Was parked directly in front of my house for maybe 20 minutes to move shelving and baby supplies since we are moving houses. In between taking things down to the truck they took my truck right from me? I went to the shop, told them I would pay the 250$ and I was just moving furniture and the employee proceeded to ignorantly say “I didn’t see no moving truck”? I replied with that because you towed the truck sir? These are “Highly intelligent” employees trying to make an extra dollar. What a wild response. Money hungry people. This man then starts to brag about the amount of money they took from people last week to the manager in front of me? What a great business? lol There intention was obvious from the start.

Jeremy was absolutely amazing! From the moment he arrived, he was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. He made a stressful situation so much easier with his calm attitude and clear communication. He handled my vehicle with care and got me where I needed to go quickly and safely. He even bought me a RedBull! It’s rare to come across someone so kind and efficient in this line of work these days. I called tonight for a tow was told 35-45 mins before driver got there. Jeremey arrived barely 20 minutes after I made the call and was there to get us after our alternator died !! He was amazing as a driver very professional and held amazing conversation like we have known him our whole life !!! Also their prices as business on a 830 pm call was amazing !! Defiantly will use Dorsey’s in the future if I need too and will defiantly recommend them to my friends and family
Steve was an absolute angel during the snow the other day. He saw my hazards from across the way and came to make sure my friends and I were okay. Not only did he get us to our nearby destination, he was also so kind, patient, and encouraging. He truly made a stressful time so much better and I do not have the words to express how grateful I am for him and how truly amazing he is. THANK YOU SO MUCH STEVE!!!!
Dorsey towing was wonderful. Showed up sooner than initially quoted. Steve was very kind and brought my car home safely. He also helped get another vehicle out of the yard after it slid down into the yard. The snow is beautiful, but it will teach you some valuable lessons. Thanks again for being kind, on time, helpful, and friendly. One of those services you don’t want to need, but if I do, I will call Dorsey towing.
I highly recommend Dorsey’s Towing and would give them more than 5 stars if I could! After being stranded for more than 3 hours by the tow truck company (Dereks) that was assigned by my roadside assistance I decided to google companies near where I was broken down. I came across Dorsey’s and am so very thankful!! The customer service from start to finish was EXCEPTIONAL!! The response time was prompt (less than 30 min) even in the snowstorm we are currently in. A huge thank you to both Stephen and Tara (who took my panicked phone call). I highly suggest you call them first for any of your towing needs!!
Google really needs to add an option for zero stars as this facility can use them. This review does not reflect any of the employees but the manager/owner was most unprofessional and rude human we have ever encountered. We had a driver go in for a trailer tire replacement, and unfortunately I did not confirm the labor before sending him in. They had the tire changed in a timely manner but when the bill came, they charged $175 labor to dismount and mount an outer trailer tire. Normally, we have seen this cost anywhere from $30-$80 on the high side. I asked the employee to confirm if the amount charged was correct as it seemed very excessive for such a job. Instead of talking directly to me like a good manager/owner, he proceeded to yell "I WILL NOT TALK TO ANYONE, IF HE DOESN"T PAY WE WILL TAKE THE TIRE OFF THE TRAILER" to his employee. All of which could be heard clearly over the phone. Truly feel bad for the employees that have to deal with such a boss on a regular basis. To any potential customers, I would recommend just staying away and finding another repair facility to save yourself a headache
I reached out to Dorseys Towing to tow my car from my home to a body shop. Dorsey is charged me $391 for this tow. I have had this toe performed four times in the past from Apex Towing and Apex Towing only charged me $250
I have had Another tow company make the same tow for $340
Dorsey charged me way above the going rate and discussing this with them, they were not budging on the price at all.
I will never use Dorseys Towing again and do not recommend them as a tow company unless you want to Pay well above the going rate.
So happy with my choice of using Dorsey's. My wife's car would not start when she got off work. (New battery, but the starter decided to quit) Dorsey's was quick to respond, and took great care loading and unloading her vehicle. Very friendly driver and office person that took my call and got the ball rolling. The entire time between phone call and getting the car back off the truck at my designated dropoff was unbelievably quick. Highly recommend Dorsey's!
Dorsey’s towing is the best towing company out there. Located in Frederick the owners are really nice and help u out as much as they can.The drivers for Dorsey’s are really good at there job. Butch one of the drivers Is really good he is quick at his job he has helped plenty of ppl and same thing with Steve the owner of Dorsey’s they are quick on there feet if I was you I would really recommend you to got to Dorsey’s it’s a great tow company and u won’t regret it. And I also wanted to say that Tara the dispatcher for Dorsey’s She is a very nice lady and respects all her customers that call she will do anything to get all her drivers to u safe and to help you get ur car where it needs to be as quick and easy she is the best dispatcher I know.
My car broke down at night with my wife and daughter inside. I Googled tow truck near me and filtered by distance and started making phone calls. Dorsey,s was the 6th on the list but first willing to give me a tow. Quick, friendly, and affordable service. Was all done including drop off in about an hour. Thank you for getting us out of that jam.
I had to be towed out of a mud hole on Hamburg road. The first tow company that came out gave up after trying a bunch of stuff that didn't work. The second one put me off for hours and never showed. The gentlemen from Dorsey's had the car out in minutes. They strategized before they did the work, looked through the car's towing diagram, and thought through all of the constraints (5,000 pound electric car with sensitive battery parts in the undercarriage, winch points were buried, a foot of soft mud, etc. Their service was covered under my Ford's complimentary plan. I am so glad that they did the work, my car got out quiclky without any harm to it where others had failed.
On Sunday 10.15.23 I had to get another rental car to replace a broken one. Steve with Dorsey picked up the broken vehicle and I rode with him to deliver it to a Dulles, VA storage yard per Budget rental company and pick up a new rental car at the Airport.
Budget said they would arrange a ride for me to get the new rental car at Dulles Airport. Steve said he had a feeling I was not going to find a ride on Sunday from the storage yard to the Airport. When he inquired - sure enough - no one was available. He said he would not leave me stranded and drove me to Budget Rental at Dulles Airport. His kindness, help and customer service was as good as anyone could possibly ask for. I am so very grateful for his help.

