Camping at Breezy Point. So many hazards. The netted swimming area of the beach has stinging sea nettles. There are remnants of old creosoted jetties on the beach and hidden under water. They are left unmarked. If the children survive this, then there are the sharp screw hazards awaiting them at the toy bin.. The patio blocks in front of the restrooms are a night time tripping risk. These maintenance deficiencies are ignored, but the grass does get cut..

Since they redid the beach, some of the sites have planks you need to park on instead of gravel. There is incredibly limited space to maneuver even a small camper on to them. Aside from that I don't really have any complaints. Don't come here to look for shark teeth, but that's not something they can help.

I went to the Campground and it was really nice. You have space in the camping sites. You get both electricity and Water. And the swimming area isn’t that far from there. You get a lot of space for yourself, and there’s actually a fishing place. The only downside are the bathrooms. They are cleaned in the morning but they are a little old and rusty.

Nice beach that wasn't too crowded. There's a nice fenced area for safer swimming. There are some shaded areas. But be warned!! The sand can get hot. Like, lava hot. We walked down to the water kind of early in the day. When leaving the water, it was a game of 'the floor is lava' except I didn't have water shoes and there was no way to get away from the searing heat except bury your feet in the sand every few steps. That way, you could get your feet nicely cooked. Nobody wants a hard, fried foot that's raw in the middle! I'm sure some/part/most of that was in my head as it was my first beach excursion of the week/season/year/okay, many years. Go enjoy the beach. Quit reading some rando's review.

It’s not the ocean but pretty solid beach not far from DC. Way better than sandy point! No jellyfish (net keeps them out I think). It was $24 for two of us in one car. Good for families. There’s a playground and good bathrooms and showers. I’d come back with kids.

Great way to experience the beach with kids. There's a swimming area with a net around it to keep jellyfish out, but it also works well to keep kids in and contained. The sand is a little rocky in places, which makes it a little more uncomfortable to walk on, but it's great for hunting for rocks and shells. It's not the ocean, so the waves are non existent, which again, can be both good and bad. There are picnic tables, bathrooms, and a playground. They don't rent equipment, but you can bring umbrellas and chairs. It's crowded and pricey on the weekends ($20+/person), so Tuesday is the best day to go, as it's $10 per car. It's worth visiting if you have kids and you go on a cheaper day.

Small campground. All sites are water view or waterfront. Perfect for a weekend or week at the beach. No sewer hookups though! Be ready to be vacuuming sand out of your camper!

It was a clean beach, but it does get busy during summer. There are grills you can use, as well as some tables. There are bathrooms available on site, which is nice. You can not bring glass containers and no alcohol or other substances, so it's pretty family friendly. Supposedly you can find shark teeth on the beach, but we didn't see any.

Nice boardwalk to take a stroller and relax. The beach is typical for the area darker water, not so white sand. There is no cost to walk the boardwalk, but there is a fee to get on the beach. Bathrooms and shower off areas are close by, and there's paid street parking as well as a parking lot. There are restaurants in walking distance, including ice cream shops. There's a food truck that sells everything, including great snow cones.

Breezy Point is a great location with water access and fishing. Some of the daily RV sites are tight (1, 2, 3), but others are very spacious. We always e joy our stays there.

$20 PER PERSON IF YOU ARE NOT COUNTY RESIDENT. AND NO RE-ENTRY. No alcohol, no smoking, vaping, or even music. Only good part about this beach was they had bathrooms and cleanup area. Theres nothing close by to walk. Will definitely not recommend nor visit ever again.

I just do not like the flies. I did not know flies bite lol. I got bit so many times, every time I noticed 1 it was another. I'm fr dc. We do not have flies that bite lol. But it was nice

I've been camping here every July for at least the past 8 years and have always had a great experience. The sites are separated from the public beach and there is a specific bath house for campers. The bath house and beach are also cleaned often.

Such a lovely beach and campground on the bay. The breeze is simply amazing...you will definitely understand why it's named Breezy Point. Tip: take pair of water shoes. The sand is very hot and has typical beach debris also, enrty way of water is really rocky. I was the only in my party who had water shoes, every one else wished they had them too.

A little spendy at $20 /adult and $12/child. Water was refreshing in early September. The net kept most jellyfish out for safe family fun up to about 4.5 to 5ft depth for new swimmers to gain confidence in a somewhat variable swim experience. Saw jellyfish outside dedicated swim area and found shark teeth which my 6 year old loved both experiences.

