Called for advice on a car problem was met with an extremely rude older man who spoke to me like a child. Absolutely unprofessional. Do not go here.
I am a college student who is dealing with their first winter storm and was seeking advice. I do not understand the hostility that I received on that phone call, but I hope he does not speak to other customers that way. I may be young, but I did not deserve to be met with such a condescending tone and being spoken to like I was his own ignorant child. I’m was just trying to get my car to work to get groceries.
Be careful if you call, especially if you are younger. They will not like you.

Just a gas station and convenience store. I just filled up my gasoline tank. No rest rooms though, only a single 'port-o-potty around back of the store. At least it did not smell.

I had an excellent first experience at this location. The owner's wife was extremely accommodating and she was able to schedule my car for the day that I had requested. She worked with my crazy schedule too and I was able to get my car back at the time I had requested.
The owner called me with an update and even went over things once I arrived to get my car.

They do really good work, really quick. Dropped my Sienna off to get two bearings and an axle put in and it was done the same day. Other places around here take FOREVER to get an appointment. I wouldn’t go anywhere else now that I’ve found this spot.
I live on the Kent Island but was Driving alone and coming back from the airport when I lost tire pressure, I pulled off on the Crownsville exit and was lucky enough to find Crownsville Automotive. There was no hesitation, Brandon came to check my tire and found a nail, removed it plugged it and filling it with air. The whole time having a very nice conversation and making me feel better.
What an amazing experience from not knowing the area to finding an amazing locally owned business who truly understands customer service with a smile. Thank You Brandon and the whole staff. If I lived in that area I would use you for all my automotive needs.
New to the area (husband’s military) and needed a noise checked out on my 2010 Toyota RAV4 4WD v6, finding new mechanics when we move always stinks because you never know who you can trust. This place was great! I thought the noise may have been a wheel bearing going bad but they told me it was a brake caliper rubbing on the rotor… MUCH cheaper repair than I was expecting so I truly appreciate y'all being honest!! I’m a total ding-dong with car stuff. Got my trans fluid, brake fluid and rear differential/transfer case fluid done too.
Always get my gas from here have never had a problem with my boat because of the gas from this gas station. Always kind courteous everything's always in good repair.
Made an exception last year got gas from Smith's Marina have $3, 000 worth of damage to my boat and just now getting it back in the water from last year.

From my first phone call with Evie to several follow up phone calls with the mechanic, I experienced wonderful customer service. They were able to immediately get me in (I tried the dealer who couldn’t see me for 5 days and told me I could only go to the dealer for this problem) Crownsville walked me through each step and assured me they were well equipped to handle the problem. My repair was done and back on the road. I appreciate the great customer service!
The only place I stop for gas! I love the family-owned vibe and seeing familiar faces. Everyone is always so pleasant, and the attention to detail with the decor at the entrance lets you know how much the owners care about their business. The only people I ever have work on my vehicles! So trustworthy and caring.
I brought my car in to have the tires fixed a couple months ago because they were leaking air and you'll never believe how they fixed them for me..... They pumped them SO far past my PSI it would last a few months and I would think they're fixed. Surprise, surprise.... When my tire sensor came on last week, I checked my tires that should have been at 32 PSI and 3 of them were close to 48 PSI and my one tire that was leaking air the worst was at 25 PSI. Which is exactly what was happening before I took my car in. The 3 were leaking slowly while that very same tire was leaking super fast. AND now my alignment is all messed up from my tires being WAY over inflated for so long. AND my tire sensor is back on again after filling them up a week ago. So now I get to pay to have them fixed twice! Yay!!!!
Crownsville Automotive is an excellent company! My entire family has used them for 30+ years, my dad has raved about Andy my entire life. They are ALWAYS honest & helpful. I trust them to take care of my cars. They’re also super easy to work with. I can tell that Frank & Jenna are working hard to continue making this company the best it can be, & I’m so glad that they will continue to have trustworthy people there to service my cars.
I brought my 4Runner in to be serviced after two different Toyota dealerships tried to charge charged me thousands of dollars with no real diagnostic. Instead, Crownsville automotive fixed the issue without all the extra unnecessary stuff the dealership was recommending. I know Frank has lots of experience working with Toyotas so I brought it to him. He runs an honest business and provides great service. I will only bring my car here from now on.
Such a great repair shop! I unfortunately had to get my Prius hybrid battery replaced and they did such an amazing job. When I first towed it there and found out the battery needed replacing I wasn’t sure when I would be able to get it fixed. They let me take the week to make a decision and even let me keep it there a few extra days until it was convenient for me to set up a tow for bringing it home.
When I was able to get the work done a little over a month later Jenna (one of the owners) even offered to throw in a free tow back down to get the work done, which I was able to set up same day and the driver was super friendly and professional. They replaced the battery in two days with no extra fees or trying to pad the bill like a lot of places will do. My car drives wonderfully and it’s so nice to be mobile again. I will definitely come back for any future repairs or issues and am so glad I had the work done here!
Crownsville Automotive is a great auto repair shop. I take all my cars there for both regular service, as well as when I have any issues/problems. The staff is helpful and the mechanics are honest and ethical. I have never had a bad experience in over 5 years. Andy (the owner) runs what great neighborhood repair shops use to be...at Crownsville Automotive it still is!
