Arthur and his Team are the most professional and reliable autobody shop in Frederick. I experienced what it can be like doing business with the other autobody shops in the area, and Stups was the easiest to do business with because of Arthur and the way he runs that shop. They did a very nice job on our vehicle, it is exceptional work. I really can't say enough about Arthur. The guy will do whatever he can within his reach to accommodate your situation. Not many people out there like that anymore. Highly recommend them.
Needed to get my son's Camaro towed. The staff was friendly and the service was quick and at a fair price. I would recommend Stups to anyone needing service.
Friendly however the work is not great. I had taken my car there to get some painting done and came back with a ton of flaws to it. I gave them a chance to fix it and it still wasn’t 100%. I could live with it. Was very minor but still should have been 100%. Given it was difficult to see I let it pass and as a courtesy they offered to paint another small piece of trim for me for free. So they do But the piece of trim has a run in it. Really. Same problem as the first time it went there. Very nice people . But the work is not good in my opinion Feedback to establishment.: Slow down inspect and your work thoroughly before giving it to your customer. Some of the issues were so obvious.
This place saved my life today with having a used rim! Not only that, but they also gave a dam. That's so hard to find these days. Very genuine people! Thank you!

I've taken my vehicles there several times and always received quality advice and service at a fair price. They are a cut above the dealer and chain service centers where you'll end up getting gouged. Also, I have purchased salvage parts over the years and same thing, always good service at a fair price.

Would never use this company again very hard to get a hold of anyone that cares about the company? Had to pay in full before the work was done and when I was done, they shorted me $900 worth of work that did not get done to my car that was paid for upfront.

