Give you chopped up parts . Asked for tail light assembly just for it to not have a pigtail harness . Peanut butter no jelly ??? Had a big argument with the guy on the phone to top it all off. I’m being nice with three stars for accessibility of the assembly but the shop don’t really do stuff. Even asked for a pigtail harness because it didn’t come with one and he told me “hell no.”
If you ever get the pleasure to meet Mike at doug’s you are in for a treat; owning a german car is miserable in itself finding parts is even worse yet any time I find myself needing something Mike has found it for the best price it can be found. 100% family treatment to all customers and plenty of education within the mechanical field. Doug’s has saved my dime way more times then i can count probably the best place to go in middle river and worth the drive even from a distance
Heard about Doug’s from a guy at NAPA auto parts actually, tryin to help me find a discontinued part. Sure enough I showed up, right near closing and he was more than happy to walk me around their yard to look for the part I needed. We found it, but needed to cut it out so I told him I’d come back the next morning. Showed up in the morning and he already had it removed for me. Really nice and helpful and will look to them for parts in the future.
These guys are such a pleasure to do business with. They know their stuff, after, as they told me, '25 years in the business.' My experience on the phone was efficient and professional. When I got there, the part was pulled, as promised, and ready. The guys were congenial. In this day and age of the internet and bots and such, it's such a pleasure to talk with people who shoot straight and who know their stuff. This will be the first call I make in the future for auto salvage, used parts, and the like. I highly recommend you give them a call!
Excellent experience! I had big car issues. I ended up needing to call this company many, many times as I was trying to work through what I would do with the car and how I would get it to their location. Although they could have easily lost patience with me, they were instead very courteous, professional, and accommodating with my situation. Very thankful.
Perhaps the older one of the front desk men had a bad day or just represented the company's unwritten policy, I felt cheated when I returned a part he sold me the previous day. He refused to issue me the full store credit; instead, he wanted an undisclosed 25 % restocking fee. Generally, he was brash and verbally confrontational with a customer who barely spoke to him.

This last time, I was looking for a hard to find part, which they didn’t have, but without hesitation he search a few other places and found it for me.
I called to see if they had a part for my daughter's car. Bill was the person I spoke with. He was very helpful with excellent customer service. He called me back in a timely manor concerning the part and I asked for pictures and he sent them to me within five minutes. Bill your the best and thank you for your help.
Called in on Wednesday (01/19/2022) looking for a very difficult part to find for an 02 Jeep Wrangler. It was 4:58 pm (they closed at 5 pm) a gentleman name Bill answered. He was very helpful and patient, I describe what I was looking for and within minutes he had found it. I asked if he could hold it for me that I could pick it up the next day. He said that he could ship it to me instead, saving me a two hour commute. I paid over the phone and a day and a half later it was at my door. First time I had interact with this shop but I know who I'm calling first next time I need a replacement parts for my Jeeps. FYI I called many places and all I got was rude and annoy service, like if I was begging or asking for the item for free. Thanks for the help Bill! and yes, it got that TJ up and running with no issues at all.
