I bought a used Toyota RAV4 hybrid from this dealer. When I did the test drive, I found some issues with the electrical switch. They promised me to fix the issue. So I bought it and brought to Toyota service for diagnose and repair, which costed me more than 800 usd. But after that they became very irresponsible, the salesman did not want to follow up my case and asked me to contact the sales manager for reimbursement. I reached out to the sales manager, but he never answered my call and message. Every time I stopped by the dealer, he always promised me to follow up and would let me know if the check is ready. It has been several months later since I submit the reimbursement. I am so disappointed with the post-purchase service, they only value you as a customer when you are about to pay. It is not a fair business.

Be careful with the service they offer. We bought a Toyota Rav4 a month ago and there’s a problem with the driving mode button. They asked us to repair it with Toyota dealer and will reimburse us after. However, after submitting all necessary documents for reimbursement, they never answer our call and never reimburse us.

The parts manager, Shawn, gave me the best service! I ran in during lunch to see if I could get help quickly with a small issue. He jumped right in, fixed my issue and got me out so fast!!

Pleasant car buying experience. We worked with Luis Reyes who was friendly, helpful, without any pressure. He was knowledgeable about the vehicles and buying was a smooth experience. We are very happy with our 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid.

Had a great experience buying my car. Shahz Kalyar was a great communicator. He sent a video introducing himself before I met him in person. He explained to us and demonstrated all the bells and whistles of the car patiently. The entire buying process was seamless and they did not push us to buy any extra stuff. He checked in after purchase to make sure we are satisfied with the car and if we have any questions. I recommend this dealership and I’m glad we chose this one to buy my car.

Great Experience!!! Walked in not really sure we wanted to buy a Hyundai. We were greeted by Ahbi who was one of the salesman. He was very polite and not pushy at all. He was super knowledgeable about all the cars we looked at. We went with the 25 Hyundai Elantra Blue Hybrid. Dom the financial manager was equally as pleasant to talk to. So far we love it! Thanks again to the staff at Ideal Hyundai!

Do not go here unless you want to be fully taken advantage of !!!!! The price of the car I got was $11,200 for a 2018 Hyundai Kona SE White AWD with 90,000 miles on it. I kept asking to see everything on paper and was told that it would all be on a USB and did not see any papers with the breakdown of anything. My payoff is now $18,000!!!! $2,500 for a warranty, gap $1,500, optional add on equip which I was NEVER told about ever. $800 document fee which I was also never told about. $50 in random additional fees. $20 electronic fee. None of this was NEVER told to me or provided with a piece of paper in front of me. Instead it was hidden on a USB and I am stuck with a car I’m not even happy with. I tried returning the car within the 3 days and got told it was only for new cars even though it said used as well. I have no way to get out of this $18,000 burden that I have been unhappy with. I told the salesmen I worked with I was unhappy he said to come back in a few months and they would work with me, but clearly that is not happening and they couldn’t care less. Please do not go here and warn all your friends and family.

Friday the check engine light came on in my car, we called in spoke to Jess and she let me know to bring it in first thing Monday. Dropping it off Monday morning she called let me know what was wrong, ordered parts etc and had it completed by Tuesday evening. SHE IS AN ASSEST to the service department. I will be coming here from here on out for my repair just because of her alone.

Took the Santa Fe to get the oil changed for free as part of the Hyundai purchase program. Was told I should change the cabin air filter because it was a little dirty, which means they had to remove the cabin air filter to check this, which means it would have taken no time to reinstall it - I asked how much it would be, the service writer said, it's only $120! I told him not to worry about it. So, when he walked away, I looked up an OEM cabin air filter and it was $35. That means these guys were going to charge me $85 just to put back in what they had already removed, only it would have been the new filter. This is the reason it is very difficult to support local business because this clearly should not be $120. I would have paid about $40 for this entire service, parts and labor. These guys wanted to charge me $120. My dad has the same vehicle, I was telling him about it and he said it took him 3 minutes to change his cabin air filter and 2 minutes of that was cleaning out my mom's glove compartment, lol. I have never purchased a car from here, nor would I ever because of this experience alone.

