If I could give zero stars, I would. Discount Towing in Frederick, MD is not just unprofessional, they are dangerous. My car was moved (not towed) by this company at the request of my apartment complex. I had no idea it had been relocated until I stepped outside and was immediately confronted by the owner, a belligerent older man who began screaming obscene, derogatory slurs at me, including misogynistic insults. I am a woman, and I was alone. What followed was a terrifying escalation: he got in my face, pulled his fist back as if to strike me, and then snatched my keys and threw them into a tree.
His son, who was present, did nothing to de-escalate the situation. While he wasn’t as aggressive, he clearly condoned the behavior and followed his father’s lead. This was not a one-off incident, it felt rehearsed, like they’ve done this before.
I had to call the police. The owner then tried to flip the narrative, lying to law enforcement and claiming I had attacked him. I hadn’t even known he’d moved my car until he began shouting at me. Thankfully, my apartment complex witnessed the aftermath and was deeply apologetic. They assured me they would never use this company again.
This business has a reputation for hostility, and after reading other reviews, I see I’m not alone. Their behavior is not just unprofessional, it’s aggressive, prejudiced, and threatening. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and pursuing legal action.
To anyone considering using Discount Towing: don’t. Protect yourself, your property, and your peace of mind. No one should be subjected to this kind of treatment.

UPDATE: I didn’t bother to read most of your response because I know you’re a liar. Like you told the cops you were completely minding your business when towing my car and I attacked you. I would had never known you even touched my car. The car was already moved. I initially thought my husband moved it. You sat and waited for me to come out so that you could attack me, yelling, and screaming at me like a maniac.
As anyone can see, your reputation CLEARLY speaks for itself. You walk around harassing women!!
The sad part is, I came here to read your reviews because I couldn’t understand why you chose to attack me the way that you did, I said to myself maybe the old man was having a bad day. Let me go look at his reviews and see how he normally treats people And your reviews did not disappoint. What they did was corroborate my experience and what I went through! Your reviews also clarified what type of person you are and quite frankly I’m appalled that ANYONE would use your services based upon these reviews! The ones that have used you they clearly have NOT seen these reviews because there’s no way in the world! You have ONE star and 98% of the reviews are all horrific!! Shame on you old man! Shame on you.

Also, highly recommend to the owners of this service, if you’re not 24/7, put your hours on google. Also, if someone calls outside of your business hours, don’t answer the phone and then when you DO answer, don’t just be dismissive. As I stated, literal garbage.

I live in the Princeton ct apartments and I was going to my own mailbox and this guy comes behind me shining a flashlight in my face it’s the towing company’s son. He than continued to follow me in the truck and shine his light in my face. Acted like he was gonna get out of his vehicle and fight me. The worst towing company in Frederick to ever exsist.

I called him to go look at a truck he was selling. I told him I was coming from Gettysburg that we would be there at a certain time and he said "that is to far" and then hung the phone up on me. I was going to him. What does it matter how far I was driving. And to just hang up on me. So glad I didn't waste my time or give him my money.
I have been a resident at condo complex for 2 years. Have a parking permit displayed on mirror whole time. Last night it must have fell off onto Passenger seat and I didn’t notice because was dark when I got home. This morning my car gone!! I contacted owner Of Discount Towing and he refused to let me prove it to him. Said he will hold my car until I pay $250 at his lot. I have no other transportation. Terrible treatment for paying residents!! They have a list of registered cars as they have contract w HOA but still towed my car! I filed complaint with BBB also as owner was unwilling to resolve customer dispute.

The owner of this towing company is a crook, I won’t advise anyone to deal with them, he is very rude and disrespectful.He told me he needed a car to use and I donated my car to him and he sold it and refused to give me a donation receipt to be given to the MVA as he promised and has also refused to pick up my calls.
The owner of this towing company is very very rude and disrespectful, I donated my car to him and needed him to give me a letter to be presented to the MVA to show that I no longer owns the car, he told me that his son was going to email me the letter, I waited for a week and without any response from him and when I called him, he started yelling at me and hang up on me. I won't recommend this bogus company to anyone.
The gas tank of my car ruptured and I was stranded but my buddy told me about Discount Towing, so I gave them a call and they were there is less then five minutes. The driver was very friendly and a cool dude. He got me to where I needed to go for a reasonable price. Thanks Again Clint!

The owner of this company is absolutely horrific. I have never encountered a human being as rude as he was. In the midst of trying to pick up my car, he was disrespectful to myself, and cussed my father out for no reason. This place should be shut down