I recently had my girlfriends car towed from my residence because, I neglected to put my parking pass in her windshield. A shocking events that no one would like to ever go through. However, as soon as I inquired about my vehicle with Dorsey's, they promptly gave me the correct information on how to pick up with ease. A very frustrating situation however the staff was kind and courteous, and made the experience as pleasant as possible. They also gave me instructions on how to keep it from happening again. Not only will I use them for my own personal use, I will also use them at my business location now because of the professionalism, courtesy, and clear and concise instructions. I was stuck with my children and Dave from dorseys towing was so professional and understanding. I can say i am very pleased with his patience with my children. He was an awesome mechanic and definitely deserves to get a raise and deserves to be acknowledged for his work. Thank you Dave for being the person that you are and being so patient with my children.
I wish I could rate them higher. We were in Fredrick for vacation. 10+ hours from home. Well of course the inevitable happens, our car broke down in downtown Fredrick. Steve and Butch came, towed it to a nearby shop. Since it was after hours and we were stranded, they looked at it for us. Found transmission fluid in the radiator...meaning the death of our car. Not only did they look at it for us, we were able to grab supper and margaritas while we waited. Then after giving us the bad news, Steve gave us a ride back to our cabin (25 min away) Being so far from home, they truly were lifesavers for us.

I actually got towed from a parking space by them, so that's on me, but the polite Woman on the phone was very helpful & coordinated the release of my car courteously & quickly. The driver, a nice young man, got there very quickly despite working on an accident & even gave me a ride to the impound section. Considering ot was late at night on a Saturday, the entire process of being towed & getting my vehicle back was 1.5 hrs. They didn't hassle me, treat me with any less than respect. I guess if I ever need towing for other reasons I'll definitely call them!
I cant believe I'm going to give this company a 5 star rating. This guy, Chris, came into my neighborhood like a bandit in the night. He hooked up his truck to my BRAND NEW car and then he CHARGED me to put it down and not tow it. It has taken me a few days to calm down and reflect on this incident. I was in the wrong...with that being said, he was courteous, respectful, empathetic and compassionate for my situation. He handled my car with extreme care and was clearly knowledgeable about it. I hope I never see a tow truck again but if I do, i hope it's this guy!
Called Dorsey’s after waiting 2 hours for roadside assistance. Their driver, Chris King showed up within 25 minutes and took care of the issue, and a very courteous and professional manner. Will recommend to everyone..
We were broke down on busy highway and was towed to closest gas station and jump started our car. Gentlemen was very courteous and timely. Conversed with us the whole time and would definitely use Dorsey Towing again. Thanks for your help getting us off the side of a very busy road safely. Great job
Called with a flat tire. They were there within 30 minutes loaded and payed 15 minutes later! The driver was so friendly, great customer service! Highly would recommend!
I called Dorseys Towing after my RV broke down recently. In the past I have had to wait hours for a tow truck, (if they ever showed) but Steve arrived in less than an hour and this was on a Sunday! Steve was honest, personable, and knowledgeable. He had no problem with me leaving him on the side of the road when my ride showed up at the same time as he did. Steve disconnected the drive shaft from the rear axle which to me shows how much he respects your stuff because I know that was a pain in the butt! Steve knew a great deal about RV’s and gave me tons of good knowledge to have. Steve went above and beyond in every area of my experience. I cannot thank or recommend him enough. He even parked my giant RV exactly where I wanted it. Thank You!
This company was dispatched after the previous towing company (Derek’s Towing) left me stranded for over 4hrs. They were on site in about 30 and had my car to the repair shop in no time. Great service! Highly recommended.
Called Dorsey on a late rainy night because we lost our key fob in a Frederick Shopping Center. Dorsey was there within 30 minutes, and promptly brought our SUV home (and right in the driveway). Not the easiest of calls since the SUV had to be put up on Dolly's. Price was very reasonable and the driver was very professional
