What seems like an era where business reviews focus on the bad rather than the good, I've had an incredible experience with Bay Area Point S Tire and Auto Service in Belair MD We've used them 6 times and counting, and intend to keep it that way. While in the past I've been very happy with another service provider, their location across town made it a challenge to get to them. Not that they had done anything wrong, but Bay Area Point is 1/4 the drive our former repair friends are. Since the merger, Bay Area Point has brought back old friend "Charlie" and the "Ed McMahon" of the establishment, while new up and comer "Andrew" seems like the perfect Johnny Carson out front and center. Andrew's jokes are better though. Like our former provider across town, if we could score Bay Area Point S a higher score we would. They, their staff, their value and friendly service are certainly worth it.
My windshield washer wasn’t working. A hose was found to have been chewed by a critter of some kind. Everyone was pleasant, courteous and my problem was solved very quickly!
Our family have been coming here since we moved to Maryland in 2011. We recommend these guys to our friends and family. Great service, great price, and great atmosphere.
Excellent customer service! Took car in for oil change and brakes checked. I already knew the front brakes were shot but wasn’t sure about the back. Turned out that the back brakes were only at the halfway mark. This shop could have lied and told me back brakes were shot too and I would have believed them. That is honesty and that’s why I will be back for all service on my vehicles. I was going to wait for the car but they paid for an uber to drive me home and pick me up when car was done! I am blown away with the customer service here! Thanks guys! You are my place to go now!
I hit a curb and destroyed a tire. Jake was wonderful at explaining to me what needed to be done. I trust him and Bay Area Point S for giving me necessary information to make a decision best for me. I ended up buying 4 new tires and getting them aligned. They were tires which fit both my budget and my driving habits. I highly recommend Point S for your car repair needs.
Everyone was friendly. But I went out of my way with using my time and mileage to come back to them for business and feel they ripped me off charging. $85 to change a marker bulb. But being 40 miles away each way in a box truck. I might as well gone local instead of repeat loyalty business. My time and mileage ended up being wasted. Costing the same if I stayed local. Really dissappointed
I took my car to Bay Area Point S for the first time today. I didn't know what to expect but they exceeded my expectations. My car needed an air condition blower and could have been an extremely expensive repair. They saved me hundreds of dollars!! Charlie at the front desk is amazing, he even helped me get an Uber.
Their mechanics always do quality work and the service is phenomenal, they have the old remnants of what was United Auto Center in terms of staff. My only gripe is that sometimes they overcharge but that is a small gripe compared to the quality of work they do.
Knowledgeable and quick. Professional and timely. I had a trailer inspection. They took it on a slight road cruise to make sure it was 100% okay, they inspected the brakes, and got the calipers on them, and gave the rig a thorough going through. They answered my questions, and gave me good tips. These guys really earned my five star review. If you want a very competent certified maryland inspection station, come here.

I made an appointment for 10AM to have 4 tires mounted and balanced. Currently it is 3PM and my car is still not finished. My car was not started on until 1PM. 5 hours for this service is actually insane. I am extremely unhappy with how this company has become due to its new management. I have brought all 3 of my cars here and so have my parents and we never have had an issue until new management stepped in. Never coming back due to the lack of respect of my time and the scheduled appointment time.
Always a positive experience at this location. The staff are always pleasant and the service is outstanding. I will never take my vehicle anywhere else!
Great people to work with. Diagnosed my problem quickly and fixed it. The staff is friendly and courteous (they remember customers and call them by name), but most of all they're knowledgeable. The prices aren't bad either. I'll be taking all of my automotive repairs to them from now on. They are not happy until you're happy.

The customer service and technical support was excellent, tire install/balance and courtesy alignment check provided were excellent They were able to install my Mickey Thompson AT Baja Boss 37/12.5x17 on my JEEP JLURD . Will recommend their services to my friends.
I was very pleased with the State Inspection service. However, at checkout I was surprised to hear about a surcharge if I used a credit card. I had not been forewarned either when I made the appointment or when I dropped off the vehicle! If I had known ahead of time I could have simply written a check (didn't bring my checkbook as I didn't know I would need it). Bob Zaborowski

Great experience here, came in without an appointment with a flat tire and to get an oil change, and they were friendly, fast, helpful, and knowledgeable. The folks I interacted with were all honest and the prices are extremely competitive. This place definitely won over my future business.
They took care of my husband and me twice now, and both times we were so incredibly well taken care of. They were friendly and went out of their way to make sure they were able to find exactly what we needed for our cars. We will definitely become regulars.
For the last couple years, going to Point S Auto repair and then United Auto Repair before that. I've always loved the fact that they fix things quickly and efficiently. It's always worth every penney I pay for repair. Will is very knowledgeable in what he does. But I don't appreciate that I can't take my car in for repair because it's more than 20 years old. But I have to say they are very honest and straightforward. The staff is a pleasure to deal with.
I had a great experience getting both of my cars inspected here ! They caught a coolant leak in my Audi that could've gotten WAY worse if left alone. I appreciate the attention to detail !
Had been having trouble getting my car to start up. They diagnosed a bad battery and popped a new one in fast. Great service at a fair price! I trust them to do all my auto work. Great place!
I love coming here! Having my car looked at here is always a great experience. Staff is amazing. They are helpful, friendly and honest. They let me know exactly what was wrong and helped me figure out what I needed to get done first so I could stay within my budget. I've been taking my cars in for years. Even after moving half an hour away, I still make sure I bring my cars here. I don't think I could find any other place that does as good of a job.
Great shop, no problems
First went to Mike Montgomery my truck sat their for 2 1/2 weeks before they even touch it just for them to tell me my motor was blown(its not nothing is wrong).
Than took it here(only took than 4 days to fix everything), all I needed was new plugges and a new distributor. Truck runs fines now with no issues. And motor is still in good shape for 287,000miles
I LOVE the staff and service here. Every time Charlie answers, I smile because he is SO kind! We’ve been using this place since we moved to Maryland 3 years ago, and with management and ownership changes, it’s gotten better each time. Examples: when my engine broke and was being serviced for weeks (6 weeks!) we were loaned a car by the old ownership. (I don’t think they have loaner cars anymore.) Just recently: We were buying a car from a used car dealership in another state, and the very thoughtful and kind mechanics sent me the Maryland inspection report to send with the mechanic that was going to inspect it; then, prior to purchase, they gave me quotes on how much the problems would be to get fixed. We were able to negotiate price with the seller based on the quotes and we will be calling soon to have them do our official Maryland inspection!
I am so happy Charlie is back! I always trusted that I was getting the best service when he was with United Auto. When he left, I couldn't find the same amount of trust for my 16 year old car.
Now that he's back under the Bay Area Point S, I made an appointment for an issue my car was having, and I know I will get it fixed right and for a good price.
