Just had a chance to stop by David Auto Recycle looking for a few parts. David was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and showed me to some relevant vehicles. The yard has some dated vehicles that are overgrown but the newer stuff is easy to access. Be sure to call and stop by to look around for your used auto parts.
UPDATE April 2024: Just revisited for a replacement dash for my Suburban and was happy so see some new vehicles to choose from. David was great to work with as always. They also have several 6.0L Chevy motors
UPDATE Feb 2025: Another successful visit to David’s Auto Recycle! I needed a factory amp for my 04 Suburban and David had one fresh on the lot with the Bose system. In and out in 30 min and happy to report I’ve got audio working again in the Suburban. Saved me a ton of money and time from having to replace the amp and speakers, since Bose runs at 2 ohms. Thanks again, David!
Update 3/28/25: Another stop by David’s to pick up some interior parts for my Suburban. Good selection of Tahoes and Escalades in the yard!
Driven by this place hundreds of times. Never stopped in until now.
Needed a fender and liner for my Dodge p/u truck and they had one. Price was more than fair and they were very helpful and pleasant to do business with.
Every yard around here when you walk into the office smells like an ashtray under your nose or your standing outside doing business through a barred window. Neither one was the case here.
Not sure what I will need next but I will most certainly give them first consideration.
AWESOME! Went to 3 different places between Brandywine and Here and DAVID AUTO RECYCLE was hands down the best. Super helpful and most important they did not overcharge us. Got a new Rim for our RAV4 and they even let us hand pick the rim. 10/10! Thank you David, we appreciate your help!
Amazing experience! I always had bad experience when I went to junkyard seeking car parts. But David is just Soooooooooo amazing. He helps me find the right part, great price, and an amazing car guy. Although it is 90 mins drive for me, I will not hesitate to go next time! Highly Recommended.

Couldn't find a headlight for our 2009 VW GTI at a reasonable price anywhere. Then we found David Auto Recycle. Not only did we get the headlight, but also a cargo cover for our car that we'd pretty much given up looking for– both at more-than-reasonable prices. Worth the drive from DC to La Plata! Also, David gave us a tip to a ramen spot in DC :)
Great owners, very helpful and down to earth. It was my first experience at an auto salvage/recycle yard and David took all the stress off and made the trip a breeze. After hitting a deer I went to David auto recycle, was welcomed immediately. I asked where could I find a 05 jeep liberty and he knew right where they were. Had a good experience with finding my parts and was treated exactly how anyone would want to be treated, 10 out of 10 experience. I would definitely return for any spare part needs.
I called David Recycling, to find an engine for my granddaughter's Honda, David informed me that he had 1. he also informed me that it would start right at the key turn, I took the drive to his LaPlata Md. yard, and indeed he started it up. Top quality service , he informed me that he would have it pulled the next day, the next day I was able to pick it up thank you David recycling.
What a wonderful experience! Searching for parts for my son's Honda after hitting deer. Online and all the usual salvage yards with not much luck. With a week or better wait. Happened to stop at David's Auto Recycle. Had the parts I needed. At great price. Thanks a bunch.Great service!
Went in to look brake calipers for my Subaru. Ended up leaving with a new battery for my Honda because it crapped out on me in the lot. David was awesome in scouting the lot and knowing exactly where to find a newer battery for me. Will definitely be coming back whenever I need a part for my vehicles
Got an engine from David's and it was as promised. Price was better than I'd found for similar mileage engines and David did a great job explaining warranty and deposit process.
I went to David's Recycling for a rear bumper for my Toyota. David was very friendly and the customer service was excellent. The bumper was in excellent condition. They have a good selection for older cars up to 2012. AND very reasonable prices. I definitely will be returning. Thank you David!!!!!!
