The worse towing service and literally it would cost you an eye from your face their prices are ridiculous high if I could leave minus start I would because that's what they deserve!!!
Had a flat tire and car wouldn't start. After making a few calls, I was referred to Vinny's. I called, and the office staff was very nice and got me into their system to have a tech come out. The tech arrived a few hours later, and got my car to start back up (with a neat portable jump starter kit) and then found that my flat tire's valve is bad and was causing air to leak. They put air in the tire so I could quickly run an important errand and get back home. The cost for the trip out to me, the tire, and jump start all came out to a total of $135, and was able to pay via card. Great experience all around, and will definitely recommend them to others for roadside assistance. Thanks for saving the day, everyone!
Easy to work with and respectable. Tow driver very confused and very interested in my personal belongings kind of rude but in-house team in office very easy to talk to and work with.
Made one call, send some pictures of my load out and there where very responsive, Dustin was on site, responsible, very nice person not Whinnie like most wrecker operator are and not wasting one minute, couldn't pay in full because my card didn't go thru but no worries we got you!!
SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!! Worst towing & repair experience—overcharged for “diagnostics” and treated poorly
Charged $1,470 for basic diagnostics after a $3,000+ repair quote; blocked access to personal items, called police, and delayed release of the truck—never again.
This was the worst experience I’ve had with a towing/repair shop. They first quoted us over $3,000 for repairs, so we decided to tow the truck elsewhere. We were told we’d only owe about $200 for diagnostics—which we accepted. Our tow arrived at 5:10 p.m., but the shop said they were closed and refused to release the truck until the next day. They also wouldn’t let our driver retrieve his personal belongings and even called the police when we asked. When we finally picked up the truck the next day, they charged $1,470 for “diagnostics” only—no repairs performed. In my opinion, this felt like a bait-and-switch: inconsistent pricing, poor communication, and unprofessional treatment. I would not recommend bringing your truck here.
Had to get a tow last Friday morning and called Vinnys. They were able to out to Woodsboro in a reasonable amount of time and tow me back to Frederick. I was able to leave my keys in the car and catch a ride with my coworker. Everything went smooth. Their team is easy to deal with and reliable. Highly recommend
EMR Express, Inc , we was there with AC Compressor Broke down they Tow My truck from Aldi Distribution Center to there shop 3 minutes away because the serpentine belt that runs my AC also runs the alternator, as soon as we got to the shop they jump right on it, and less than 2 hours I was back on the road, the mechanic very honest and fast working and team work, I highly recommend, you will be happy about the service they provide you
Stranded on the side of the road on my vintage Vespa. When I told them of the bike they told me they weren’t interested even though they accepted the service request from Geico. I’m 7 miles from home and they said they had a driver 15 minutes away. Thanks a lot.
I was pregnant, hormonal, freaking out bc I backed up and got my car down a steep hill. Jerry was so patient and kind to me. She helped me find a way to pay without my physical card. She was so polite, patient. and kind even though I was freaking out. Stacey was a wonderful person. He got me laughing and his energy was so calming. He got me out so quick and was kind enough to help direct me out of the driveway as I was scared of doing it alone. They both made an awful crisis, a pleasant and wonderful experience. As for pricing, I call everywhere and they had the cheapest price for pulling me out and were the fastest. 10/10 recommend, definitely know who to call now should I be in a predicament.
These people take forever they have already updated twice and I’m still waiting on them, horrible service! Please do not choose this service. My car wouldn’t crank and my Im still waiting. After they change the time twice I’ve called them and they added 45 mins. The lady seemed very rude. this is ridiculous! Don’t choose Vinnys!
Please don't call them This place is a BIG rip off, they charged me $5180 for towing my semi truck for 15 miles. I have been in trucking over 10 years and have not seen such a price in any state. They also charged over a thousand for after hour request. I am an owner operator and don't have this kind of money to spend. Now my truck is in the shop I don't have money to fix it because they ripped me off.
They were very unprofessional the manager was pressuring me to accept what ever they say and make me take the truck to their shop which I did not.
The driver was yelling at me for asking a question.
They are not there to help you they are there to just rip you off and take advantage of you in emergencies.
I was running errands after work last Friday and found myself somehow locked out of my car with my purse inside! My purse of course contained my AAA card and spare key. I tried to go next door to my regular mechanic and they were randomly closed for no reason! I called the next closest place and they said they didn’t have time to drive across the street but gave me the number for Vinny’s towing. They immediately dispatched someone and said they’d arrive in 20 minutes. I received a call from Chris, the driver, only moments later and he told me he’d be there in 11 minutes but he was there even sooner than that. I was hot and tired after a long day at work and full blown freaking out and I could not possibly be more grateful to Chris and his car-breaking-into abilities. Of course nothing is free but I was surprised it was only $140 and not way more.
Quick pickup and mechanic came in just to take a look at my work truck on a Saturday. Mechanic was very knowledgeable and professional. Thank you for taking care of me gentlemen. I could not recommend them higher for their care of customers.
When our excursion wouldn't start we got Vinny's for our jump/tow through our insurance. Not only did our driver Harvey arrive very quickly, he was able to advise us on why it wasn't starting. Would absolutely use their services again if we need them in Frederick county.
