Set up appointment online and spoke with cashier about diagnostic fee. Received email night before confirming appointment and drop off instructions. Arrived the morning of appointment and told it was never confirmed. Service staff was nice enough and said I could leave it for drop off, but would not be able to wait. Why have an online scheduling option of it is not valid. Reread email and there was nothing about having to confirm appointment. Even though I did when I called. Waste of a day.
Went in to check out their used cars a couple of weeks ago super late in the evening.
Issannet greeted me and ask me a couple of questions about what I was looking for, price range, use case, and important features. Within 20 minutes, she was able to find the exact car I wanted, in the price point I wanted it for, and brand new compared to used. I was really appreciative of her knowledge of what they could offer and get me exactly what I wanted without trying to upsell me on something I didn’t need. She walked me through the setup of Kia connect which was super painless and did a thorough job at walking me through all the features of the car. There wasn’t a question she couldn’t answer. She was 5 stars.
The only reason this is a 4 vs a 5 is because of the finance department. Honestly this review should be a 3 but issannet did such a good job that she brings it up to a 4.
Going into finance, I had an interest rate from my bank for used cars at 5.2% and my credit score at the time was in the 800s. They insisted the best they could do on financing was 7.8%. I was insistent that they could do better but they insisted they couldn’t. (Which I kinda understand because it was later at night but I’ve never had an issue). It wasn’t until I pulled up Kia 2.8% promotional rate on the Kia website where they begrudgingly did it. (I had to not take a $1000 rebate but with the the amount saved on interest, I didn’t care). I really don’t appreciate being lied to. That’s really slimey and scummy. Please be respectful in the future. If you had offered me that from the beginning, this would have been the most painless car purchase I’ve ever had.
I also don’t appreciate them trying to hide GAP insurance. I wanted it but I wasn’t offered it, I was just handed a paper to sign and I noticed it was for GAP. I would have liked to been offered it like every other dealership vs trying to be tricked into it.
Absolutely lovely experience. Issannet is fantastic! She was patient and very informative about the car. She showed great respect for all of my questions and made the car-buying process run smoothly. Highly recommend!

Exceptional experience at DARCARS Kia of Frederick. I was upside down on my trade in and my loan was with a predatory lender. I had to get out of that situation and get into something else. I tried car max first and what they offered wasn’t great. Lucky I stopped at Kia. They gave me more for my trade and got me into a new vehicle that I love! I did a lease with option to buy but was able to get their rebate and will most likely buy it at the end of the lease or get a newer model but I’ll be a Kia customer for many years to come.
I highly recommend Issannet! I went in with some pretty specific requests and requirements. She worked with me over a period of 4 days to find the perfect car by my deadline. She showed me a few vehicles until I found one that was perfect! She took time to test drive multiple vehicles with me and explained all the features and how to use them. She was very patient and professional and wrote us a handwriting note to congrats us on our purchase, and included a little gift bag. I will absolutely be going back to her next time I need a new car!
I had a great buying experience. The salesman gave me straight answers on price and we agreed pretty easily. Also, when my car developed an issue due to a factory defect (loose wire) this dealership worked tirelessly to find the problem and minimize any inconvenience to me. I’m very happy with them and would consider buying another car from them when the time comes.
Issannet is a awesome person to work with and the car she helped us get is perfect. We absolutely love it! I highly recommend working with her. The car is beautiful inside and out. She made us feel comfortable and at ease while waiting.
They force you to sign an arbitration agreement to buy a vehicle. It's both scummy and suspicious that they'd make you sign your rights away. They also advertise fake prices online. The salesperson was pleasant enough, though.

If you’re serious about purchasing a car then steer clear of this dealership. My wife and I test drove a Kia telluride, but after discussing the final price of the car the manager Brett told me he would call me later that day to “see what he could do”….2 days go by with no follow up at all. I decided to give them a call to which I spoke with Diego (another manager) we still couldn’t agree on a price (about $1500 off on a $40,000 car). I asked for him to email me the offer to which he simply responded “no…”, eventually he agreed and said he would send me something within 15 minutes…you guessed it…nothing. I find the way I was treated to be extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. If you’re serious about buying a car and don’t want to get scammed on the price then stay as far away from this dealership as possible.

Had to get some service taken care of here including some warranty service. My Service associate Jake was fantastic throughout the entire experience and was very helpful when we experienced a few hiccups, always communicating to make sure I knew what was going on. I have to make sure I mention the service manager Valery who was also instrumental in making this a great experience.
Had a great car buying experience. The sales rep, Destiny, was chill and very helpful. The managers were similarly easy to work with. And the finance person was professional and fun to deal with. We felt like we got a good deal and were treated fairly.

My 14 Kia Optima with 177,000 miles on threw a p1326 code (engine rods). I didn’t have an appointment and I showed up on a Saturday and talked to Jake Smith about seeing if it applied to the Kia manufacturing warranty for a new engine. He got me all setup, by Monday morning he was submitting my claim to the warranty and by Tuesday I was approved and my new engine was being delivered. My engine came in Wednesday and by Thursday I was picking up my car! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and how quick it took to get my car fixed and running and the open communication thru the whole process! Thank you Jake. I greatly appreciate it.
If you are a women they will take advantage of you. Go there with a Man present and one who is knowledgeable about cars. They just want to make commission could care less what's best for you and what you want. They took complete advantage of me. I regret ever trusting these people. The guys who work on cars are even worse. They will try to upcharge you in every way possible. I don't recommend them. I got my first vehicle from them paid it off and was tricked into there shuttle van which wouldn't have been my choice. It is also paid off but I am very unhappy from dealing with these con artists. Go somewhere else save yourself.
Brian was the best! There was no pressure and he was so laid back and cool. I hadn't bought a car in years and he listened and supported the whole process for me. The finance team was great and really worked with me and they introduced and set me up with the whole team before I left. Highly recommend for a great laid back easy experience.

Had a great seamless experience buying my first car here! Not only did Stephen work with me on a competitive price but he also got the car brought up all the way from Waldorf for me. Then upon coming in we were given a warm welcome by Brian who got us through the process efficiently without sparing any detail.