Today I needed to replace my tire & struggled to not only find my tire..but to get same day service I tried Pep Boys...no luk Then NTB..no luck again Both suggested Mr Tire..but it couldn't do all needed so I tried Fitzgerald..but no Hyundai in Frederick The staff at Hyundai suggested i go to Ideal from their own experiences..just a mile away I reached on the phone Donovan Taylor, service Manager who found me two tires... he squeezed me in and my price for two tires..Hyundai recommended tires..not the garbage Mr. TIRE Offered Within 2 hours..I had two new tires on my vehicle for the price of one at Mr. Tire and Pep Boys and Fitzgerald in Gaithersburg & NTB My car was even washed & I have a new service advisor for life DONOVAN TAYLOR While waiting, I sat down with Dave Rowland, used car manager If I were you, I'd talk to Dave before buying any used or new or car..any brand. Next week I will meet Luis Salcedo to help me buty my my next Hyunda A few days later I had a new issue & reached Missy Clayton, service advisor who was phenomenal on Donovan's day off. If we're you, I would get care repaired at Ideal Automotive, but for Hyundai, I would call Donovan or Missy for service advice & servicing of your I rate Ideal Hyunda: Best in class in Maryland Also "THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN AUTOMOBILES IN THE D.M.V. (P.S. Donovan explained that ideal can repair or service nearly any car brand . From my experience, ideal is reliable & honest & stands by its work & apparently cheaper than most dealerships & definitely more honest than most auto repair shops) In retrospect..the name "ideal" is a perfect name, because it is the IDEAL place for auto advice, service and purchasing cars-new & used....it may appear i was paid to write this review...but i will not accept a "red penny" for praising or sometimes/rarely "trashing" a business. Will never return agin, I know it was my fault for falling into their sales tactic, but the vehicle I purchased was way over the market price. The deals I promised weren't correct. If you are going to buy from here, make sure to check your paper two times, even three times, to avoid mistakes I made. The OTD price I agreed on was 47.5k, but my paperwork shows 48.9k. Please always check your price, not the monthly payment amount. 47.5k for Sante Fe was overpriced in the first place, and then I got cheated on an extra 1.4k. I learned my lesson, and it was my fault for not reading through my document properly. Please, people, do not make the same mistake I made.

Kevin was a great salesman, very down to earth and went above and beyond for me. I would buy another car from him anytime. Unfortunately, the finance people did not live up to his standard. They tried to pull a shady last minute switch with EV incentives and pushed their bad-deal extended warranty way too hard. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with me going in there alone or if they always act like that, but I hope they clean up their shop and treat customers better in the future.

Absolutely the most condescending staff across the entire board. The service check in staff, the salesmen, all of em. I forgot my wallet and with crossed arms the man at the counter said “well no card no car.” with the absolute most disgusting, disrespect tone. Obviously i was going to pay, my spouse brought me my wallet. To be so presumptive is bad character and service. I had to get my rear wiper blade replaced 3 times before they actually did it. Charged me for it each time too! They assume every customer is going to be nasty so they just don’t even try to speak to people normally. The coffee machine needed cleaning and was gross. Just go to a mom and pop shop and save the time.

We dropped our car off last week as the check engine light came on after we drove 6 hours for a wedding and we are from out of town. A woman in the service department (rudely) told us the issue was with a fuel injector, that the part was backordered nation wide, and that there is no timeline to fix this issue. We took a chance and drove it back down to our dealership, even though it was not recommended. They took a look at it and the issue was 2 software updates. Nothing to do with the fuel injector. We are so glad we did not leave our car at this dealership and would not recommend anyone else do so.