This used to be a very good shop with competitive prices but as of my last trip their I will not let these people touch my car again. I wanted them to install my tpms sensors and replace one of my rims and tires. I was charged to mount and balance 2 tires even though they were not supposed to touch the old tire/rim. In addition they tried to keep my old tire and rim (and the tire was almost new) even though they were instructed to put it in the trunk. Along with that their installation cost for new tpms sensors was insanely high given that it did not include programing. Also they tried to tell me my car was misfiring when shifted from 3rd to 4th gear. I never had any problems with this which leads me to believe their mechanic did not know how to properly drive a manual transmission which could have damaged my car. In addition they messed with my fuse box even though they are not supposed to and threw the cover and fuse puller on the ground.Overall they are just lousy and unprofessional I would rather pay more for decent service. The only reason they get 2 stars is due to their good service in the past but I do not recommend this place to anyone. The picture is how they left my car after I paid them over $250. My fuse box was left open and all the parts were thrown on the floor.
Stup's is the best salvage yard! If you need to send a disabled car to salvage, they get it done!! The salvage team was professional, courteous, and easy to work with. They told me exactly what I needed to do. They scheduled the pickup without excuses. They stuck to their tow schedule! I really appreciated their professionalism and reliability.
This is an amazing business. Price was great for having to pay out of pocket for body repairs. Kenny was very helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends.
They will give different prices depending on who they're talking to. I called there once before I am a black man and they told me one price that was really expensive and I also had a white girlfriend of mine to go there and they offered her the same part for damn near half the price....
Whet in here looking for parts for my cavalier. needed front bumper skirt left fender headlights and left mirror for the door. All they had was the door mirror and the left front fender. Wanted $100. Their competitor in taneytown only wanted $50 for the same parts. the gentleman set there and tried to talk me into buying the parts. I responded I need all the parts not just half of them not interested thank you. They acted like complete jerks
Called to make an appt to have an inspection. They said bring it in Monda . 2 days later nothing had been done . I needed my vehicle back so said forget it and when I went to pick up my vehicle it was sitting in the exact same spot I had parked it 2 days before. When I called another place and made an appt they said I could bring it in and just wait . It would only take 1/2 hour at the most. Stups is useless. I do not reccomend taking a vehicle there
Was recommended from my mechanic at the lube center out Route 40 getting here was no problem following using the Google directions upon arrival first impression this place seems to have quite a selection, I also like the fact that this place is clean and organized unlike another place that is located near downtown. Overall experience staff was friendly and managed to help me find the part that I needed I would recommend this place to anybody looking for parts for their vehicle.
Great parts yard, usually have what you need and if not they will get it. Cant beat the prices on used tires and best by far price on mounting and balancing. Staff has always been knowledgeable.
Good establishment with above average customer service, but the website could use some maintenance. Would recommend, but make sure you call first.
Here's the long version :
The evening before, I was looking for the part I needed, but the search function was broken and would not load at all. So I decided to call the next morning.
The phone was answered almost instantly and my question was answered quickly.
The location is somewhat remote and require's pinpointing the driveway, but the parking lot had a lot of space thankfully.
Signs are easy to follow. Upon entering the desk worker recognized my request from the phone call and looked up the part. Conveniently, they have a person who will go fetch the part from their yard if it's not located in their backroom. I asked if I could tag along to make sure it's the correct part I needed and they obliged my request. The person removed the part for me and took me back to the checkout. Checkout was fast and friendly and then I left. Finished my car maintenance by noon.
Overall had a fluid interface with the store. Would recommend if you have a need for a used car part.
Horrible customer service from mgmt in the parts dept.,lady wouldn't even bother to look into parts that I needed because of an error on her part keying in wrong car all together and didn't want to be proven wrong by looking into it.Definitely recommend finding your parts from another salvage yard so your not wasting your time with individuals who only get off their ass to use the restroom if that!.from a consumer/customer standpoint,I give it 2 THUMBS DOWN!
I have never in my 17 years in the automotive industry delt with a more unprofessional group of people. I was referred by another junkyard because they showed they had what I needed in stock. The fist person I spoke with as soon as he answered the phone acted as of I was bothering him as soon as he answered. He claimed they didn't have the part and after I explained i was told they do and after 5 minutes of cussing he finally agreed they did in fact have it. Not a polite person to speak with at all. Then upon delivery the driver when to the wrong building. When the owner of that business was asked to pay for the part he didn't order obviously he refused. They called me and I explained i was in the building next door. So he called the driver on speaker which I could hear the entire conversation where the driver said, in the most offensive way possible, that he had already left and refused to go back. Even though he had just left less then 5 minutes prior. So the guy tells me it's too late now I can't get the part til next week! So I say ok.
Monday I call back and he said they would get it out to me. No one shows. So I call back the next day and someone else tells me because they came once already to the wrong shop that I would have to come pick the part up myself!
Needless to say I will never do business with these people ever again. I will also do my best to inform others what kind of business they run there.
My name is Kittu, I had a very bad experience with Stup's Auto Center (Frederick).
I had an appointment for 8.00 AM and i got my car VW Passat for general servicing (Oil Change) and coolant flush and a AC switch replacement.
For this they made sit here for 5 hours, I don't understand what they diagnosed and they charged 150$. The bill was for Coolant diagnosis 30$, General Diagnosis 30$ and replacing switch is 77$ ( I also checked with VW showroom in Frederick, they would charge 36$ for new switch which includes replacing the switch).
After I paid money, took the keys of my car, I see that the entire Dashboard Panel was broken, they didn't fix it. The coolant after flushing, had a new problem.. Leaking.. They say I have to get the whole coolant hose replaced and they gave me an estimate of 2300$, with some other problems diagnosed. which is really disgusting. . They are more interested in showing the Cars repair costs to be me more and try to sell an old car which they have for higher prices and pay low prices for our car by trading.
I feel this will be faced by everyone who are trusting these people completely.
Great place to work with. I got multiple parts and they really helped me on the price. I felt like I paid a fair amount and the parts worked great. A bit of a drive fro mthe NoVa area (about 50 mins) but well worth it.