Nice beach thats less than a 90min drive from the NoVa/DC area. Overall was a lovely day trip - we had enough space for two umbrellas and blankets. Its a bay beach - I found the sand gets hotter than a normal beach due to the lack of waves cooling off the sand. Read the directions on the website before you plan your trip: there is a charge per person, no loud music or alcohol on the beach, yes the parking lot does fill up on the weekend. We went early July before noon and got a spot. The Chesapeake has jelly fish - the net does a good job keeping most out but its not perfect. Most all Cheasapeake beaches charge a fee and have limited parking.

Very disappointed. They had all the signs around jelly fish warnings but we did not see them. At the entrance they charged $25 per person no matter how short or long you stay as long as you are out of the county. Then we sat down and openned out umbrellas and there were no cabin showers or the expected facilities for this amount of money paid (we were 3 people). The water was murky and looked like there were plenty of jelly fish. There was a protected area with a net but it was shallow, murky and of little kids where by swimmer cant really go anywhere. We tried to get a refund but relized all the warning signs and the no refund policy. So we were basically at loss. Also too many staff (4) directing cars to where to park which I am assuming the money goes to their pockets although there were basically no more than 20 cars! So we are very upset and would not recommend this beach to anyone. We even heard other couples complaining. I think the only people enjoying this beach is the residence beach association down the road as they made it difficult for the public to use and earn money behind it. Where is the county from this scam!

Love it. You can cook your own food. They have clean bathrooms. They pick up the trash every 1 hour. They also have a playground for the kids. Nice clean beach for family and friends.

Although the drive is relatively short for anyone in a national capital region I wouldn’t refer to breezy point as a beach. The area is isolated enough and affordable for those who just want to get away from the city for a little bit but at the same time the water is not something that I would consider to be the safest. Although the kids were able to enjoy themselves with a brief amount of time it is a much shorter drive then heading to Ocean City or Virginia Beach. In many aspects with it being a coastal town there’s a small waterpark not that far from here would suffice just as well as long as you get there early enough. With the size of the beach and it’s hours you were going to get exactly what you paid for. $10 to park and less you are a Maryland resident or a veteran. If you’re trying to grill on the beach you better be the first one there with limited picnic space that can run out quickly. Check with the website and see if reservations are required for the grilling area.

We love camping here! It’s so nice camping by the water. There is plenty to do, the kids play in the water all day. I kayak and relax by the water. The bathhouse is a little dated but clean. I appreciate that they have a handicapped accessible swing at the playground!!

Ahoy mateys! Breezy point is an excellent weekend getaway with a toddler. The playground right on the beach made for an easy way to pass the time away. It's a small Beach but that makes the sightlines easier. I never had to worried about my toddler. wandering too far away We came over labor day weekend. we thought that we were ahead of the curve by arriving at 9am, but quickly realized that we were Amateurs. The professionals got there early, found shaded spots, set up there grills and settled in for a full day.

Beach is conveniently located and not too crowded. Has a netted area for protected swimming and a.pier for fishing. There is also open shore for those who prefer to go further investigation out. There are grills and benches for seating. There are also areas that can be reserved for social events. Camping is allowed, but most be prepaid. There is also a cost for parking/entry with a discount to county residents.

Good and small beach, Clean, cost 10$ for each adult and 6$ for kids. It has a small store, and few restrooms. Very crowded on holidays Popular and good for people with lower income who want not to spend money for resorts and hotels and spend few hours in beach.

When my family discovered this beach, we loved it! Kept coming back last summer and this year, theres no doubt returning. This is our relaxing spot. This year, we will try to go camping. I love the sunrise especially sitting by the beach with your coffee watching the sunrise. A good way to restart and give your mind a quick break from all the stress at work. EDIT: We made it to camped there 2 weeks ago and we loved it especially in the morning. I woke up early and just sit and listened to the birds and the tiny waves and the early morning silence. WE LOVE THIS PLACE mos def!! I will post some photos that I took.

It's good. It's seems to be spacious. They seem to have adequate parking, and picnic tables, though they could use a few more showers and bathrooms. There wasn't any litter. Plenty of trashcans. The water is a little brown & salty, but it's a beach (what are you gonna do?) There's also a net barrier, so you can't go venturing out into the bay; that might be a turnoff for some people.
