Zero customer service. No longer a u pull lot. Gave me an attitude becaus i wasnt aware of that. I then asked for certain parts and she didn't even look just said we won't have it.... a whole section of the same car was visible from where I was..... but they won't have headlight or sunvisors.... lazy is more like it.
Very prompt and comprehensive access to multiple salvage yards and parts...Sharon in the office is very kind and helpful, but the old guy in the shop could care less if you buy the ordered part or not. With the delivered 2022 Honda liftgate costing top-dollar of $1750 w/ tax, one would think someone would have made minimal effort to clean up, so that customer could fully inspect for scratches, dents, or cracks. Needless to say, although Chaz's wasted my time and gas for a defective/dropped liftgate with multiple scratches and dirt caked across the entire roof spoiler, the office was good about refunding the customer.
HUGE shout out to Chaz's for allowing local fire departments to train at there facility. It's nice to have that relationship with local establishments to build a better community! Thank you.
I think this is the best Junkyard around, wide open and laid out perfectly. Even if you have to go in the rain it isn't all muddy like others I've been too

The part was in good condition it was as described I thought the place seemed sketchy online so I drove 320 Miles to and from they offered shipping but I thought it seemed sketchy because they only accept pay pal for online orders I got there and they had the correct part in my hands in less than 5 minutes my only complaint is that the receptionist are rude maybe it's not on purpose but it surely is unflattering to have such a smart attitude about everything be more helpful and less complaining and more understanding people are coming to you as a last choice and they are stressed they don't need you saying comments like "I told you the price on the phone" or "please don't call this phone" after I got sent pictures of the part I asked for with no explanation of where it's from I'm not some creep who is gonna keep calling you it doesn't really matter if someone is calling you for work while your working be more descriptive to prevent confusion if im calling from 150 miles away do you think there is a possibility i might be trying to get in touch with other scrap yards as well that was just a random number not attached to the business also we had a misunderstanding I got one picture and they sent three so they told me there was nothing left to photograph that confused me andthrew me off I almost didn't buy because of that until I called and they explained they sent me multiple pictures i only got one for other you should try numbering your picture for example pictures 1-3 pictures 2-3 pictures 3-3

We searched high and low for some parts to fix my fiancé's car to no resolve, I was going to yards pulling parts and calling all over creation.
We talked to Sharon, told her exactly what we needed, and SOMEHOW she found the parts for us within a day, she's a saint!! We got the car fixed and it's working great. Thanks a bunch Chazs & Sharon!! We'll be back if we need this service again!

Excellent service, people here are the nicest I have ever met. There prices were more than reasonable and even had an additional part I needed for my truck. Always call, always do your research, remember these guys are running a business, not a babysitter club, it's the customer job to make sure what u need and that it's right.
The lady who first talked to us was very nice but the two guys loading the transmission in the back of my car didnt care to stop when I asked them too as I had planned on putting towels down first but they set it in said "there you go" and left without another word
Awesome! Very friendly and helpful! They went and checked the part before I drove 1.5 hours to pull it. It took a few hours to pull it so the yard manager came by a couple times to check on me. Then he hauled it in for me when I was done. Great prices too!
For visiting the 1st time, I had a 100% positive experience. Sharon knew exactly where the vehicles with the parts were that I needed. The best prices of any salvage yard I've dealt with. Chaz's is definitely my new go to yard for any parts I'm going to need.

This place is awesome. If you need any small parts for your vehicle and are strapped for cash grab your toolbag and pay $1 to go find the part you need and they will tell you how much your part you take is going to cost you. Noted they also have a flyer describing prices on most parts taken from their lot.
I've been dealing with them for years and have always had a great experience. Today topped it off. Chaz's son was raised the right way and the company would be in great hands with him. I was pulling Transmission and ran out of time. He told me to go back and finish pulling it and he came to help me. I already got it out when he came and we put it in his truck.Tried to tip him 100 dollars for his generosity, he told me to keep it and said this is what we are here for. Of course it's a u pull it and these guys can't do that every day,but they help when they can. Great guy!!!
First visit was great on a Saturday, very helpful. Called back to ask if they could verify a bumper was at least still on the vehicle before driving an hour and it not be there. I asked if i could call back and they could check , she said we do not do that. Its a 2 minute walk to that vehicle, i just dont under her mentality .I do not want to slam them, just wish all the employees had the same helpfulness as the much younger Saturday crew did.
Ive been buying parts from this yard for years. Thry have a great staff that knows what there doing. The selection of parts is huge, and the cars are nicely oraginazed. I deal with Sharron but everyone there is helpful.
This place lied to me about their ability to know a parts color by looking at their computer when I called. They said I'd have to come in to see. When I traveled 50 miles based on the women on the phone saying that there was no way to know a parts color unless I came in, when I got there a guy at the desk simply looked in the computer and told me the color. I traveled 50 miles on a 50/50 chance they had the right color because the woman said it was 50/50 since the computer wouldn't say. This was a bald lie just to get customers to come into their yard for a potential sale. She saw on the computer right in front of her that they didn't have my part color but chose not to be honest. When I arrived and realized their dishonesty the other employees in the office were rude and unprofessional. If this business will lie, then they will cheat you also. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!! There are plenty of reputable and HONEST salvage yards around with respectful and professional employees. Chaz's of Taneytown lacks any. You WILL be ripped off and cheated more likely than not if you risk dealing with them. (On a side note - be leery of any review you see on their site that sings their praises, it's known that they try to stack their ratings with friends and family comments, not true customer reviews like this one.)
One of my favorite places. Chaz's has kept my aging Volkswagens running for a long time. The U-Pull yard is great and is where I primarily do my shopping when I'm at Chaz's. The prices are great and yard is clean and the have wagons for you to haul your parts around in. Inventory stays fresh. Good people. Need to make another trip very soon.
Very good staff and the parts were clean, functional and reasonably priced. They have two salvage yards, one with newer models that they pull the parts for you (mostly) and one with older cars where you have to pull the parts. Got a perfect tail light for my 2005 Honda Element, faster than from Honda dealer.
Headed down to Chaz's from Hanover PA to pick up a quarter window for a Ford Focus. Before I left I called down to confirm they had it and the ladies in the office knew exactly what I was asking about and confirmed they had the window in stock. I arrived and in no time one of the men pulled the window and I was headed back home with "new" window at a reasonable price. No BS, no attitude, just great service. I can't wait to go back and walk the u-pull it yard, heck I might bring lunch and sit out there and enjoy the ambiance of a junkyard...doesn't get any better IMHO. Seriously the office staff was pleasant and I enjoyed talking with them as I waited for my window and the man who brought it out was helpful and polite. New customer for life!!