I love the 2025 Tucson Sel Convenience that I purchased to replace my Toyota RAV4 one month ago! It is loaded with features, appears to be a high quality build all around, and is fun to drive. I have zero complaints about it and rate it a solid 5. The purchase experience is another issue. I was initially sold an $899 CarRX that I was told was required that I later found out was not. I returned to the dealership to argue this and was eventually granted a complete refund by manager Dennis, and later confirmed by Chris. I am satisfied with that outcome and rate that a 3. In addition, the finance manager tried to include an $8000 service add-on that he deliberately tried to hide beneath a pop-up window as I was “signing” on-screen financing documents. So, for this part I rate it 1. Overall a 3. My best advice? Read all documentation carefully before signing, which means not completing the purchase until after you take the paperwork home to review. I will rate the service after getting anything done, including the scheduled maintenance.

Missy in the service department helped me a ton with my case due to my radiator leaking in my car. She was very communicative and followed up with me in a prompt manor. I appreciate the extra mile she went to help me with a plan to fix my radiator. She is a great asset to the department; this hyundai service department is always great by the way!

I could give less than 5 stars to this dealership, I absolutely would. The customer service here is horrendous. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by cocky, arrogant salespeople. Kevin, the first salesperson they assigned to us, was rude and dismissive just because we were asking about potentially purchasing a used car versus a brand new car. After that, we were moved to Marcus. While he seemed like a nice guy, it was clear he was new to the dealership. He spent a lot of time going back and forth with his manager to get the right documentation and even asked me to email the same documents multiple times to different people. The worst part was that we were kept waiting for 5 hours! We’ve purchased plenty of cars before, but we’ve never had to wait that long to close a deal—especially for a Hyundai. We originally came in because Hyundai was offering a great deal (excellent terms and a great percentage). However, after all the waiting, we were told they wouldn’t honor the advertised offer. On top of that, the financing guy was incredibly rude and arrogant. We buy cars for our company regularly, and there is no way we’ll ever return to a dealership that doesn’t value its customers, wastes time, and is only interested in squeezing a higher sale price and manipulating interest rates. Terrible experience all around. Avoid this place!

Looks like a new shop, clean and neat inside the shop, family owned, staff were friendly but not very knowledgeable at what they sell , including the newly came in management. We were told no incentives on any vehicles. So glad we shopped around before came here, otherwise we will be paying a lot over compare to the dealerships in other counties. Don’t recommend, till there are some solid changes coming to this shop.

November 2024: We needed to replace our commuter vehicle quickly and after test driving a few other brands decided on the 2024 Hyundai Venue. Salesman Abhi was great to work with - not pushy at all and available to answer any questions, plus he's funny which we appreciate. Once we'd decided on THE car, Abhi introduced us to his manager, Chris who worked with us to ensure we had our ducks in order. He too is great. We'd had our vacation planned so they held the car for us until we returned. This made the purchasing process so much easier. When it was time to finalize everything, Abhi was at the ready and, once things looked in order, handed us over to Bill in finance who is another pleasant and non-pushy agent. Buying a car is never fun but from start to finish buying from Ideal Hyundai of Frederick was a great process. We look forward to seeing the guys when we return for our free oil changes!

I bought my palisade in October last year and got my first oil change as a complementary service in March this year. Some dealers said that" if you don't get it before 8,000 miles, you are not eligible for this service", so I purposely got it after 8,000 miles. So I went to get the second oil changed at 17,000 miles and was told that I was not eligible for this service at 16,000 miles, which is ridiculous. The first oil change was over 8,000 miles , why did you do it then? I don't understand this behavior, and I feel like I'm being taken advantage of by the dealership. I was planning to take my daughter to see the Tucson Hybrid or Phev next month to buy her her first car, but I don't trust this dealership at all and will have to go to another Hyundai dealership. We went to there frequently. I took the car's picture. Especially, I felt quite offended by the head-wetting behavior of the woman in charge of the service, who appeared to be a middle-aged woman. ≈=≈========/=//======== I found out later that there was an exception to the complementary service after 16,000 miles that I didn't get complementary service after 1,000 miles. I guess I was misinformed at the time and that's why this happened. I wish they had given me a heads-up so I wouldn't have had to do this. The free oil change on my previous car was just a matter of going to the service center, so this is very foreign to me and makes me panic.
