Fast service, Great prices, and Friendly staff. They made selling my Scrap metal simple and stress-free. They’re always great at answering my questions, and I’ll definitely be coming back — and so should you!
This place can be busy at times but the guys at the small scales were quick and people at the office were nice. This place is very organized. I definitely coming back even its 30 mins away where i live but I make sure i have a big load when i come next time.
It's the same thing again. I thought this other place would pay well for aluminum, but it's a scam! I thought they'd pay better than the other place across the street, but it turned out even worse. Today, even though I brought in more aluminum, they paid me the same or less. For me, these two places are useless for disposing of our metal! I don't recommend them.
This place will look for any reason to deduct money so that they can make a larger profit off of their customers. I only bring small stuff in here because you can take your metal to Martinsburg scrap and get $9 instead of six. Owners and staff are nothing but greedy. And look for every reason to take money off of your load. So do yourself a favor and go to Frederick's scraper Martinsburg scrap stay away from this place

They claim 3 freon units. To bad I didnt have 3 items that could possibly contain freon. They claim they weigh them but it was 90 seconds from unload to me being in office. Thats just plain impossible for them to remove and subtract weight based on a scaled weight. So that's another lie. The next lie is I'm fully aware they were empty I will retrieve security camera footage to show they were empty. I was going to let it go but the front office lady is the most smart assed person you will ever meet. Seems to be a miserable person but that's my opinion and from the reviews the opinion of others also.
Has really gone downhill I remember when they were a family business and cared about their customers . Called for pricing and Nacy with an attitude told me “it’s on the board” then sighed as she told me prices … no thanks won’t be coming here ever again Brian never would of tolerated that kind of attitude from his employees
They have terrible employees. They demand and not ask. They need to be retrained. Who cares if it’s 3 am or 3 pm? I mistakenly gave your competitor 5 stars I deleted It I originally gave them your review and didn’t know how to change it at that moment.
I’ve been going out of my way to come here. I’ve had bad experiences with other local and Wv yards. This one is worth coming back to. The staff is friendly and the prices are competitive.
Fast, easy and usually great pricing. I really do hope they stay honest and they don’t play with the scale. I don’t have any complaints, I like to go here for the convenience and the rate on paper is great.
I’m just a normal guy trying to help a neighbor clean out a retired business. I’ve been there maybe 5 times since December. Everyone is nice & helpful. The ladies that total you out the guys who run the law machines the folks that work the smaller stuff like motors brass, all very nice, helpful & friendly. Place is always clean too…. Thank you!
The employees are always extremely helpful, despite being super busy most days. They stay open till 7ish on Fridays which is a huge help, great atmosphere overall. I go almost 5 times a week, sometimes multiple times a day. Prices are competitive, but make sure you clean your scrap otherwise, you'll get steel prices for everything.
Shoutout to the front desk women for being super friendly every time I see them. Never rude or abrupt.
This is a family owned style business with employees who treat the customers with respect and always offer help. The prices are always fair, grounds are as clean as possible being a scrap yard, parking is good, they do have a bathroom open to the public, and for those hot days the office where you get payed has the AC on high to cool you off while waiting for your cash!!!
Check your tires before you leave! The staff are friendly enough and the scrap prices are reasonable, but they don’t do a great job cleaning their yard. Been going here for years and have had at least two flat tires shortly after leaving their facility. Coincidence??
OMG.....These people are so friendly and helpful the service is A+. Even the nice lady working in the office was great. Sorry I did not use them before. Thanks for the great experience.
I really was glad to finally get back out here the staff was very helpful as I have an injured arm at the timethey help me unload my truck and push the car up to the. I was glad to see some of the staff that I know personally since I've been coming here for some time they do a great job here I really enjoy coming I'll make some extra money but most importantly I keep stuff out of the landfill
I've been coming here for years and they've always been very friendly and very helpful in letting me sort and organize my scrap right there and provide me with the proper bins and stuff definitely recommend this place
Amazing scrap yard that has wonderful customer service. The yard is clean and organized. Nails in tires are the biggest problem when going to scrap yard. They do a great job keeping those nails and screws off the road ways. Nothing sucks more than going into cash in some metal and finding out you have to spend that cash on your flat tire.
I had a dishwasher I needed to dispose of. I called over and asked if they took them, and was told they do. I am 7 months pregnant, so needed someone to unload it for me. They did so without me even having to ask when I arrived! Very helpful! Thanks so much!
It was my first time coming up this past Wednesday 8-3 for the place that I work (Carroll County Government) from the ladies in the scale house to the staff who help me unload my cans. Thank you for everything and look forward to seeing you in the future.
If you want to get ripped off on pounds of scrap go here. They short everyone that goes there. Don't know why anyone would turn in scrap here other than the fact they give cash. STAY AWAY! You've been warned.
I've been to a few recycling places before but this place was so much better. The customer service interaction was so friendly, the prices were fair and the process didn't take up my whole day! I'll DEFINITELY be coming back to this place in the future :) A+
I took a variety of metal to this yard this weekend, I had Bare brite and copper wire. These jerks paid me for scrap wire. They do not separate the materials They rip you off when they are buying your wire. The employee is rude and they deduct for water that is non existing because if a few rain drops. From what the owner said they may be state certified, but crooks do not need to be state certified. So if you want "better, more money" these are not the people to see. They may pay more but they buy at lower grades. This was my first time there and it will be my last. I will drive the distant to stay away from crooks. I am actually considering calling the better business bureau to complain.
