a bin in the store. Instead you have to carry them out and I am sure most people just throw them away in the smaller trash cans right outside the store.

This is the worst Advance Auto I have ever been to! I tried to return a defective can of Brake cleaner today. It lost pressure halfway through and dribbled out until there was about a quarter left. I buy 15 to 20 cans a year from Advance and have never even thought of returning a 4$ can. Not to mention the $1000s I spend at Advance annually. The sales clerk was rude and condescending and the store manager was even worse, older guy. They refused to honor the 30 day defective guarantee(purchased the can 2 days ago) and didn't even test the can or hear me out. You would have thought I was asking to get a 5000$ refund. I didn't even want a refund, I asked for a replacement. Any one who has ever used Brake cleaner knows that there is more than enough pressure to spray even after the cleaner is gone. This had zero pressure with 1/4 can left. I went to another Advance Auto close by and returned to get a new can with no problem.

The guys here are awesome. I'm not very car savvy but Yusif and the staff helped me solve my issue in a professional manner. Nonetheless, the level of knowledge that's behind that counter is tremendous. They knew the uniqueness of GM models and were able to provide insight on greater car care. I wish more places provided their great level of customer service and product knowledge.

Had to give them one star to leave a comment or they would had got none. I've tolerated this store for years, I've had it. I spend thousands of dollars a year here as I work for a food distributor and buy products for our fleet of trucks. I also have four kids and we get all of our supplies and parts for our six cars here. Never again will I shop at this store I will drive a few minutes away to avoid it. They are rude, condescending, and lazy. Today was the last straw.

Tried calling for warranty on breaks they argued that my calipers are my problem and they never answered my question so I hung up went to autozone spent less money and got better service even in edgwood and that says alot to a customer just saying never again will I go or call them

I always try to avoid this place. I am a regular Advance Auto customer for years and I have/had too many old cars. I got lucky if I see a helpful employee in this store even though this is where the office of store manager for several Advance Auto stores in the area and it's the closest home. But, I still prefer to go to Edgewood, Aberdeen, or Middle River locations if possible. I read the negative reviews and those happened to me too. Rude when exchanging a wrong part, rude for asking some information or help, not accepting customer pickup order even 22 min prior to closing (Dude I ordered a day before and it is ready for pick up).

The manager here is horrible. Two years ago we replaced the battery in our car. For the record, they give a 2 year warranty for batteries. Well, just a few months shy from the warranty expiration date the battery died. They replaced it. Today the same thing happened to the replacement battery (10/16/19). We are just months shy from the expiration date. My husband visited the store to speak with the manager and explain the situation. The manager gave attitude saying there is nothing he can do and that our warranty is up (based on the original purchase). My husband said that's ridiculous, the warranty is supposed to cover individual merchandise. When we received a replacement the warranty is supposed to start over. My husband told the managet it is their battery that failed while under warranty, therefore, they need to replace it. The manager told him to get lost, get a battery from somewhere else. So that's just what we did (and for a better price). We will never give them our business again. Isn't this contrary to what a manager wants?? Advance Auto Parts - Bel Air Location (Festival)

Don't shop here!!!! Bought can of of fix a flat here for $17. Can would not work. They would not return it...said it was used..Really bad attitude. Same guy that other reviewers complain about...geez!! You would think they would get the message. No excuse for ignorance!!!

Sold me the wrong calipers three times. I went to return the caliper and a gentleman with glasses older white male interrupted the manager who was courteous and helpful, he told me in not so many words it was my fault, when I explained the situation to him he said “whatever”... up until that point everyone was professional and courteous, after spending over a 1000.00 in one week that’s the response you give your customers. Yeah... thank you Tim for the help, that other fella needs to find a new place of employment.

A couple weeks ago, I placed an online order for pickup. Website stated they were open till 8:30. I get there just after 8pm and as I'm walking to the door, I see an employee locking up. I asked if they were closing and the guy says we close at 8. I said I placed an online order and the website stated 8:30 for close. Now this is what got me... I stead of him politely saying he was sorry and asking me to come back because the website was wrong and his registers were closed. His attitude was... I don't care what the website says. He then locked the door, jumped into his car and took off.. I was a bit shocked.. do the next day, I called the store and cancelled my order. What's funny to me is that this guys customer service skills were completely the opposite of the level of service I received at other locations and the week before at their Aberdeen location. At their Aberdeen location, I wad greeted warmly and asked politely if I needed help. They were more than help. This Belair location at the Festival.... I hope they replace this person or at the very least, they train him on customer service. BTW, I drove to their primary competitor and got my parts at a lower price.

Staff is helpful. They will change your winshield wipers. Stores are clean and organized. They have good things by the register that may be useful. I like to browse through the store. They have useful gadgets.

My friend is in the military and currently deployed. He and his wife asked me to check on his car to make sure is maintain and ready to go when he returns. Battery went bad and we couldnt find his old receipt to see if is under warranty still or not. Older gentleman who I believe is the manager (receipt name says Tim) heard me talking about my friend being deployed came over to assist. He went above and beyond by helping me out by helping me with a battery replacement. I will be doing my car related purchases at his location from now on and will be referring my friends/family.

The older gentleman was very rude. No hi how are you. What are you looking for, he said. I said I'm here for a oil filter. What's your make & model of vehicle. I told him I have the box lid, I knew what I needed. Grabbed it from me walked way & said I'll get it. Didn't have that brand, tried to give me another brand I didn't know of. Not a good demeanor

One of the worst experiences I have ever had in an auto parts store. The staff was super condescending and very unhelpful, and I would not recommend using this store if you actually need assistance with your car