5 out of 5 starts hugely recommend. Please recognize HARVEY for his amazing service yesterday. I had the worst nightmare anyone wants with a tire shredding on the middle of the highway while hauling a horse trailer. The way the tire crushed under the truck we could not ourselves get the Jack in the right place and needed power tools for the lug nuts to remove. We called over 3 different towing places and Vinny’s was the only one that was willing to come out and help. Harvey was professional, with a “can do” attitude and clearly knew what he was doing. The attendant on the phone who sent him was also professional, pleasant, and genuinely wanted to help. They were recommended to me by Zach’s auto clinic whom I also trust greatly so it was a no brainer to get these guys out. I was impressed with how fast someone was able to get to me (less than 30min! At 7 am!!) and again with Harvey. Please make sure he is recognized. Highly recommend
Vinny's was awesome, we had a company vehicle (bucket truck) stuck in the back woods along the power lines and they were upfront and honest about time frame (as it had been a heavy rain) and very fair with their pricing. We don't often work in Maryland but if and when we do and get stuck, I'm calling them! Awesome customer service
I broke down on a Saturday evening in Frederick. I called three other places. Each told me they had no availability. I called Vinny's and a driver was there in 30 minutes. Within 15 minutes, my pickup, and my dog and I were heading to my house. The cost was reasonable. Nice experience.
My insurance company contacted Vinny’s towing to tow my car to my home. I didn’t get a chance to get his name as it was raining but the driver was awesome! He was very nice and professional. I would definitely use them again. Thank you!
Me and my wife got in a pretty bad wreck on I-270 and Vinny’s showed up and towed my truck away. I contacted them that night to let them know we were still at the hospital and the lady I talked to was very nice! She told me my truck was behind a locked gate with security cameras. It made me feel a little better. We showed up to the tow yard the next morning to sign the release papers and get a few things out of the truck. Everyone we talked to was very nice and helpful! Will definitely recommend them in the future!
Vinny;s did what they were supposed to do. Funny that is so unusual these days. Had a terrible experience with another company that called to tsay they had picked up my car. 6 hours later - no car. Frantically calling around, Vinny's gave a price - which included extra mileage. I was no where near the car, they allowed me to pay online. As soon as payment went thru the guy was on the road. My car was delivered within 30 minutes. Very impressed with operation and efficiency.
Nothing like starting your day with a dead battery! I called my insurance for to use roadside assistance. I received a text saying Vinny's would be there in 30 minutes. Charlie was at my door in less than 20 minutes!
He charged my battery and had me on the way to my meeting in less than 10 minutes. While he was charging my battery, he and I had a great conversation regarding a minor detail on my car that he was observant enough to pick up on.
Would be more than glad to do business with Vinny's again.
Absolutely thrilled with their customer service, professionalism and follow up skills. I broke down 9" from my driveway while turning in... I was blocking the entire street trying to figure out the problem. I used Roadside assistance and was allocated Vinny's T&R with Robb as my assistance provider. Robb's customer service and professionalism where next to none. Funny thing is, I fixed the problem, I managed to kick the main power supply to my truck appart under my dash getting out to move the trash can in my driveway. I called Robb back and let him I would no longer be needing his services. I was expecting Robb to be angry since he had been dispatched and was 10 min away from rescuing me. He was not! He was happy I was safe and that I fixed my vehicle and asked me to call them if I needed them anytime. He really suprised me!

This morning I foolishly got out of my car without taking it out of gear and my car rolled over a curb and got stuck in the mud with just the rear tires on the pavement. I called GEICO, my insurance company, where I have included road service on my policy. They took my information and had a tow truck dispatched from Vinny's. They told me that the truck would arrive within 30 minutes. Well, the truck was 3 or 4 minutes EARLY (very impressive)! The operator, Charlie, was polite, professional and extraordinarilly careful with my car. He took his time surveying the situation, figuring out the best way to get my car out without causing any damage. It took Charlie about 25 minutes to get my car out but he did it well and caused no damage to my car. I never knew that towing (or recovering, as he told me my situation was) is such a detailed process. I must say that I was very impressed with Vinny's getting a truck to me quickly. I was also very impressed with the way the operator, Charlie, handled himself and the job he had to do for me. I would recommend this service to anyone in the Frederick, MD area whenever you have a problem with your car. In fact, should I need a tow operator again, when I call my insuraance company I will request that they send someone from Vinny's (hopefully Charlie).
These guys were absolute live savers for me and my family! We were stranded on Hwy70 near mile marker 50 in Maryland at 1:30am and our insurance company called them to help us. They had an extended cab so my 5 year old and 8 year old my husband and myself could ride to the tire place to get a new tire. Jr. was super helpful and friendly! Even though it was super late at night he genuinely cared about us and wanted to see us safe! He went the extra mile and then some for our family! You guys are true angles on the highway!
I'd give them 0 stars if I could. I didn't have much of a choice when it came to going to Vinny's. My car was towed there. The next day, I called them to find out how much it was going to cost to get my car out. They quoted, both verbally and in writing, that it would cost $475 to get my car out as long as I did it before the next day at 5 pm.
I then received a call from them informing me that I had been misquoted and demanding $50 more. No reason was given, they just needed more money to be able to release my car. I guess it is nice to take advantage of people whose hands are tied.
I must say I didn't much appreciate their "kick you when you're down" style of business and I don't believe you will either. It is highly unprofessional to misquote fees for services rendered. I can only hope they have a great time with the extra money they shook out of me.
